  1. not even the hope of eternal life would get me to drink Miller Lite
  2. is he? I am willing to retract my earlier statement if he is really sorry...
  3. I am so done with this team and it's cast of criminals. Inexcusable at this level...
  4. speaking from my standpoint, we do it to avoid 'questionable' or 'offensive' words showing up in the type-ahead or auto-suggest function, no different than most businesses that have search functions in their business landscape
  5. Pretty sure the Rooney Rule now allows it...I could be mistaken though.
  6. just watched the segments on youtube...nice job of a finale. really enjoyed the everlong montage...really liked the slightly extended pause on zevon. anyone know if letterman and chris elliot are on friendly terms, perhaps i missed it, but i would have thought he would have been good as one of the final guests. all in all despite what Julia Louis Dreyfuss said, this was a very good series finale
  7. Working in a search engine related job, you'd be amazed and embarrassed what people type into search boxes. We monitor it monthly to try and keep phrases from appearing
  8. I'm youtubing it tomorrow. :-)
  9. i don't remember him ever being political at all, but i usually tune that stuff out immediately
  10. Looks like the Foo Fighters will be on the show tonight! That should be pretty awesome
  11. yeah, I know he did an album of Sinatra standards, and I get the song actually does have a 'goodbye' message, but there had to be a Dylan song that expresses a similar sentiment, this show/episode especially wasn't one to promote your newest endeavor...i guess i am just nit-picking
  12. I had no idea Jack Paar sang
  13. kinda like kimmel and matt damon?
  14. kind of strange that Letterman makes a big point of calling him the greatest songwriter of our time(not disputing that one bit), then he goes and sings a Sinatra song....
  15. I like Dylan as much as the next music fan, but he really should have hung it up years ago, at least older acts like the Stones, The Who etc are putting forth the effort...saw Dylan a couple years ago for the first time and he was kind of awful...he didn't take the stage until maybe the 3rd song and when he did, he was totally inaudible(i know that is his style, but this was horrible) Eddie Vedder, who I am not the biggest fan of, was on letterman the night before and he absolutely killed it and seemed to enjoy himself and the occasion he was there for. Other acts during this farewell tour have done the same thing, go out, sing something outstanding and pay tribute to Dave. They should have had Future Islands do the final show seeing as how Letterman absolutely loved their performance from a year or so ago
  16. are there guests tonight or is it just a retrospective?
  17. Never really liked Bob Seger, but that was a great story...was ramblin', gamblin' man really 1968???
  18. Those idiots didn't even react to see if she was ok...seemingly
  19. what, is that frowned upon now too??? dammit!!!
  20. Technically, they used to be the Celtics, and the current Celtics used to be the Braves...
