  1. i love festival season...when i win tonight, i am gonna get me a hippy vw bus, and do the festival circuit
  2. saw that lineup announcement this morning...Beck & Wilco, among others....wow!!!
  3. who goes inside to pay for gas?
  4. OK, I have completed my analysis of Powerball numbers drawn through history, I know the winning numbers!
  5. Nuh-uh....Rex Ryan sucks and ruined this premier defense....i read it on the google machine
  6. when you say neat, i assume you mean straight up, no water, no ice. my UK friends like to add a single drop(or less) of water, they say it simply breaks the surface tension of the scotch to add to the nose(?) is that accurate or is just kind of a fad thing?
  7. i'm not a scotch/whisky/bourbon fan at all, but I have a group of friends here that are scottish, irish and english, so hanging out with them usually involves them drinking some pretty good stuff, they let me sample and i just can't warm up to it at all. That being said, one i have ordered willingly is a lafroig scotch, has a very distinct 'band-aid' taste. Normally that isn't something that would sound appealing in something you consume(I understand it is a recognized flavor profile), but I kinda like it in that situation.
  8. would probably just break even, IF you were the only winner....
  9. isn't it basically a helicopter?????
  10. As Rico said, the Completion Backwards Principle was the Tubes jumping the shark. Listen to their What Do You Want From Live album. They were monsters!
  11. now it is becoming a bit more clear...my sister just texted me asking if i remember why I gave her my bowie tickets for that tour when he played the Dome. That syracuse show was scheduled for July 23rd and was postponed until the next show after buffalo, and THAT original Syracuse show may have had the Tubes scheduled as the opening act. When they rescheduled the Syracuse show there was no opening act, and being that i was in Fredonia, i opted to go to the Buffalo show instead of going home for the Dome show,
  12. brutal comments attributed to how teammates feel about Mario.
  13. not sure why they dropped off the Buffalo show, but I knew I wasn't crazy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tubes I am listening to the west coast feed and an hour + into the show and no mention of it yet.
  14. they just had a case here in philly where a guy was selling a bottle of Pappy on Craigslist....the poilce department set up a sting and arrested the dude, i am sure they will be trashing that bottle as well.
  15. apparently it was kept very secret...
  16. I may be misremembering, but that concert was originally scheduled to have the Tubes open for Bowie. Something came up and the show was cancelled/postponed, I had tickets. When the concert happened, i don't remember if there was an opening act, but, again my memory is very fuzzy as to whether i was actually there or not, I seem to recall leaving the show thinking that that may have been the one event, concert, movie etc that I could have walked out of from complete dissatisfaction. I seem to recall him just up on stage in his silver suit crooning and swaying and not much else.. That said, I always loved Bowie and his music. Very sad day in the music world today. maybe my recollection is pretty good...this one site doesn't give the show/venue a lot of praise http://www.davidbowieworld.nl/mijn-bootlegs-2-2/tour-recordings/1983-the-serious-moonlight-tour/attachment/david-bowie-1983-09-05/
  17. I'd be too scared i'd spend it all within 9 months...at least if i get smaller annual payments, if i blow through it in 9 months, i know i'd get more in 3...you'd figure I would eventually learn my lesson in those 20 years
  18. if you were to win, would you take the lump sum or the annual payments. I have always been of the mindset of taking the annual payments...i just feel that knowing you have 29 years of multi millions coming in is far more desirable than having 2-300M all at once....
  19. it's very easy to see how people can get caught up and spend above their means on the lottery. that is a crap load of money and really anyone can win, even with a single play
  20. i won't be...not sure why, wtf, $2 can turn into so much with so little effort, dear lord would it be nice to be lucky enough to win that.
  21. actually it is kind of hilarious, at least to me, on it's own, but yes, listening would put things a bit more in context.
  22. isn't huffington post a similar aggregator? or do they write their own stories.
  23. so glad we gave up those 4 picks for him....he's worth every bit of it
