  1. One of my biggest disappointments this year is a lack of Ty Johnson. He made some of the most fun plays last season! He was a delight to watch. This year, crickets.
  2. I guess you didn’t watch the game? Trevor Lawrence threw a pick at like the 10 yard line where his WR got knocked clean off his feet when he went to make his cut. Also there were other weird ref things in this game. - Lawrence fumbled at the one inch line, (Not a bad call per se but lucky for the Chiefs bc the refs wouldn’t have overturned whatever the call was because it was so close). - KC scored a TD on third down but had a flag for OPI (probably was a legit penalty, contact was 2-3 yards from the LOS). Mahomes yelled at the ref and then they picked up the flag. Terrible optics. It isn’t just about raw flag count/yards. It’s about impact, and KC always seems to be on the right side of things.
  3. Even in the 13-4 flagfest, they still had the most impactful ref-related decision that led directly to 7 points with the worst missed DPI since the Saints-Rams NFCCG. If people don’t see that the Chiefs get favorable reffing for like 5 seasons now, idk what to tell them. Terry, the “rules analyst” on the broadcast said it was a catch right away.
  4. There’s just no way. He never had control, and has it pinned against his left hand and right wrist. Then his hand completely leaves the ball and is trapped by the ground. If they review it with that angle, it’s incomplete for sure.
  5. Only game so far this year with zero penalties on a team. Seems to happen once or twice per season.
  6. For anybody wondering about that Kelce catch earlier. Here you can very clearly see his right hand completely come off the ball when it hits the ground. Would have been an easy no catch call on review.
  7. 10 just had a false start there before he went into his motion
  8. Butker is one of the worst kickers in the league this year (much to my delight).
  9. Lions will basically need a turnover here. But I think the Chiefs will run and play extremely conservative.
  10. Still a lot of time for a great offense like the Lions. That would require their defense to actually get a stop though...
  11. The Lions are playing nobodies in their secondary right now. It would be like if we had Ingram and Cam Lewis starting at boundary corner.
  12. Lions need to buckle down here. Gotta hold them to a FG.
  13. That was definitely defensive pass interference right? LBer with his back turned crashing into the receiver in the back of the endzone?
  14. Lions obviously figured something out. They've run the same flavor of play this entire drive.
  15. Mahomes doesn't want to be taking too many hits like that
  16. He actually had a CB on him playing man. The old man just burned him (pretty embarrassing for that CB).
  17. Ha, Terry for sure knew that was a drop.
  18. Not to beat a dead horse, but KC has zero penalties called on them so far this game. What a remarkably clean team!
  19. There is supposed to be an automatic review for obvious close ones. That guy must have still been in line for nachos.
  20. Those little tugs and hand fighting happen basically every route. How they decide when to call it, who knows? It's like offensive holding on a lineman. They pick and choose when to call it based on vibes or something, I'm not sure. Hutchinson has been held this whole game, it hasn't been called once.
  21. It happens literally every week. Even now, when they aren’t a very good team, it is still happening.
  22. If you can’t see how the refs can alter the game in high leverage moments idk what to tell you. I’m not saying it’s a conspiracy or anything. Just that KC benefitted from 2 calls that probably don’t happen in many games that were called today that led to an 8 point swing. Edit: Do you really think New York is calling down to change the penalty on that Goff trick play on some random regional 1pm Fox game?
