When the coaches tell the players not to cover Kelce does it matter who is assigned to cover Kelce?

Edmunds reminds me so much of Sammy Watkins. Great athlete but not a football player. Beane has gotten credit for being willing to move on from his mistakes....... Cody Ford was a day 1 starter at guard this year, Addison started all year, and Edmunds started all year. I don't see it.

Either replace Edmunds with a legit middle linebacker or switch to a 3-4 so there's somebody there to cover for him. It has to be one or the other you can't just keep putting a guy out there that's so inept at every facet of the game and expect different results

How does he have any respect from his players after this? The offensive guys will be pissed that such an incredible effort was wasted. The defensive guys will be pissed that he coached so gutless and scared that they were in prevent with 13 seconds left guarding the endzone. I think he dug his own grave last night. The most gutless way to lose a game over ever seen. Jauron was run out of town because his defense didn't cover the sidelines at the end of a regular season Monday night game. Edmunds is worse than useless. He gets in the way. Ultimately it's McD's fault for continuing to play him though. Over and over this season teams kept exploiting him and McD refused to bench him or change the defense to shield him more from being exploited.
