  1. Pretty sure there's a small country store that is out around $500 in groceries from a camping trip mixup from a couple years ago
  2. bad week for pork products http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/amtrak-crash-306324891.html
  3. she's pretty damned speedy, isn't she....
  4. are the refs from last nights NBA game reffing this game as well???
  5. so far, this womens game is so much more enjoyable to watch than the mens game, obvious reasons not withstanding....haven't seen a single flop yet, seems the women play to score whereas the men seem to play to get penalties on the opponent..... and for the record, the ref looks pretty hot...almost "danica patrick-like"
  6. Not sure declaring first or second matters, you just have to pitch with the same arm for each individual batter. Just like the batter can't switch sides of the plate during the same at bat. I stand corrected
  7. i am pretty sure i have regained my virgin status.....
  8. are these activities open to the media? I want to hear reports....even if they are from the pathetic bunch of buffalo reporters
  9. I can look it up but why the misspelling?
  10. Went to pick up my son again today. Pulled into the complex, he now has a female cohort, so they can collect money at the intersection and sit outside target. What got me is the guy came walking out of target after ten minutes of his very well behaved dog, and his neatly organized backpack. He was sipping on a Starbucks drink. Now in his defense, some kind soul could have bought it for him, but the appearance is too much for me. Oh, and the tattoos, which I'm sure cost money. Allegedly the target employees have heard the dude has a job in Maine and is trying to hitchhike there because he has no money.
  11. this would be a nice addition to the '16 class http://www.nunesmagician.com/2015/6/7/8741879/syracuse-basketball-former-providence-center-chukwu-will-visit
  12. give me a break....being in the army has zero impact on this story except to play on peoples emotions...the guy made almost 10x's profits...he knew what he was doing and money drove his decision....just like hundreds or thousands of other fans, from janitors to ceo's to stay at home moms or dads....
  13. I should clarify. The sign was no parking. I was "standing" at the no parking sign.
  14. It should be based on school grades only. Why "punish" a 5(?).0 student who doesn't need act or sat for his/her next stop in life. So if a group have equal grades, whether it's 2 or 50. They all reached the same accomplishment.
  15. Not sure what I call it. The cop choosing the lesser of two evils maybe? Odds may be that I will move without resistance, but if he asks the panhandler to move, perhaps he faces an argument from someone with seemingly less to lose and flack from the public for asking a poor helpless person to stop trying to better himself for maybe just that evening. Just kinda built up in me as time has passed
  16. So this just happened to me. Go to pick my son up from work at target. Pulled my car on the curb easement. Right in front of a no standing sign. I'm in my car, engine on. Son should be out in 2-5 minutes. Local cop swings by, tells me I have to move. I say ok, also tell him I'm just waiting for my son to finish work. I move, no issue. As I pull away it hits me that a known panhandler is sitting against the wall near the exit about 10 feet behind my car. Has his backpack that looks big enough to hold supplies to climb Everest. His dog is also sitting there next to the guys sign. People are walking out putting money in his collection plate and feeding his dog. Cop rolls by and doesn't bat an eyelash. In the grand scheme of things, absolutely no inconvenience to me in any way, shape or form. But thinking back, it really frosts my chaps, or grinds my gears.
  17. You too, and thanks for setting me straight. And apologies after the fact to Tom for arguing a position we both kind of agree on. He's still an idiot though
  18. "In clinical psychology, a phobia is a type of anxiety disorder, usually defined as a persistent fear of an object or situation in which the sufferer commits to great lengths in avoiding, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed, often being recognized as irrational."
  19. I don't disapprove of heights or spiders, I'm afraid of them. Phobia means fear of.
  20. I don't get your point either. Homophobe to me, and those I know, seems to mean you are afraid or have a dislike of homosexuality. Being opposed to it is not in anyway a definition of homophobe, at least how I've ever understood it... I'm ok if you have a "valid" reason to be opposed to homosexuality. Being afraid of a person or hating a person because of it is not a "valid" reason to me.
  21. Don't get me wrong. I have 4 lines for my 3 boys and myself. They give me what they were paying for their virgin mobile accounts. Basically we are all paying the same collectively as we were individually, difference is they get newer phones and at minimum a year warranty
  22. I'd agree, but they also have to score 29 and 1200 or better on the ACT and SAT, Crap, 1200 used to be a good score, didn't realize it was based on 2400 these days. 29 is still a good ACT score, right?
  23. 'zackly....a participation award would be like letting me be one of the valedictorian awards with my solid below average gpa....these kids had perfect gpa and stellar test scores...good for them
  24. how about her dipping sauce?
