Bills are probably wishing they had Elam back with they way their secondary is looking for week 1. Dallas definitely seems to be a better fit for him. They were mostly in man coverage last night.

Maybe they coulda had just a few more drives not end in 3 and out? Sam Martin punted more times in 2024 than he did in 2023 and more than he did in 2022. Never said what they were doing wasn't working. Not asking for any radical change either. Bills were 49% run - 51% pass last year. I liked it better when we were around 45% run - 55% pass. I just think if you have a future HOF QB you should be trying to lean into the passing game more. Ideally, I just want the 2021 playoff Bills back. That was the one time they scored enough points to beat the Chiefs. I really didn't want to turn this into a Josh Allen thread. Oh well.

Shoulder injury in 2022 that he played through, elbow injury that gave him occasional numbness in his hand 2023, broken hand last year plus possible concussion that he may have played through as well. Not a good track record for a long productive career. Josh has the Brett Favre mindset and I'm positive he would play through any injury(I actually think he's deliberately going after Brett's consecutive game record) but it could eventually catch up to him and and degrade his physical ability.

Maybe I'm a homer but I feel they could've scored even more. Most points scored in team history with bottom 5 WR group in the league is an odd pairing. Also Josh has been putting his body on the line too much. Rather not Cam Newton him out of the league.

Not disparaging the run but I thought they were a little too conservative at times. Romo was saying it on almost every broadcast he did of Bills games last year. Cook is obviosly the second best person on offense behind Josh Allen. I'd like to see less designed runs with Josh Allen though. And I'd rather see Ty Johnson on the field instead of Ray Davis. edit: I still to this day hate that Brady will absolutely never dial up a pass play on second and short.

I think your optimistic take is probably spot on. That's if Joe Brady allows josh to throw the ball this year or if we're gonna be mostly a run heavy offense again.

Beane does have a habbit of bringing in a bunch of reduntant players and overpaying for mid talent. Instead of bringing in 4 or 5 JAGS he could get that one elite guy.
