  1. Don't eat too many... any more chemicals and it would have to be reclassified as a plastic. 🙃
  2. Athletically Josh reminds me of a super-sized Elway and/or a more athletic Big Ben. I also agree with those who mention a (super-sized) Brett Favre because Josh used to be 100% gunslinger before he evolved into his more cerebral self. As a runner (stylistically) the only comparable is former Chicago Bears QB Bobby Douglass who in 1972 rushed for 968 yards in a 14 game season (69.1 ypg). Douglass was a big, rawboned midwestern farm boy who had size, straight-line speed, toughness, and instincts. He snapped arm tackles and overpowered DBs, outran LBs, and played with reckless abandon. He could also throw the ball 80 yards in the air... just a big strong country boy. But he never learned to play QB... he was a football player playing out of position.
  3. Your post reminded me of this classic movie scene. Trivia question: who is the ice cream stand clerk?
  4. There was a Hills department (actually discount) store on Dick Road in Cheektowaga. We used to play drunk, late night touch football in their parking lot under the lights. The striping marked our sidelines. This was in the late 70s, early 80s. There's always someone bigger... and I'm pretty sure Chongli has you trumped. 😆
  5. Have you considered a career as a Value Menu Consultant?
  6. I object to this a bit. There was that Willie Mays play, and the one-handed catch for 30 yards against the Chiefs, and of course the historic throw-catch-lateral-catch, double TD play... and a few other plays, so I think they've shown some chemistry. They just haven't had a lot of receptions yet but I'm hoping that they're keeping Cooper under wraps until a bit later and they still have 3 weeks to go before the playoffs even start so I'm hopeful. Yeah I was glad to see the Bills not try to over-rely on Shakir. He's a guy I'd like to see healthy for the playoffs. Thanks for posting this ^^^^^^^^^^^ 👍 Cooper has an interesting way of speaking. It really seems like he's thinking as he's talking. He seems pretty smart and pretty deep to me.
  7. Do we know who sent him Elvis? Josh's privacy is imposed upon a lot. He's such a good sport about playing along with things. Love the guy.
  8. I think it's more they've not always picked the right guy. They nailed Tre White but without naming names they've whiffed on a lot of their defensive picks... sometimes not totally but in retrospect there's proved to be better players that they passed over. Think of the guys that could be wearing Bills unis in retrospect.
  9. Besides the Art Institute and the Motown Museums you've mentioned another great visit is the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. I grew up and lived in Buffalo and her suburbs for 40 years. To me Buffalo, Cleveland, and Detroit are cousins. Culturally, the ethnic groups, architecture, history... so much of it is similar. People out here are always surprised when I tell them that Buffalo is closer to Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Toronto than it is New York City... and Buffalo's culture is much more midwestern than it is eastern seaboard... we have little in common with NYC, Boston, Philly, DC, etc. In fact while Buffalo and Cleveland are on Lake Erie, Detroit is on a body of water which is essentially a tributary of Lake Erie... the city limits are less than 30 miles from Lake Erie. So while many dwell on differences and rivalries (what is with Buffalonians hating on Canadians... what the hell is that all about?), I've always felt a kinship with Cleveland and Detroit.
  10. He hasn't posted here since Dale Hamer passed away (inside joke... sorry). Chongli I love you but this is the silliest thing you've ever said... "I tried to be alert so I could catch him in the act." Because... you couldn't afford the consequences of having your guard down to a stranger on a message board? You were afraid to be bamboozeld by some anonymous goober? Dude, this is seriously one of the funniest things I've ever heard!!! I agree that Ice Bowl was his earnest and sincere self... I never got the feeling that it was a schtick.
  11. Well you can rest assured that I'll be doing my part.
  12. Now that I've cracked the code on $2 hot dogs, about those $2 bags of popcorn...
  13. That's because the equipment manager still hasn't figured out how to fit his last name on the back of a jersey.
  14. Voila! And there's your $2 hot dog!!! $3.49 is typical for what, where?
  15. Innocent question... what's technically the difference between a hot dog and a vienna sausage? Also what's the smallest hot dog roll currently being manufactured?
  16. Why re-write the headline at all? What do you think his motivation for doing so was?
  17. Yeah the more interesting discussion now is what the WR corps is still in need of. Big and fast and field-stretching would be on my wish list too... maybe someone like Marques Valdez-Scantling. 🙂
  18. I'm curious what you mean by "a Gabe Davis type?"
  19. Yes! More specifically it was halftime of that game... but we punted in OT and they came down the field and scored a TD. I hate that we lost that game and that they never played against each other in Josh's prime.
  20. With no data to back it up it looks to me that the Bills have been a bit more stubborn about trying to force the run on obvious running downs.
  21. So how would you characterize the running game this year compared to last year? Do you think they've regressed or stayed the same?
  22. Yep! Even when Russ "Eddie" Brandon was wearing a V-neck cardigan, he was still oozing with slime!
  23. Are there comments below the article? That would be another way of calling him out. It's not only the media. Politicians lie to our faces and try to scrub their content. In human history, truth has never meant less than it does now. I wish I believed that this behavior didn't have a trickle-down effect to the general public.
