  1. If it does, it does. There are many ways to win when you have a QB like Mahones. Same could be said of the Bills if you remove Diggs from the equation. In Josh (and Beane) we trust.
  2. They still have Mahones. Like Brady in NE, that can make adequate / good WRs perform well above the norm. With lots of cap room and draft capital, KC will still be good. How good in the new AFC West, well, we'll just have to see. But I have no doubt they'll be better than the Fins with Tua at QB.
  3. I don't think it's a knee jerk reaction (and I'm sure McBeane doesn't as well). Teams have to be build for the long haul, not just this season. The glaring hole at CB is a big weakness, Tyreek Hill or no Tyreek Hill. The draft is deep in WRs that can help beyond the first round (i.e., Gabe Davis in the 4th round). The Bills averaged 36 ppg against the Fins over the past two years. No way the Fins average 37+ against the Bills, even with Hill.
  4. If your're a defensive coordinator, who would you be more concerned about, Josh or Tua? It starts and largely ends there. I don't care if the Fins have Jerry Rice and Randy Moss in their primes--they still got Tua.
  5. As a byproduct of the trade, the Chiefs now have the 3rd most cap space in the league. Gotta believe they can re-load on the fly, with the draft capital and contract space available now (and 11th most in 2023): https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/
  6. I guess I watched another QB than you did. Tua's a game manager, who's just adequate enough to keep you from tossing in the towel and looking for an upgrade. Giving him weapons is nice, but won't be a difference maker since he such a poor shot.
  7. NFL defenses can account for Hill if all he does is five yard crossing routes. Tyreek's superpower in KC was making himself available to Mahones on off-script and broken plays. Tua has nowhere near the arm strength to throw off-platform, nor does he have the scrambling ability to extend plays. He'll make his five-yard checkdowns to the same spots on the field, over and over. And defenses will be able to contain that, unlike the Mahones/Hill combination, where coverage would breakdown because the play was being extended and it was sandlot football.
  8. Hill's value is separation and RAC. Tua's value is five-yard checkdowns and the medical tent. Not a good fit. I would have been a lot more worried if the Fins had traded for Watson, who could activate their existing WR corps Tua scares no one.
  9. Its a QB-driven league. The Fins still don't have one. Have a nice career, Tyreek. You'll have a lot more off-season time to spend your money.
  10. Silly that a guy like Hanzus emphasizes the size of Miller's contract, even though it's essentially comparable to the one Chandler Jones got ($3 years, $52MM guaranteed). Miller > Jones, roughly the same age and a sure HOF-er. Whereas Jones will have to buy a ticket, just like the rest of us.
  11. Trent McDuffie would be the perfect "Bills process-character" CB and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that his draft stock somehow slips from the 20th or so slot he's now pegged to go at. He doesn't have the long arms the team covets at the position, but his smarts and intangibles are off the charts, IMO. He's a Poyer/Hyde-type CB that would fit in tremendously in this defense.
  12. Doubt he makes it out of camp. But another set of legs to take reps in the meantime.
  13. Yet more prevent (the win) defense, led by Edmunds dropping too deep and not recognizing fast enough. Thanks for another reminder....
  14. Signing guys like Shenault are how GM's become poor men.
  15. Regardless of whether he sees the field or not, he's going to be a great addition to the team: https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2022/03/browns-trade-case-keenum-to-the-bills-for-a-7th-round-pick.html "Keenum was one of the most positive leaders on the team, and helped hold the players together through adversity. He was grateful to start the finale against the Bengals, even if it was a meaningless game. “Like I said before, this is the National Football League,’’ Keenum said. “You have guys in this locker room, myself included and I can speak for myself, who we have been dreaming about playing in the NFL since we were kids, all of us. It is a dream come true to be able to go out there and represent not only the name on the back of our jerseys – our family’s – but the name on the front. There is a lot of pride. There is a lot of pride in Cleveland."
  16. SMH. There are a great many jobs still available. Rosters will be shuffled right through training camp.
  17. He may actually have to take that Browns stadium groundskeeping / maintenance job from his Progressive commercials.
  18. No worries. It's TSW superpower to find someone to tar and feather. That won't be ANY problem going forward.
  19. I left out that segment of Bills fans. 😛 They have too many other smart TSW-ers to explain it to them.
  20. Amazing how so many 'fans' don't understand NFL contract structure ("Six years! For a 33-year old!") Same with the Pat's board. I mean, do they just get drunk, watch the games and then stick their head in the sand for the next six days?
