  1. Good idea, drive great players towards the NBA and MLB.
  2. You have no issue with an inferior QB getting a record breaking contract, necessarily bumping up the cost for our own QB? Because the market dictates that he's worth it?
  3. Yeah but the highest spending teams aside from the Dodgers aren't really winning much. Red Sox, Angels, Cubs, Phillies, etc. The Rays are competitive every year, as are the Athletics. What happens is that these high spenders eventually get bogged down by the end years of huge contracts. The Angels have made the playoffs one time, for example, while Mike Trout was part of the team, arguably the best player of all time. The Angels consistently have a top 5, usually top 3 payroll. Lots of smaller teams are competing.
  4. If you want an argument that the salary cap helps create parity, baseball isn't a good place to look. Different teams are winning every year. The difference is that teams can actually pay their players to stay rather than have constant turnover due to cap restraints. It's a good thing that the Padres locked up FTJ without having to worry about it. The cap also didn't seem to stop the Patriots from making every other Superbowl for like 10 years either. Does anyone enjoy fussing over numbers so that we can fit in the contract for a linebacker?
  5. I really wish the NFL would get rid of the salary cap
  6. Jerry Jones can kiss my ass. What is this, a floor of 45 million per for Josh?
  7. I really don't think this was true at the end of the year. Josh was going to Knox quite a bit and he made some crazy catches. Knox is frustrating when he drops those fairly easy passes, but I don't know why we'd think he will continue that way when he's shown he can make tough catches regularly. Knox had an obvious progression last season, and if he didn't go to Knox as much, it probably has more to do with having two of the top 5? route runners at WR who can gain seperation whenever they want.
  8. And it's corny, passive aggressive drama, too. Not even the fun kind. I honestly have a hard time believing a player with a personality this boring and generic exists.
  9. Imo, I think the problem with Singletary and Moss is that they are basically the same player. The Cover 1 guys talk a lot about a guy like James White who I think would be a good contrast to Singletary or Moss, who both mostly run draws or slants. White is the type of guy who can receive passes or make runs to the outside which aren't the forte of either of our two backs.
  10. I can agree with that. I love Matt Milano but if we can't keep him, I hope we can sign Williams and then grab a guy like Kirksey to replace Milano, where he and Klein have a kind of timeshare depending on passing and running downs, and then focus on the OL and DL which are both in need of something.
  11. Yeah, if he's playing in front of, idk, Drew Brees or something, that number is more than 0. Josh is probably better than any other QB in the game outside maybe Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes when the pocket collapses.
  12. I feel like I'm missing a lot of something, because, while I love Mongo's personality and the fact that he's a decent guard, there is no way I'd want to cut, despite what people here want to believe, a very good C on a reasonable contract. I would keep Morse over Feliciano and it isn't close.
  13. Diggs wants to win. He was the only guy who stayed on the field to watch the Chiefs celebrate. I am pretty sure he is flexible when it comes to making the team better so long as he doesn't have to take a pay cut.
  14. For all his foibles, I'll always appreciate that Mel Kiper was a Josh Allen Guy before almost anyone else.
  15. Wrong. Mafia 1a: a secret criminal society of Sicily or Italy b: a similarly conceived criminal organization in the U.S.also : a similar organization elsewherethe Japanese Mafia c: a criminal organization associated with a particular trafficthe cocaine Mafia 2: often not capitalized : a group of people likened to the Mafia Especially : a group of people of similar interests or backgrounds prominent in a particular field or enterprise : CLIQUE Bills Mafia actually makes complete sense. Well, Eli would just sack himself before the other team got a chance, so that helped, I think.
  16. This is kind of random I guess, but slightly related to the topic at hand, does anyone else get annoyed by #ChiefsKingdom? What does that even mean? Chiefs are named after Native American tribe leaders. They didn't have a kingdom. Kingdom makes no sense in the context of their team name. It also sounds clunky and stupid and I cringe every time I read it.
  17. Hyde and Poyer are one of the best safety tandems in the league. People thought Hyde was getting cut? That's wild. Didn't even enter my radar.
  18. He's a fantastic guard, which also means he will be way too expensive.
  19. Not nearly as much as it would cost to replace him, both from a tangible and intangible perspective.
  20. Unless I'm missing someone, I believe Jenkins is generally the highest ranked of all the players on this list. Stretch to get him at 30, impossible to get him in round 2. I'd just assume that since he's a fit in a potential area of need, and likely ready to play full time snaps immediately, that it would enable them to let Williams go and potentially get Milano back who is probably harder to replace. Agreed.
  21. I just can't get behind any of this. Morse is very, very good at pass pro. He's an incredibly reliable snapper. How is that anything other than exactly what we need? This is a passing offense. Morse is far away the best option for C on this team and it isn't close. The only question mark with him should be the concussions. He is not an issue on the O-Line. If Morse is on the team (and he should be) he won't be competing with anyone. He's the C. There is no other option.
  22. So can we conclude that Teven Jenkins is their #1 target?
  23. It is very frustrating how badly Bills fans underrate Mitch Morse. Feliciano is not a viable C, and the savings from cutting Morse aren't great either.
