  1. this makes me very happy! http://www.syracuse.com/celebrity-news/index.ssf/2015/12/howard_stern_siriusxm_radio_streaming_video_app.html#incart_river_home
  2. Agree, Brent Axe has always been solid. Fairburn is coming on strong. He does a nice job, very fair and balanced. He is as quick to point out the positives as he is to point out the negatives.
  3. We lost because we had poor play calls on too many 3rd and short, and we fumbled a punt. We did NOT lose because of penalties yesterday. I'd rather the team show some intensity and jump off sides or get taunting calls(within reason of course). I am not concerned about the penalties, plus I think they have diminished as the season has progressed. I think this team is heading in the right direction, they are a young team trying to get used to each other and the coaches. If we REALLY thought we would be significantly better this year with new owners, new coaches, new skill position players etc, then we are a deluded bunch of fans. This team WILL be good, i have 100% confidence that next year will be a banner year, but I still haven't 100% given up on this year.
  4. i didn't like the call either, but schmidt did put it out of bounds at the 3 yard line. at that point in the game, 3 or field position is a 50/50 call.
  5. thanks dude....my boys bought the xbox one...the kinect seems to be put away as well as the 360, i haven't heard any complaints yet... :-)
  6. Nice Buffalo contingent representing at reading terminal market during lunch today!
  7. thanks man, very helpful. we have kinect already. I figured the cost was in the fancy schmancy controller, doesn't seem worth it. My son has a 15% coupon from target, plus his employee discount, so we will probably get the regular xbox one and i already have a couple 1tb drives. thanks to everyone.
  8. oh crap...this weekend is Army vs. Navy in Philly??? ugh, it's gonna be a madhouse in town this weekend.
  9. basically what i am hearing, or rather not hearing, is the elite really isn't worth the extra money, i can get a 1TB regular xbox one for 350, which is still $100 less than the elite. thanks for the feedback
  10. sorry if i wasn't clear...the xbox one is slowly bringing the 360 games playable on the one. no idea if that means they ALL will be, but i assume the bigger titles will be newly compatible on the One http://en.yibada.com/articles/93076/20151209/xbox-one-backwards-compatibility.htm
  11. Xbox is releasing more backwards compatible games each month, right now there are about 100, it will catch up soon. allegedly..
  12. gonna get one for christmas for the Poojer progeny....is there REALLY any advantage to the Elite over the regular? I understand about the upgraded controller, the SSHD, the 1TB storage. But is it REALLY worth all that extra money? The progeny aren't huge gamers. Just not sure if it's worth the extra $200. Thoughts?
  13. they are doing something called the punk rock flea market this weekend in philly, it is a couple times a year event. I may go walk around and see if there is anything interesting tomorrow. I bet i can find something cool for 30-ish bucks
  14. pfft...i do a clean and jerk every day....
  15. dunno yet, party isn't until wednesday, have a few more days to figure something out or pick from one of these most awesome suggestions.
  16. Plus Jerry Colangelo just joined the staff, overseeing basketball ops. Don't be surprised to his son come in as well and watch hinkie be shown the door....then we won't be able to get $5 sixers tickets anymore :-(
  17. one i have been meaning to try but haven't made my way yet is gooey looies. I have heard good things, but just haven't ventured there yet. Tony Lukes is very good, they put one in KoP mall, not the same atmosphere but the food is still all Tony Luke
  18. if my aunt had nuts, she'd be my uncle
  19. they are to cheesesteaks in philly what anchor bar is to wings in buffalo, ground zero pretty much but others have improved upon them. You will get a very good cheesesteak from them, but there is always a very long line at both places. Best part about Pat's and Geno's is you have Italian Market on one side of them, Passyunk Ave with shops and pubs on the other side.
  20. yup, don't let the ambience of a place scare you away, and as long as it's daylight, don't be too worried about the neighborhood either, just be aware of your surroundings..
  21. i agree with everything you and PTR have said, however, Pat's and Geno's are very good for tourists, much like anchor bar is a destination for visitors to Buffalo, you can say you did it. I do like Jim's for cheesesteaks, and sorry PTR, in Philly Whiz has a place on steaks(Whiz wit for me). For an added Philly treat, stop at Lorenzo's first, get a slice, then a Jim's steak and make yourself a Philly Taco :-) Best sandwich in town, hands down is still Dinic's roast pork with sharp and rabe....honestly it is worth fighting the crowds at Reading Terminal Market, actually Reading Terminal alone is worth fighting the crowds.
  22. anyone coming to town and wants to see the poojer side of Philly on saturday, let me know, would love to meet a group of Bills fans in Center City and show you my highlights of the city, sprinkled in with several adult beverage stops.
  23. it's called a highlight reel for a reason....
