A little I'm hurt, but NOT YEY SLAIN.

Put a fork in me. I'm done.... ....see you next year. -
Nice players. But I'm talking about all time great who can take over a game & win it for you in the biggest games where it matters most. KC has Mahomes, Kelce & Jones. Only Josh has done that for us consistently. No one else he's drafted takes over in the playoffs. Without that we won't get over the hump. He has not hit on a 1st round pick in a long time. He gave KC Worthy who led all receivers last night w/ 85 yards & a TD. In return we got a D-lineman who was inactive. And where was Coleman? Honestly, who was the better WR this year, who showed up when it mattered Worthy or Coleman? Beane gave Andy Reid a speed weapon & he used it to beat us. Not like Beane had no idea that could happen given Tyreek Hill. Look all areas of this operation have consistently failed to get to the SB let alone win it. Tough questions and real self scouting needs to be done of this entire operation or this will continue to be the result. But that includes Beane & his scouts. And we need to honestly ask can these guys ever get it done or are we going to be like the Phillip Rivers Chargers, Marvin Lewis Bengals, and the Mike Tomlin Steelers.

What coach has won their 1st Superbowl this many years into taking the job?

Huge off-season for Beane. Only all time great, game changing talent he's gotten is Allen. He needs to find that guy who can take over a game on D. He also needs to do a better job evaluating who he pays to stay. I'm not sure smaller guys on D works bc they get hurt all the time. Needs to start factoring in availability before paying guys. Needs 1st & 2nd round picks that actually produce at a high level. Not real confident he & the scouting department can do it.

Completely agree with you about Brady & the offense. But the stat line this thread is about is an indictment of the defense. That stat line says teams who's offenses have scored 4 TDs w/ 0 turnovers in the playoffs are 85-6. BC that was enough for 85 other Defenses to come away w/ a win. It wasn't enough for just 6 defenses & we had 2 of them including last night. That was the most points KC has scored all year. Sure offense could do more. My point is that stat line says the D needs to be better. But I agree the offense also needs improvement. Right now I don't have a lot of faith in Beane or McD to ever get it done.

He's not living up to expectations. Massive disappointment this year. Needs to get together. -

Is it time to move on from McDermott?
Donuts and Doritos replied to Monty98's topic in The Stadium Wall
Needing a better defensive scheme is an indictment of McD (it's his D). Needing better players is an indictment of Beane (he picked the players). Other than Allen what top level, take over a game in a championship moment talent do we have? KC has Mahomes, Kelce & Jones. We have Allen. I just don't have any faith these 2 can get it done for us. I don't see it changing. Hope I'm wrong, but I can't point to anything right now to say otherwise. -
Looking at it honestly, what top level talent (I mean take over a game, championship winning, building block of a franchise talent) has Beane drafted other than Allen? (KC has Mahomes, Kelce & Jones) No pass catchers, pass rush, undersized D players that are always hurt. Elam a bust, Kincaid looking like a bust. Gives KC Worthy in a trade that gave us a D-line player who's inactive. This roster has significant flaws & holes. It's hard to see any reason to believe Beane can build a roster with McD as coach that will ever get over the hump. If things don't change expect more of the same every year.

Not sure he & Beane are capable of getting it done -
Coaching thoughts going forward

All options should be on the table. They won't & nothing will change. -
Meanwhile, over at Chiefs Planet....Keeping it classy
Donuts and Doritos replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wait, you mean the Chiefs board is pro Chiefs & anti Bills? Shocking. Good to know our board is always objective, rational & never attacks the opposing team & their fan base unlike those dirty KC fans. 😝 I know, I'll see myself out before... GO BILLS! -
How aggressive do you want McDermott to be on Sunday?
Donuts and Doritos replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Depends on the situation. But in general kick it. If Ravens hadn't tried going for 2 the first time they wouldn't have needed to try it again at the end of the game (Harbaugh was too aggressive & it bit him). -
Nice long term coaching hire at 102 years old. Nice work Tommy.
