  1. I fixed it for you. In recognition for him coaching Josh to push the ball downfield and disregard his open receivers underneath, I propose "Forsey." Logic or @Logic? Cue Gunner Bill in 5... As @JakeFrommStateFarm posited, Josh was a big advocate for promoting Dorsey. Now Josh has the opportunity to make Dorsey look good or not. There's no question Josh is a top 3 QB... can he take the final step and win a Super Bowl? On paper it looks to me that there's enough talent to do so. Can Dorsey and Allen come through?
  2. Apparently Isaiah's comments on Tyler Dunne's podcast didn't only opine on the outcome had the game been played in a domed stadium... he used that subject to suggest that the Bills coaching staff was out-coached by the Bengals staff. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/05/20/jamarr-chase-responds-to-claim-bengals-bills-playoff-game-would-have-been-different-in-a-dome/ “The Bengals ran basic routes, maybe we should’ve did that, ran basic routes,” McKenzie said, via SI.com. “Like out routes, go balls, you know, instead of running routes that you have to be going lateral or coming back to the football, or turning and running curls and things like that. If we were in a dome it would have been a totally different game.”
  3. It's a given that the food and beverages are going to be expensive. That doesn't mean they have to suck though. Thanks for the link. Too bad they don't mention which companies have the F&B contracts. What's most interesting are the comments... very little pro-Buffalo shaming but lots of people commenting on how crappy the food is and has always been at Bills and Sabres games. Delaware North/Sportservice is not very popular and there's very little sympathy towards them losing the bid. I think their longtime ownership of the Boston Bruins is one factor... that and the fact they suck at what they do.
  4. In this case it would be a free agent signing. Even if Rousseau does, I'd like to see another pass rusher. You can't have too many, especially when your best edge is in the twilight and the rest are unproven.
  5. Not quite peanuts but not a ton either: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/justin-houston-7789/ The actual point to me is that Justin Houston (9.5 sacks), Leonard Floyd (9.0 sacks), Yannick Ngakoue (9.5 sacks), Robert Quinn (18.5 in 2021), Melvin Ingram (6.0 sacks),and Frank Clark (5.0 sacks) are all free agents. None intend to retire and none will get the money they're seeking which means that most of these guys if not all can be had fairly cheaply. Of this group Frank Clark and Leonard Floyd have Super Bowl rings which could mean that like Justin Houston, Ngakoue, Quinn, and Ingram might find the Bills an attractive destination.
  6. I'll be very surprised if he plays so much as a single down as a safety in the NFL. Yes he does. His weight is non-issue to me.
  7. A 5 page thread on a message board convinces me of nothing. If it was in North Collins about the high school football team maybe, but not an NFL message board. That doesn't even move the needle as they say. Just a bunch of bored NFL fans talking about very little... as happens here every day.
  8. To the highlighted regarding John Elway, Brandon Beane just completed his 5th draft with the Bills. In those drafts he's selected 39 players. Statistically this would be considered a small sample size... not enough to have much statistical validity. Beyond the small sample size there's also an element of luck as it applies to good and bad offseasons. There's no debating that all clubs have hits and misses. NFL GMs have a small window in which to establish themselves. That means it's imperative that they have near-immediate success. The problem is that player personnel success is not predictable or proportional... some offseasons are epic and others are forgettable. With bad luck you might start your tenure with no appreciable improvement and you'll get fired. In other cases if you had 2-3 solid offseasons at the front end of your tenure, it'ill probably buy you some goodwill when the pendulum of luck swings the other way... as in the case of Elway. My point is that although many perceive the success and failure of GMs as fairly clear cut, there's a lot of luck involved. Most NFL GMs are fired based on short term results (small sample size) which are not necessarily a reflection of their competencies. In many cases they just weren't afforded enough time. As it applies to Beane, his most recent drafts have come under some criticism but employing the same systems and methodology (trusting the process), there's no telling when he might have a draft for the ages. And this is true for most GMs because none of them are infallible and many of them are simply not given a fair chance, especially those that get off to a slow start.
  9. To me, regardless of whether it comes from the player or the agent, the scrubbing of the social media account is a meaningless and empty protest. I don't think it really applies much pressure to the club because it's become so commonplace. And I'm one who agrees that it's childish. No one bats an eye anymore when it happens. Can you imagine being the Jets or their fans? They swung and missed on Sam Darnold (3rd overall in 2018) and then Zach Wilson (2nd overall in 2021). No wonder they went the trade route this time. The Jets won the Joe Namath Super Bowl but have almost nothing to show in their history aside from that... The New York Sack Exchange? While we're still without a Super Bowl we do have a higher all-time winning percentage as well as leading the all-time series between the teams. And yes, I detest the New York Jets too... almost at the same level as my hatred for the Patriots and the Dolphins.
  10. It was 6 years ago but I've had nothing but bad luck since that glorious victory in the 2016 Big Bowl. The Ground Chuck is gonna be kicking ass and taking names in 2023!!!
  11. It's NOT a big deal. WHO said it was a BIG deal anyways? WHY does everyone have to blow EVERYTHING out of proportion... I JUST SAID IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL!!! Peaches and Herb are great but you should try it the other way around... the Herb and THEN the Peaches... that's really great.
  12. Simon Cowell.
  13. Yeah but doesn't Josh answer "Yes" in response to the "Mailman?" comment or was that my imagination?
  14. That's because you're a chicken.
  15. There's some contentiousness on the board about the degree if any that Von Miller has had on this offseason's roster additions. It could just be coincidence but so far the Bills have signed 4 former Von Miller teammates, David Edwards, Taylor Rapp, Travin Howard, and Shane Ray.
  16. Yes it's on Dorsey and Josh to make it all work. Every one of your bullet points assumes the wost case. Yes, the biggest piece missing on the O-line is a proven swing tackle but those aren't growing on trees.
  17. It's really hard to say who's at fault for Josh ignoring the layups and going for 3 pointers. There's one theory that his elbow injury was more painful when throwing short. There's another theory that Daboll was more persuasive than Dorsey in convincing Josh to take the layups. At any rate, the Bills offense definitely needs to take the sure gains at a higher percentage than they did last year, IMO.
  18. I don't see why Dorian Williams can't play at the level of Tremaine Edmunds once he gets some experience under his belt. We'll see.
