Once again, ask Bengals fans about how “smart” they feel their coaching staff is. Some of Taylor’s game day decisions in the last couple yrs make McD look like a genius. Mahomes / Chiefs totally imploded and Bengals didn’t. If the Chiefs score at the end of the game inside the 10 like they do most of the time, everyone would be absolutely roasting Taylor for kicking a FG and “leaving Mahomes too much time” especially after last week. I swear a lot of people around here really don’t follow other teams in the league and think that only our coaches screw up.

This narrative i keep seeing is just silly. KC thought the game was over and got sloppy and unfocused. They crapped their pants. The Bengals didn’t suddenly change defensive philosophies at halftime. Halftime adjustments are one of the biggest myths in football. The guys barely to have time to take a piss, get some fluids, talk to their position coach / coordinator for 5 min then head back out. The notion that coaches re-scheme the gameplan at halftime is just wrong.

You must not watch many Bengals games. The local talk surrounding their resurgence is if the coaching staff will hold end up holding them back from reaching their full potential. Taylor has had many in game head scratchers including yesterday. Kicking the FG late in the game yesterday seemed insane to me and probably doesn’t work 9/10 times vs the chiefs. We would be KILLING McD if he did that. Bottom line, Bengals got lucky the Chiefs & Mahomes completely imploded. We should be pretty familiar with how that works…

It’s also changed the “where” for many people as well. I think a lot of soul searching went on that first year of the pandemic and when people realized that remote work wasn’t going away, it opened up the opportunity to live in places that people would have never even considered before. Especially places closer to “natural” wonders since living in a costal big city isn’t near as important anymore. We purchased a second property in August in a resort town in Montana. The real estate market has absolutely exploded there with wealthy people from CA and TX. I wish we had pulled the trigger about 1.5-2 yrs earlier, as we had already settled on that location after a couple years of researching and crunching numbers on other locales. it would have saved us a good amount of coin, but it’s still going to end up being a “good” investment long term when compared to other popular mountain towns. Heck, before we even closed we had one of the back up offers try to buy us out of the contract for 30k. Would have been easy money but we almost certainly would have missed our window to find the type of place we wanted at a price range we could afford. I look at the real estate out there regularly and comparable places to ours are already selling for 100-200k more depending on specifics. We hope to enjoy it for ourselves a few times a year, as well as make some consistent money back as a rental for many years to come. We were a little too leveraged in the market and wanted to capture some of the paper gains of the last few years by cashing in on some real estate in an appreciating market that will produce some passive income.

I finally got it. Started feeling feverish yesterday, had a fever of about 101. Felt crappy yesterday afternoon and evening, took some Tylenol. Woke up this morning feeling better, no fever. Got a few sniffles and a bit of a cough that’s it. Guessing I feel back close to 100% tomorrow. I’ve definitely had “longer” battles with non covid related sickness. Continuing these stupid measures that do absolutely nothing is madness. Vaccinate / boost the vulnerable and eliminate everything else. If you get sick, stay home till you feel better. Ya know, kind of the way we approach other infectious respiratory diseases.
