  1. If I have the chance to acquire a player (trade deadline or next years draft) I take a tight end over a WR every day. Pairing up a big tight end with Clay backed up by O'Leary would be a great mix and aids both our running game and passing game. In agreement - look at Belicheck who often times has spent the top pick on a tight end but rarely/never does so for a WR.
  2. All teams just received extra $2million in cap room due to owners keeping money from players. Key news for us who is so up against the cap
  3. Does anyone here even care that we just got $2 million added to our cap?
  4. Play a season without a high ankle sprain is what will make him play better - injuries do happen and can diminish performance Also all NFL players make their biggest jump in improvement from year 1 to year 2
  5. This is very nice news for Bills fans - our cap challenged team just received a $2million raise in the 2016 cap
  6. How does anyone offer what they consider an in depth scouting report of a player but nowhere indicate the ankle injuries the player had and likely returned too early from? Reading much of the criticism about moving feet and pushing through blocks - not possibly related to ankle/foot injuries?? Miller is fine and playing 3 more years on a rookie contract of a 3rd rd draft pick....that's gold in todays NFL...look to OT for help
  7. Miller had injury issues and Miller plays for only 700k /year. In the salary cap era you don't throw that away - you need that play at that salary. Also many players make a big jump in their 2nd year. Right tackle is different - those guys have had two full years to show their abilities/inabilities John Miller aggravated his high ankle sprain the last two games he played in before the finale against the Jets. He did start but once again couldn't make it through and left the game with the injury
  8. Only item we know for sure is the 7 million/year guaranteed Hope so see how likely the incentives are to get to the 63 figure (12.5/year)
  9. The #Eagles and OT Lane Johnson have agreed on a 5-year extension that could pay him up to $63M with $35.5M in guarantees, sources say.
  10. Tyler Dunne is a very welcome addition to the Buffalo media - actually going out and getting opinions from people considered to be somewhat experts in the field - compare to most other media here who don't bother gathering info from experts...they watch some training camp and simply think they themselves become scouting experts and report on it,. Paul Hamilton, Joe Buscgalia and others please take note....
  11. To your point - DL Fletcher Cox who gave us all types of problems was selected 12th overall 3 yrs ago
  12. Draft is supposed to be deep at LB this year
  13. Early look at possible draft targets for our front 7 assuming we are choosing near 10th - 16th area DE Deforest Buckner Oregon 6'7 290lbs *** 3-4 Def End DE Emmanuel Ogbah Okla St 6'4 275lbs DE Shaq Lawson Clemson 6'3 275lbs DE Jonothan Bullard Florida 6'3 283lbs *** 3-4 Def End DE Schiliq Calhoun Mich St 6'5 255lbs *** plays DE/DT/LB DT Kenny Clark UCLA 6'3 310lbs DT Ashawn Robinson Alabama 6'3 312lbs DT Andrew Billings Baylor 6'1 300lbs ILB Reggie Ragland Alabama 6'2 252lbs OLB Myles Jack UCLA 6'1 222lbs OLB Leonard Floyd Georgia 6'3 232lbs *** 3-4 edge rusher
  14. A possible 2016 signing - made 2.3 million/year - true Nose Tackle Damon Harrison #94 NT. New York Jets | Official Team Site. Height: 6-4 Weight: 350 Age: 27. Born: 11/29/1988. College: William Penn. Experience: 4th season.► New York Jets: Damon Harrison
  15. Because he will be making 19 million and we need to resign players like Cordy Glenn and Incognito
  16. Agreed - and remember now all the local Buffalo press (who pretend to be football scouts rather than reporters asking informed sources )who thought Cassel was better or equal to him. Joe B, Paul Hamilton and others - you are reporters....go find sources (coaches and scouts) and report THEIR informed opinion.....your opinion means nothing
  17. The coach does NOT make the deal - he sure offers the GM input on players he has knowledge of - as do players on the team and assistant coaches etccc.. trades are done via the GM - this is Whaley's acquisition with a coach pushing it. I would not want to see the many other guys Rex would have acquired if allowed free reign that would not have worked out or worked within a cap system projected over the next few years - anyone really want Rex making deals while keeping track of cap impacts??? Rex is a people guy who shoots from the hip - he can help a GM - but in no way could be a GM
  18. Rex believes in 1 or 2 big Nose tackle types to stuff the run - say bye bye to a slashing 300lb DT like Kyle Williams and say hello to a 340lb type NT. Look for Rex then to make a LB our rd 1 pick to play behind that size. Think ';the package' with Pat Williams and big Ted....:
  19. I'm a fan of Whaley but yes the bust of a 2nd round pick Kuonjo is a killer. Look at other OT drafted later in the 2nd round and they all are starting at either OG or OT. It was a big miss. 12th - Kuonjo 27th - Jack Mewhort 32nd - Justin Britt RD3 2nd Morgan Moses 3rd Billy Turner
  20. With only 3.8 million dead money hit on 2016 cap if Whaley released Mario....Mario with his bad tummy and now 2 games with foot injury and 19 million....could find himself cut in the offseason providing whaley with the flexibility we may need. And worse than the injuries...its seeing Mario handled too often by 1 on 1 blocks when he is healthy and going at the QB. Kyle Williams with a 7 million cap hit could be a possible casualty as well due to his injury/age ... Rex's former Def End Muhammed Wilkerson will be a free agent this year with Jets - we may decide to make that pseudo swap of Wilkerson for the 2 high priced Williams boys
  21. What does your statement have to do with what the OP states? He makes a very valid point that Graham did make 2 game changing plays to the negative.
  22. So it was impossible for anyone else to take longer to get in? After 3 others have pointed to 30 minute waits So that 'worst experience' didnt happen? and wasnt shared by the many fans at those gates?
