  1. Yep. I wanted my Pokes to face an 11-0 OU team in Stillwater, then play them the next week against an 11-1 OU team. That was our best shot at the CFP. Now Oklahoma State, despite maybe being a top 4 team, will probably be out... al la 2011
  2. I'm so pissed my Cowboys lost to Iowa State a few weeks ago or we'd be in the top 5 right now. Then OU lost, which I hate OU, but a win over 11-0 OU vs a 9-2 or 10-1 OU looks SO much better to the CFP. This week: 1. UGA 2. Alabama 3. Oregon 4. Ohio State 5. Michigan 6. Cincy 7. Mich State 8. ND 9. Oklahoma State 10. Baylor How it SHOULD be ranked: 1. UGA 2. Alabama 3. Cincy 4. Ohio State 5. Oklahoma State Oregon has beat ONE ranked team and lost to a BAD Stanford team. I don't think any PAC12 team is good enough right now. Ohio State has beat two ranked teams the past few weeks and we will know where they really stand the next few weeks to come. The B1G will play itself out. Still think Cincy couldn't hang in any power 5, but they did beat ND and haven't lost. Oklahoma State, we've been the hottest team with 1 loss... beat 3 ranked teams and lost to Iowa State, who was ranked. From ESPN: Let's do a little blind résumé comparison: Team A is 9-1 with a 5-1 mark against FPI top-50 opponents (with a 12.2 points-per-game margin) and three wins vs. teams ranked at game time. Its lone loss came on the road by three points to a preseason AP top-10 team. Its ESPN Strength of Record is No. 6 nationally. Team B is 9-1 with a 4-1 mark against FPI top-50 opponents (with a 10.6 points-per-game margin) and one win vs. a team ranked at game time. Its lone loss came at home by seven points to a preseason AP top-10 team. Its ESPN Strength of Record is No. 9 nationally. So, which team would you have ranked higher?
  3. Tulsa almost pushing Cincy into OT this late into the season... no way the Bearcats could hang with most top 10 teams (outside ND).
  4. Thank you! I'll look up both places. Can't wait... first trip to Buffalo.
  5. My week 2 predictions: 1. UGA 2. Alabama 3. Oregon 4. tOSU 5. Mich. State 6. Michigan 7. Cincy 8. OU 9. ND 10. OSU * GO POKES * (OSU Pokes that is)
  6. Niagara Falls. We are going to Toronto that Saturday morning and could even watch the game there.
  7. NEED SUGGESTIONS Since I can't start a new thread on the College Forum... (no clue how long the probation period lasts, I asked admin w/o an answer). I'm going to be at the Colts game on the 21st. Oklahoma State is playing at 8 p.m. vs Tech that Saturday on FOX. Anyone suggest a good place to watch the game? Thanks!
  8. I feel MUCH better about it since OU has proven to be very human this season. I think Caleb Williams will be a stud QB but he's a freshman and after the UT game, has looked like one. They've survived a lot of close calls, especially in games they should have blown a team out (like trailing Kansas 0-10 at the half and 14-17 in the 4th Q). OSU hasn't been any more impressive on offense, with a lot of close games as well but the Cowboys defense is BY FAR better. I've been an OSU fan since I was born (1976) and have seen way too many games where OSU is better than OU and we've blown it... so I'll predict now, we will lose. There is a mental block for my Cowboys when it comes to the Sooners. We can dominate every Big XII team like Texas or WVU but we can't beat OU for some reason. Until we can prove we can, I can't pick OSU to win. There is a very high likelihood we will see Bedlam part II the following week in Dallas.
  9. For the first time since 1997, my Pokes (Oklahoma State) also has a dominating defense. We sacked WVU 8 times (just missed out on 9) last Saturday. But for the first time that I can recall, our offense stinks. OSU's defense is 2nd to only UGA's IMO. Of course, Georgia's defense is on a completely different level that I have ever seen before. Plus they have a damn good offense.
  10. Oklahoma State fan here... OU will be top 4, but they're more around the 8th best team IMO. They've barely won most their games, struggled against the likes of Kansas (who my Cowboys beat 55-3 on Saturday). 1. UGA (by far) 2. Michigan State 3. Cincy 4. Alabama 5. Oklahoma 6. Oregon 7. Michigan 8. Ohio State 9. N.D. 10. Oklahoma State
  11. I live in Tishomingo (Oklahoma) where Blake Shelton lives. Small town of about 3,200 and 99% of us who see him around town... at the local DQ or Dollar General, we don't bother him. But I get those who travel hours to come to Tish and would run into him (or Gwen) and wanting to take a photo. Sorta comes with the celeb status.
  12. Not going through 33 pages of posts.... but the only team I worry about post-season is Tennessee. Remember our game pre-bye week last season? We didn't lose a game after regrouping. We will be fine.
  13. My Pokes beat Texas (Texas is BACK! lol) for the 6th time in 7 games in Austin. We can dominate every Big XII team, not named OU. Oklahoma State is the most paper thin 6-0 team/top 10 team in the nation. Our defense is legit, our offense is held together with duck tape and aluminum foil. Have a chance to go into Bedlam 11-0. Which we would come out 11-1 because I have zero confidence in Mike Gundy beating OU. Last time we beat OU, we were 5-6 and had a dude named Tyreek Hill in the backfield.
  14. Yep My ONLY issue with that 4th and inches play last night was we ran the SAME PLAY on the goal line earlier in the game. It was 100% identical, Allen under center going left. He got blown up the first time when 3 Titan defenders crushed him. That's where he likes to go... so if I knew where he was going, they definitely had to know. Would have rather him handed it off to Moss on that last play. Yep. He makes it... spikes it with one or two more throws into the EZ (or even a run then a timeout) before the FG attempt.
  15. Okie here.... both my girls are on the Chickasaw Nation roles. Well over half the people in this state have Native American blood. I have yet to meet someone who finds any "Indian" mascot offensive. In fact, nearly all HS teams here have some mascot with Indian ties in just my small area in Texoma: Tishomingo Indians (where I live, home of Blake Shelton) Kingston Redskins Plainview Indians (where my girls attended, home of Justin Blackmon) Marietta Indians Wynnewood Savages Fairview Apaches Shawnee Braves etc etc etc etc etc
  16. Urban Myer logging into twitter and seeing Jon Gruden trending...
  17. Not me: Googling for topless Washington Football Team cheerleaders
  18. Definitely on my list of things to do that weekend! I've been to a couple of Texas (Dallas and Houston in 19) but this will be my first 'real' one
  19. All this said.... What's the Buffalo airport like? Flying from DFW there for the Colts game. Never have been to Buffalo (and a fan since 1988!).
  20. * FIFY
  21. I've just never been a fan on drafting a kicker. Then all I saw was the video of the one-step 60-yard FG kick like that translated into an actual game, lol. I was wrong. He's been amazing for us.
  22. I openly admit I was so confused and pissed when we drafted Bass. I was so wrong.
  23. He's GOOD. I was at the game on Saturday and he lit it up. I'm an Oklahoma State fan/ticket holder and we were on a bye... so I went to see Ole Miss/Arkansas (my youngest daughter goes to school there). Fun game!
  24. They had it on WGRZ this morning... (via YouTube). They showed some of the crowd but the onsite reporter said "About 50 fans".
  25. I've been a huge fan of Dawson since he blew me away when he ran over half Cincy's defense a couple of years ago. I got RIPPED on the Bills FB pages for saying he can be a beast if we give him time. He's at least a beast on my Madden' team.
