  1. I would go with Rosalita(Come Out Tonight) because it is a song about being a rock and roll star, and after all, isn't rock and roll all about wanting to be a rock and roll star....
  2. i always thought it was 'annie' too, but like you said, the lyrics say differently
  3. add in a visit to the dentist and you have the 'holy trinity'
  4. he's been quiet here for a couple weeks now....
  5. no way in hell was i going to watch the video, reading the story was sickening enough...sadly this is an everyday occurrence in many parts of philly and other metropolitan areas.
  6. for all those that are going alternative spelling of songs...here is one that no matter how you spell it...no one knows what the words are anyway
  7. did you mean Radar Love by Golden Earring?
  8. if the cheetahs had attacked and harmed the kid, i bet they'd be ex-cheetahs by now
  9. But to the perceived/intended purpose/meaning of the thread, hard to argue against The Who "Baba O'Riley" has all the aspects you'd expect from Rock & Roll, melody, screaming guitar, screaming vocals, heavy thumping drums, bass line that drives the song throughout....the perfect rock and roll song
  10. I'll take a different tack. Jackson Browne "The Load Out" Bob Sever "Turn The Page" Bon Jovi "Wanted Dead Or Alive"
  11. Howard Stern hasn't been relative in years....
  12. We in the Philadelphia area completely disagree with your suggestion.....
  13. 24, the royal blue one got me twice
  14. then i must be all sorts of cute!!!
  15. that was the second coolest thing of that day, the first for me was seeing The Clash play live!
  16. Let me know if Topps or Price Chopper offers to 'credit you' so you can pay next time...unfortunately things happen in this day and age of modern technology and 'convenience'. I had a situation a couple months ago where my card was being declined at the wegmans checkout line despite having used it 10 minutes ago at the coffee counter. I knew i had money in my account but it just kept getting declined...didn't see anyone else having a similar issue...went to customer service tried it there, still nothing...noticed the atm next to the counter, went to see if i could pull out the cash to pay...yup, no issues, got the cash, sucked up the ATM fee paid and went about my business. No biggie, i continue to shop primarily at wegmans....
  17. I hear you, but I never had the opportunity to see them with Moon, i was only 15 when he died,
  18. the thing with the remaining dead members is, they all have their own bands and have been touring regularly for almost as long as the dead themselves, so it's not like they are dusting off cobwebs....the lineup for Dear Jerry is sick and I cannot wait, would have loved to have been part of the Chicago scene, but that didn't happen. As far as the Who goes, my kids got me tickets for Christmas. I saw them in '82 so now i get to share their show with a 2 of my 3 kids....ain't nothing wrong with that.... http://blackbirdmusicgroup.com/dear-jerry-celebrating-the-music-of-jerry-garcia/
  19. Going to both The Who and a gathering of the remaining Dead members and I couldn't be happier...would love to see the Stones as well, but I only have limited money
  20. if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, give me the info, i can do it from my ip address and you will be safe....just pm me all your account and personal information.
  21. Like others said, didn't have the flash of a season ender, but it sets up the Jimmy to Saul transformation perfectly and shows that for all his faults Jimmy/Saul has a heart and is loyal.
