Blown out? They didn’t have a QB in that game. Their defense actually held Hurts down quite a bit too. Don’t just read the final score. Context matters. What would be the score if we played the eagles with no qb? Bosa will sign this week and it’ll be fine. He wouldn’t be playing in the preseason anyways. No lose? They gave up a 4th for a 3rd string QB. Dak already was being questioned now there are just more headlines after this trade everytime Dak throws a pick. Horrible trade by them.
-
Lol in a manner of speaking as far as defending them goes. Giving CMC to KS is unfair. Like giving a mad scientist another tool to cook up evil formulas. Best weapons in the league plus the best offensive mind outside of Andy Reid. We haven’t even hit on their defense yet which is tops in the league too and added freakin Javon Hargrave too.
-
They’re not looking to get deep. They’re all YAC monsters. Everything KS draws up is with the intent to get open quick (which they always do), then hit the open guy and let him go to work. You miss the tackle and they might house it, Deebo especially. Disagree on Aiyuk. He’s a great route runner and does everything well. You can’t compare the weapons Fitz had to what Purdy has either. One was playing with a butter knife for a weapon, the other has machine guns.
-
Because he also has built the best roster in the NFL by a sizable margin.
-
But he’s not. Once they added McCafferey, it was over. They now have 4 elite guys that can do it all, most notably get YAC. Who are these “good defenders” that can stick with a man for 3 seconds? Let alone stick with 4 elite men? Add in that KS schemes them open in 2 seconds and it’s not really possible. Use us as the example. Even if you think Tre can stick with Deebo (which is debateable), who takes Aiyuk? Dane? Elam? Please. Who takes kittle? Milano could stay with him some I guess but it’s tough. And are you asking Taron Johnson to stick with McCafferey? Good luck. And after you spend all that energy trying to match up, they can all run block, and now they gashed you for 40 yards. It’s tough. We’re not built to be anywhere near them. And you say well the chiefs can do it. Well yeah but Mahomes and Reid are a different story. The Bengals too. They have weapons and they play tough. We have 1 true weapon and we are finesse. If I seem frustrated it’s because I am. Niners got CMC for pennies based on how good he is. Beane should’ve given Josh that type of weapon. Instead we have given him Diggs and that’s it. Maybe Kincaid breaks out but he’s a rookie.

100%. Their roster is light years ahead of ours too. It’s the best in the nfl actually. Coaching is way better too. At a minimum they’re making the NFC title game and I already bet them to win the Super Bowl too.
-
I would’ve been FURIOUS if we gave up a 4th for him. If a QB can’t succeed in SF in that simple system where every throw is wide open, then they’re just not going to succeed.
-
Niners fleeced the cowboys here. A 4th for a 3rd string QB who no one else wanted? And he’s maybe 3rd string at best now on the cowboys. And you gave up a 4th?!
-
It’s 100% both Yep they invest in the lines. Broderick Jones and Seumalo. Added Benton on the D line who can step right in for Heyward probably when he’s gone.
-
I hear ya. Andy Reid is light years ahead of us in every way. Then they give him the tools to work with (o line). It’s almost unfair.
-
One GM (kc) prioritizes their franchise QB by protecting them. Then you have Beane. It’s so hard to watch others do what’s smart.
-
Disagree partially with point 1. While it’s true the bills haven’t been in position at the top of the draft, you could make the same argument for the chiefs and bengals but their general managers realize the importance of offensive line and they made moves. The chiefs have rebuilt their line TWICE in the last few years and the Bengals have improved theirs too. Chiefs grabbed Donovan Smith and Jawaan Taylor for this year. Wouldn’t you feel better if Beane did that? That was after they added Orlando brown the year before and won the SB. Beane just doesn’t seem to care about Josh getting murdered week in and week out. We only have so many years with josh and we are wasting them.

No it’s a half ass approach simply because our tackles are both below league average -

100%. We have our franchise qb FINALLY. And we give him Dawkins and brown. He deserves better. We deserve better. people overlook Dawkins poor play because he loves bills mafia and the “shnow “ comments but he’s a bum. Him and brown are going to get josh killed again and they completely limit what this team could be. -

Dion has sucked for a long time now. Brown has just masked it because he’s even worse. But Dawkins sucks too. We don’t have 1 good tackle. Bills will never win a SB until they get serious about building a real OL. -
This. Josh covers so many shortcomings on this roster due to Beanes crappy drafting especially in rounds 2 and especially 3. The constant misses in those key rounds are what ultimately are going to continue to keep us from winning it all. That and his failure to protect Josh and instead waste picks on guys like Bernard, Basham, and Williams.
-
Wanya Morris (OT), Michael Wilson (Wr) and Sika (dt) all were on the board and should’ve been the selection. Instead we threw the pick away just like last year when we burned the pick on Bernard instead of taking Parham.
-
Everyone is worried about Spencer brown including me. I feel like the only one who thinks Dawkins is a problem too.
-
Nothing new here. Josh has been running for his life from day 1 while the Bills do nothing about it. Just hope he doesn’t get injured again this year.

This. Too many AJE, Basham, Bernard, Elam type picks to continue to remain viable in the AFC where everyone else at the top is nailing their draft picks. Elam is clearly better and should be getting the reps. He could form that dynamic duo with Tre. Instead we think Dane will be able to hang with the #2 WRs on the other teams? Yeah right. Beane has hit on some nice picks but we are going to look back and wonder what if when it comes to this era of bills football. We can’t keep lighting 3rd round picks on fire like they don’t matter. We can’t keep putting Spencer brown out there thinking josh won’t get murdered again all year while the bengals and chiefs make the right moves. -
PFF Top 50 Players for 2023 - Josh Allen at 12, Diggs at 24

This. People get tired of hearing it but our OL SUCKS. I’m throwing Dawkins into that as well since he’s pretty average as well at best. He gets beat all the time too. If josh has time and weapons (all the things that Mahomes, hurts and burrow have in spades) then no telling how good we could be. Instead it’s josh having to escape with his life immediately every play and having to pass to JAGs since Diggs is being taken out of the game by the other team. This is what I’m always going to remember about this period of the Bills. What could’ve been if they’d given josh what he needed. As far as the chiefs and who they fear more, it’s definitely the bengals. Chiefs know they can always score enough on us since we play such a vanilla D and let them do what they want. Bengals adjust every game to Mahomes and mix things up to limit him. Josh is better than Burrow but the bengals D is scarier to play against than ours due to their ability and willingness to make adjustments. -

Warner is the best LB in football and it’s laughably not close. He’s so far ahead of his peers. On a path to a good jacket. Unless you’re just weighting QBs overall as higher then I don’t know why Warner being so high is funny. -

This and I can’t stress this enough. We have our generational QB and we’ve failed him. Yes we’ve had good years but all because he lifts up the crap around him. It’s embarrassing that all we’ve given him is Diggs when good WRs are so damn easy to find. Our o line sucks, we haven’t properly invested in it. Josh runs for his life every single week. It’s crazy when you compare weapons that the other top guys have versus the crap josh is working with. -

Unfortunately so. Can’t wait to watch Spencer Brown get josh murdered again this year. Also looking fwd to teams doubling Diggs since they know Gabe can only run to routes and has unreliable hands. FUN STUFF! -
Guy hasn’t had an elite QB but got to the SB with the 49ers and gets to the NFC title game all the time with whoever he has at QB. He’ll get there again this year, regardless if he has Sam darnold or trey lance or purdy. He’s an offensive genius. He loses coordinators every year, doesn’t matter. Somehow he’s just levels above everyone else but Reid. I mean who else would be above him?
