What a way to back up your stance! "He's a bum" "Why?" "I'm not going to waste any more time debating it." Just brilliant. LOL
-
Why exactly? His QBR was GREAT before he got hurt. That year, Roethlisberger was out for the season, he had ZERO offensive weapons. They couldn't block which caused the offense to really suck. Even with all that, he was decent. To the point of being hurt, he was hitting about 70% of his passes with 7 TDs to 2 INTs. He hit almost 86% the week before he was hurt against Cincy. The ONE game he started the next year (2021) against the Browns when they sat Ben, he slung it around the field for over 300 yards. They allowed him to throw it deep and it showed. NOTE: I watched every game Mason played in that year on RZ.

I like Mason Rudolph, quite a bit. I'm an Oklahoma State alum/diehard fan and got to watch Mason rack up 13,000+ yards and almost 100 TDs at his time in Stillwater. He *WAS* the next QB after Ben... but he got knocked out like Tua did, against the Ravens in his 2nd year. He was never the same after. The fans at Pittsburgh are THE WORST in the league and never gave him a chance. Feel like he's been handcuffed by the OC since day one because the dude can sling it. Instead, they have him dump the ball off most of the time. But if you watch the play Mason got knocked out against the Ravens, you could see he can ball up to that point. That year, when he came back a couple weeks later, he just wasn't the same. All that said, he'd be a solid backup for Josh I think. Give him an offense with the weapons we have at WR, he's do pretty well in case we needed him.

I'm really happy for him and McAlister... pulling for you guys. He seriously changed the Oklahoma State's personality with his defense. Derrick Mason is still running that defense in Stillwater that Knowles left behind (minus all the All Big-XII kids who went to the NFL, like Malcom Rodriquez).

Imagine tOSU and Oklahoma State play in the CFP... Jim Knowles vs his old school.

Crowder in a boot...time to call sanders?
ArdmoreRyno replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Barry has put on some pounds the past few years... saw him not too long ago here in Ardmore (Okla) at his car dealership. But I'd love to see another Oklahoma State RB on the team (Bills have had Terry Miller and Thurman from OkState) -
Most of those plays there are two officials in the backfield. They just ignored the holds... all game long. I pulled my 71-year old dad into the living room to show him the replay (DVR since they didn't show it on the broadcast) of the CLEAR hold against Jackson early in the game where Lamar hit a WR on a 3rd and long play, to just confirm I wasn't seeing things. He said... "oh wow, how do they not call that? He was going full speed at him and was yanked back."

NFL WEEK #4 - Bills at Ravens - Post Game Thread
ArdmoreRyno replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I apologize for the horrible screenshot, may have been brought up and it's moot now... but would this not be offensive PI? The ridiculous play on that 3rd and long that Lamar got out of, Andrews tipped the ball to Bateman.... Andrews was all over the back of Milano way before the ball ever got there. Seems like offensive PI. (tried to highlight the ball with yellow) I had to go back and take a pic of this with my phone during the commercial break. I was in SHOCK there were TWO officials right there watching and neither threw a flag. The Ravens held EVERY DAMN PLAY -
My father, who's been a dentist for over 40 years, has two "dentista's" working for him. They've been in the United States for over 20 years, legally immigrated and are now US Citizens. They *HATE* illegal immigration and think it's totally unfair. We have a very high Hispanic population in Southern Oklahoma due to the jobs and overwhelmingly, from friends I have who are here legally, they feel the same way.

All that said... prayers for Tua. Dude seems like a class act and hate to see anything bad happen to the kid. I personally struggle to blame the coaches, it's on the doctors and medical professionals. As a former football coach, you listen to those who hold degrees to make those decisions. If a doctor/medical staff says "He's clear" and the kid is wanting to go back in, he 99/100 he goes back in.

NFL TV Schedule and Maps: Week 4, 2022
ArdmoreRyno replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, most of Oklahoma . I live just east of that green line, on the Texas/Oklahoma boarder (Tishomingo). Not many Okies in that green area outside Lawton/Ft. Sill (US Army base) and Altus (AFB). -

SWEET! I don't have to watch my Roku buffer the final 20 seconds of the game! This makes 3 of 4 games so far shown in Oklahoma so far! Should have 5 of the first 8 aired here in the Sooner State going into week 10. -
I think offensively we will be fine, especially coming off a bye week (way too early for one IMO) so I feel OSU will put up some points on Baylor. OSU has won 2 of the last 3 meetings... and SHOULD have won all three. My concern is we are 1-4 the last 5 in Waco. 32-32 is the average score in those 5 games. Cowboys have won 19 of the last 27 games v Baylor.... 7-6 the L13 in Waco. Oklahoma State's defense is far better than their numbers show and the overall perception from the outside. It was 51-15 in the 3Q v C. Michigan when Gundy pulled the entire starting lineup on both sides. The final score didn't indicate how the game went (final was 58-44). Central Michigan isn't a bad team either. It was 21-14 at the half and CMU held Penn State to just 12 points in the 2nd half. My biggest concern is Spencer Sanders vs Baylor. Seems to be the one team he struggles against. Career numbers: 81-of-131 for 942 yards, 5 touchdowns and 10 INTs (he threw 1 TD v 7 INTs last year) vs Baylor. You take away the game v the Bears, he's fire. Baylor is one of the worst teams in the NCAA passing the ball, they are a rushing offense right now. OSU has a stout run defense. They held the nations leading rusher from 2021 to just 2.8 yards per carry in game one. The Bears have also not faced a passing attack like the Cowboys, not even close. That's the strength of OSU's team. We aren't the best running team this year, sorta like our Bills... like Allen, Sanders is the offensive weapon on the ground (as well as his arm). We saw in the Fiesta Bowl how good he is running the ball (and vs OU). In those two games alone, he rushed for 241 yards (also threw for 723 yards). He's better this year so I hope his past history against Baylor won't matter. Game is toss up because it's in Waco IMO.

Only happens in the United States. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/09/26/izhevsk-udmurt-russia-school-shooting/ -
I think you simply have to live in the area. I'm live in Oklahoma and it's over 100 nearly every day of the summer, heat index at one point was 120 a month ago. Sucks, but we get used to it. Went to an Oklahoma State v Kansas game one year in Lawrence... temp on the field was nearly 130. The players get used to it. (I also went to Basic and AIT during the summer in Missouri (Fort Leonard Wood) when I was 21 and it doesn't get much hotter than that. Humid, etc.) Our bodies adjust and over time, it's more difficult to deal with high heat like you might have experienced.
