  1. I don't know if there's a single NFL GM who participates on social media but I would say that Beane is actually fairly chatty as GMs go. I sometimes think to myself that he's a bit too forthcoming.
  2. Yes, it'll really be a matter of degree. I'm guessing he's not gonna get much work on the left side... less cross training than the other guards I think.
  3. The Bills have already had a Lumpkin... https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LumpJo20.htm
  4. The biggest takeaway for me was that O'Cyrus Torrence got work at both guard positions. Not that I'm surprised because all NFL teams value positional versatility and in fact require it due to the number of O-linemen who typically dress each week. That said, I was wondering if the Bills would glue him to the right side just to enhance his proficiency at that spot... to accelerate his development into an opening day starter.
  5. Regardless of stats, Gates seems like an odd person to come up in discussion as a comparable because stylistically he and Kincaid seem very different to me. Changing gears, last week The Athletic had more discussion on Kincaid: “I like Kincaid to Buffalo,” an exec said. “He was clearly the No. 1 tight end for us. You put him in that offense, then you take the guard in the second round. That is scary for a top-five offense to reload and potentially get better. I like what they did.” The Athletic’s Randy Mueller (former New Orleans GM) ranked Kincaid as the 10th-best prospect in this draft and his favorite overall evaluation. “Getting the player is one thing, deploying him is another,” another exec said. “When you start talking about the contenders, Buffalo is not necessarily going the other way, but they do rely too much on their quarterback. The key is going to be how well their coordinator is able to use two tight ends. You don’t see every coordinator do that well.” Paywall and apologies if this was already posted: https://theathletic.com/4490198/2023/05/05/nfl-draft-class-analysis-execs-unfiltered/
  6. Duck Hodges...
  7. He hasn't played in the NFL since 2018. Since then he's played parts of two seasons in the CFL. Possible camp body... zero expectations from over here.
  8. Nacho Cheese is the traditional flavor from back in the day but Cool Ranch has really made it's mark.
  9. I'm sure your... partner is used to this by now. "Another ayahuasca Sir?"
  10. @Thurman#1, I'm not really understanding your point above. Levi Wallace was an undrafted free agent who ended up starting for 4 years. Doesn't someone who is drafted generally carry greater expectations than someone who is undrafted? Doesn't someone who is drafted earlier generally carry greater expectations than someone who is drafted later? Of course there are UDFAs who buck the odds and exceed expectations. And certainly we would like to believe that sports is free of politics and is a pure meritocracy but if a guy is undrafted, isn't it fair to say that no team envisioned him being a starter for 4 years? That's what I mean when I say "He was never supposed to be the guy."
  11. Indeed. Being preseason Super Bowl favorites to not being in the top 5 in the AFC? Ancho's tweet is some combination of click bait and groupthink... basically an open-faced shyt sandwich served for mass consumption... the exact reason I don't have a twitter account.
  12. All true but same general idea... as an undrafted free agent Levi wasn't supposed to be a 4 year starter for the Bills. He was never supposed to be the guy.
  13. Trey Lance never played for the Bills.
  14. Fair question. Well-constructed post. Tre White was starting to be used in press coverage more frequently before his injury. Elam is a press corner too. I believe that the transition from Frazier to McDermott will include the Bills playing less off coverage. If he came back for the veteran minimum I'd be fine with it but I doubt Levi would think that coming back to Buffalo as a depth player would be a good career decision. There were other replacement attempts... Kevin Johnson, Vontae Davis, Phillip Gaines if I recall correctly.
  15. I worked in fine dining in the 80's... before their was a foodie movement... before the Food Network, etc. I'm actually a pretty accomplished cook but those were destitute days and believe it or don't, i could stretch a tight grocery budget. Yeah Dinty Moore is one step up from dog food but if you know how to cook, you can actually make it palatable. 😛
  16. Skimmed over the linked listing... it looks like the assessed value is only $570K and monthly property tax payments are $3200. Edit: Redfin has property taxes at $2900/month.
  17. Ditalini is the pasta used in Pasta Fagiola. I used to make a similar meal with Progresso Lentil Soup and Ditalini. I also did a rice dish based on Dinty Moore Beef Stew... add water and rice, a few onions and simmer it covered until the rice is cooked... good makeshift bachelor food from the college days.
  18. Can you send us an audition video? Also an audio recording with a decibel meter would be helpful.
  19. Who's upset? In the second half of last year the Buffalo News reported that Davis was playing through a thumb injury... FWIW.
  20. I only recognize the 3 obvious ones... anyone know the others?
  21. Have you looked in the mirror lately? You've really let yourself go...
