  1. Saying he's a "great" coach at this moment is a massive stretch. Lots of AMAZING coordinators that turn out to be average to bad head coaches. He was average to bad at Washington... he was average at best while coaching USC where he got fired and he ended up having a drinking problem... and now at Texas, he is barely above .500. So I need to SEE him win as a head coach. Don't care what he did as an assistant at Bama. I know you're a massive Alabama homer, but being a good assistant doesn't always translate to a good head coach. You know this.
  2. They return 13 starters return. They bring back a lot of All-SEC kids, but they lost Stetson Bennett. 93% of their offensive passing yards. Also lost the leading rusher and both tackles. Defensively, they lost arguably the best player in college football (Carter), nearly the entire defensive backfield and linebackers. That's why I don't have them #1. Until Texas proves it, I won't believe it. Again... my Pokes beat them every year and we have 1/5 the talent ad less than that in overall budget.
  3. If I haven't watched Texas lost nearly every season to my Pokes the past dozen or so years with the largest athletic budget in the country... I wouldn't joke about it. They are ranked top 25 EVERY SEASON and most of the time end up not ranked. 4 times they went from being pre-season ranked to having a below .500 season. 2011: 24th week 1 - NR at the end of the year 2012: 15th week 1 - NR at the end of the year 2013: 15th week 1 - NR at the end of the year 2014: 25th week 1 - NR at the end of the year 2015: NR week 1 - NR at the end of the year 2016: 11th week 2 - NR at the end of the year 2017: 23rd week 1 - NR at the end of the year 2018: 23rd week 1 - 9th at the end of the year 2019: 10th week 1 - NR at the end of the year 2020: 14th week 1 - 19th at the end of the year 2021: 21st week 1 - NR at the end of the year 2022: 21st week 2 - 25th at the end of the year
  4. Not sure why you're even asking that. He plead no-contest to a felony. That's how you automatically lose your gun rights.
  5. That's the idea, but it's been abused. You can call in on a neighbor you don't like and say they have firearms and have threatened you... or an ex. Just to be spiteful (and it's happened).
  6. Definitely. If they are looking to harm themselves or others, or have a recent history of attempts. Most states have this rule in place. Some states have policies where if you were inpatient, you can't buy/own a firearm until you can prove you're competent to do so. I'm not pro-removing of rights if you're someone (example) who attempted a long time ago and did not complete suicide but have taken the steps to get better, have a safety plan, etc. A lot of fellow veterans have major PTSD, but that doesn't mean they should lose their 2A rights. Certain psychotic disorders or personality disorders. Schizophrenia for example. You're 100% right on everything you said. Especially when you said it's "highly subjective" and there ARE misdiagnosis that takes place in the field ALL THE TIME. Imagine you live in San Fran and are completely anti-2A. You feel the country should rework the Bill or Rights and get rid of the rights to own a firearm. You're also a shrink (blanket term for any therapist) and you are so bias, you help aide LEO in removing as many guns from people as possible via misdiagnosing people. That could be so abused.
  7. Why did we vote for him? Killary and Biden. That's why.
  8. This is the part I take issue with. Again, what is the standard of "mentally ill" that warrants losing your firearm rights? Right now, in nearly every state... it's being a danger to yourself or others. But what if a person is going through a loss of a loved one or divorce and are taking medication and seeking counseling for that? Do they lose their 2A rights? Should I have to report their private information to LEO? No. As for red flag laws... this violates so many constitutional rights. You should never lose a right without due process.
  9. Why not do some college football rankings that will be way off by next Feb.... ? 1. LSU 2. Michigan 3. tOSU 4. UGA 5. Alabama 6. Florida State 7. Clemson 8. USC 9. Utah 10. Washington 11. Tennessee 12. Oklahoma 13. Penn State 14. Oregon 15. TCU 16. Notre Dame 17. Oklahoma State 18. Baylor 19. Oregon State 20. UNC 21. Wisconsin 22. Tulane 23. Kansas State 24. UTSA 25. Texas (because it's required by law to include Texas in the Top 25 in every pre-season poll ever created)
  10. “How the world turns. One day #### of the walk, next a feather duster.”
  11. Funding (I'm in the field) has been drastically cut over the past 10 years and the facilities are almost all but gone. Very few left.
  12. I don't disagree... he should have stayed at home. His mother should have not allowed him to show up at a volatile protest/riot. I'm probably the most pro-2A person on this entire forum... but not letting my kid be put in that situation. No matter how much training they have.
  13. Again, doesn't that also apply to those who attacked Rittenhouse? EVERYONE there were breaking curfew. Rittenhouse lives 33 minutes away from Kenosha (20 miles)... it's basically a suburb. He worked at a nursing home and had friends there. Gaige Grosskreutz lived twice as far away (45 minutes). Anthony Huber lived in Silver Lake, 33 minutes (20 miles away). Joseph Rosenbaum, the child molester, was the only one who lived in Kenosha. He was also the most aggressive one out of the entire group.
  14. Kinda like George Floyd? Aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Held a gun to a pregnant woman's belly and robbed her. Kinda like Jacob Blake? Wanted by LEO for an outstanding warrant, sexual assault. Admitted he had a knife. Was violating a protective order at the time when police showed up. Kinda like Jordan Neely? 42 arrests including four times for assault. Because criminals won't do it. I've talked about this ad nauseam. The whole idea is to keep firearms out of criminals hands, right? Well, good luck with that! I live in rural Oklahoma. My closest FFL is 40 minutes away (so around 1 1/2 hours round trip). I bought my dad a Henry lever action .357 for fathers day a couple of years ago... why TF should I have to have us BOTH travel to the gun shop, spend $40 each, to do ANOTHER background check? Take up 2+ hours of our time? I work full time... I have patients. My dad works full time, he has patients. Do a background check, again, while criminals won't do any? It's pointless my man.
  15. What is the job of a judge? And let me ask you this... did you totally miss this during the cross-examination? Rittenhouse defense attorney Corey Chirafisi asked: “It wasn’t until you pointed your gun at him, advanced on him … that he fired, right?” “Correct,” Grosskreutz replied. CASE. CLOSED. AT. THAT. POINT.
  16. "If the jury doesn't rule in the way I'd like, he/she corrupt!" BWHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. So funny that he was found not guilty on grounds of self defense. The 3 criminals he shot, who were all attacking him, were white. Weird.
  18. I've had my fair share of trigger pulling back in the day. I'd rather not shoot at anyone else... but I would if I had to. Sorry that people have to defend their life and their family with firearms. I know you'd dream of a day where no one but bad guys have guns. Few gun owners would disagree with safe firearm storage. "Universal" background checks are completely pointless.
  19. But this never happens.... https://www.fox13memphis.com/news/home-invader-shot-and-killed-in-arkansas-police-say/article_401311d0-f40f-11ed-be26-634cb30b74b4.html
  20. I never knew that was even possible until I was watching my Cowboys (Oklahoma State) play Texas Tech this year. Tech scored on their opening drive (up 7-0) and kicked an onside kick on the kickoff. OSU player waved his arm and while Tech recovered, it was a penalty on the Red Raiders because of the fair catch rule. Brilliant play by the kid. Got the ball to start the drive inside the Tech 35 yard line.

  22. People died during the riots 3 years ago. Not the ones who attacked Rittenhouse either.
