Von is a perfect example of a player Beane should have traded for but refused to give us the required capital to make it happen. Instead he was traded to LA and won a Super Bowl. I firmly believe we win the Super Bowl in 2021 if Beane made the Von trade. We needed just ONE stop against Mahomes that year and Von was still elite at that time. But Beane didn’t want to give up the 2nd round pick so instead we watched the Super Bowl from home.

Put another way: Would you trade Dalton Kincaid and Kaiir Elam for Myles Garrett? Those are our last 2 first round picks. If you wouldn't, then you're saying you have faith that Beane will suddenly make better first round choices.

Myopic view in my opinion. Offense scored 29 points this year, and would have had 27 point last year if Bass didn't shank the kick. Scoring 29 points wins you most playoff games. Giving up 27+ points loses you most playoff games. Having the ball last doesn't change that.

Smoke and mirrors, and I mean it. Those defenses were very good in the regular season and AWFUL in the playoffs. Again, smoke and mirrors. In those 9 other playoff games that were not against KC, we played Blake Bortles, Skyler Thompson, Mac Jones, Mason Rudolph, Rookie Bo Nix, Playoff Lamar, etc. The only great QB we played in those 9 other games was Joe Burrow and we gave up 27 points. We have had one of the easiest stretches of wildcard play in history.

Carter was a healthy scratch down the stretch. He came off the injury report on December 8th and then was made inactive 4 of the last 6 games. And in a 5th game he never made it onto the field.

2021: Taking Boogie Basham over Creed Humphrey was an all time screw up. 2022: Took Elam. Allowed KC to jump in front of us and take All-Pro McDuffie. Pro Bowl Tackle Tyler Smith went one pick after Elam. Pro Bowl (and one of the best int the NFL) Center Tyler Lindenbaum went 2 picks after Elam. 2023: Took Kincaid. Defensive rookie of the year finalist Joey Porter Jr went after. Offensive rookie of the year finalist LaPorta went after him too. To be fair, Porter had an up-and-down second year too.

Beane and McD had fairly critical tones of Coleman in the postseason press conference. I don’t think they’re too happy with him.

That’s genuinely shocking to me. I like Beane as a human being but having a GM who has never actually scouted players has to be a handicap. No wonder we whiff on so many early picks, and give our arch-nemesis the players they want.

Yeah that’s what I said. No they weren’t. We barely played press at all. Eagles ran a mix of zone and man. With a ton of press and bail technique (which counts as zone in statistics but is actually a mix of zone and man). Id like to believe that, but Benford played the first drive where the Chiefs walked down the field with ease.
