  1. ....Doug Whaley ladies and gentlemen. And people still pretend like he was a great GM
  2. I struggle with seeing race in the Tyrod situation. I noticed that none of the journalists on the beat, even someone like Jerry Sullivan was has proven to be a contrarian and outspoken about social injustice issues, has made this correlation. Bills fans loved Tyrod and hoped he would be THE QB. But it became clear that he was an average game-manager type QB. He also was not in the best situation in Buffalo starting in 2016 with Rex Ryan’s mismanagement and then in 2017 running a Rick Dennison offense that wasn’t suited for him, and featured a poor supporting cast
  3. If we can forgive Michael Vick for dog killing, Richie Inconito for bullying, Kareem Hunt for kicking a woman (and so on)....then we can forgive a teenager for quoting a racially insensitive tweet a decade ago
  4. I hope not. Josh has had three years or so to show his true character and he seems to have passed with flying colors
  5. I agree...the perception of some is that the Bills fans ran Tyrod out of town and that he never got a fair shake. I remember during 2019 there were countless comparisons between Allen’s numbers and Taylor’s and questions as to whether they made a lateral move in getting rid of Taylor for Allen. Like I said, if you followed the team under Taylor then you understand the desire to replace him.
  6. Just pure speculation on my part, but the fact that they bring up Tyrod Taylor when discussing Allen makes me think their biases are motivated by what they perceive as racism. - Tyrod Taylor benched for Nate Peterman - Tyrod replaced by a raw rookie in Allen who put up worst numbers than Taylor - Josh Allen’s old racially insensitive tweets from 2010 - The portion of Allen defenders who likely may have had racially insensitive things/support very conservative organization on their Twitter profile. Yes they do exist in the Bills fan base and in all fan bases. But I don’t see it as a big a correlation as Foxworth does. Again... I could be wrong but this is my impression.
  7. It’s not that.... You’re completely right about the Mahomes play. If Josh Allen did that, it would be all over Twitter.
  8. Cornelius Bennett is registered as a sex offender in Florida. I think there are sports writers who are going to hold this against him despite what he did on the field.
  9. That’s exactly what he’s doing
  10. It’s getting to the point where Wright is making this a comedy bit. He’s agreed to do a Pinto Ron challenge with Colin Cowherd. Obviously this was orchestrated by FOX, but it’s something fun at least https://twitter.com/theherd/status/1339271481981870084?s=21 Bomani Jones is the dude who fans should direct their hate at
  11. I’m sorry....but any time someone brings up Tyrod when evaluating Josh, then you know they are biased and that the argument itself is bigger than his QB play. What does Tyrod Taylor have to do with whether Josh Allen is a good QB? Just like Nick Wright, Bomani’s bias toward Josh is rooted in the decision to replace Tyrod with Nathan Peterman, and then the decision to move on from him. To compound things, Josh did have those decade old tweets come out which was fuel to the fire. Both Wright, Jones and other writers looked at the move on a surface level and assumed it racism. Fans and journalists close to the situation saw the move for what it was - a chance to start a QB that could score more points. In the case of Wright, he’s now looking to troll the fan base like his colleagues Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd. Bomani looks to be going this route as well, those the insinuations of racism from the fan base tell me his feelings are a bit more authentic
  12. That would’ve been a TD for Hughes too. His point is valid...but you can play the “what if game all day” when reviewing NFL games
  13. Technically we could... but given the fact that QB Coach to OC is a pretty big promotion and the fact that most franchises frown on blocking upward mobility, I have a hard time thinking this team would stop Dorsey if he wanted to go
  14. Could he possibly take Ken Dorsey with him as OC!?!?!?
  15. The better the Bills do in the postseason, the greater the chances are he leaving. It’s a good problem to have! With that said there are two ways to look at a potential OC opening: - On one hand, if Daboll isn’t back, you want the most stability possible for Josh. That would mean Ken Dorsey as OC. He was interviewed in 2017 and since then he’s part of the team that did a stellar job with Josh. He also has a great relationship with Josh which is what a lot of great QB’s want from a QB Coach. - On the other hand, the Bills have a Top 10 QB (at worst), a Top 10 WR (at worst), and a stable HC and GM with a track record of success. Could this opening be, perhaps, one of the most coveted jobs this offseason? It’s the whole continuity vs. risk debate
  16. It’s very possible, though I am sure that the Bills offense devolves quite a bit with Barkley at the helm.
  17. There is a blueprint to beat Baltimore. The Bills and Titans wrote it last season and several teams duplicated it this year. You shut down the run game, try to keep Lamar in the pocket and take away the middle of the field. Problem is that easier said that done. Your ends really need to contain Lamar and you saw two great DE’s last night continually fail to do that.
  18. Agreed to an extent. I don’t see Lamar being the same player five years from now. He’ll need to evolve as a passer but if we’ve learned anything Josh, that’s something that isn’t impossible
  19. Not sure about you... but I don’t really want to ply Baltimore. The running game and explosiveness of Jackson were on display last night big time and they looked dangerous
  20. It really means nothing. They would still need to win Saturday to clinch the AFC East. Win and in...need to get it done Clinch the Division with a win on Saturday
  21. Bruce Nolan from Buffalo Rumblings is better than all the names you mentioned
  22. I feel kind of bad because he seems like a nice guy but I haven’t really cared for his work. Maybe part of it is the position he’s in and his misleading job title of “Bills Insider.” He also never established any kind of personality for himself in the way that a Sal Capaccio has. I used to get frustrated back in the day when the Bills had some terrible football teams and Brown was reluctant to ever admit it and pretended that they were a competent NFL franchise. He wouldn’t acknowledge how awful their offense looked under Dick Jauron and reported as if Chan Gailey would be the Bills HC at a time when it was reported that Buddy was deciding his fate. Also while reporters like Sa Maiorana, Tim Graham and Jerry Sullivan would ask tough questions, Brown would lob up softballs. Since then I think he’s gotten better at reporting. But I’ve always viewed him as a “yes man” who won’t say anything that’s not positive
  23. Not just concussions but injuries in general. He’s a smaller player who throws his body around the field. Injuries have always been a concern
  24. He’s had a very good year and offensive line play seems to be in decline, so he’d still probably get paid with an average performance vs Watts. But yeah his work last night will earn him a few more millions
  25. I don’t think so. Jaquan Johnson was declared out early last week and he’s a special teamer. Pitts is good on special teams. Seems to make sense to me
