  1. So the fact that he’s traditionally been good would essentially debunk the Tyler Dunne narrative that the he gets too “tight” in late game situations. This season has been quite been odd in one score games to say the least. I’be always said it shouldn’t all be on McDermott in these situations. Of course you can find fault in the play calls in the situation but you also can’t overlook the individual breakdowns either. NE: defense couldn’t tackle Stevenson on a screen and defenders gave NE cheap yards on PI penalties. CIN: Failed to get off the field in 3rd and 3 when Von lost contain on Joe Mixon. DEN: Denver was stopped on 4th down at midfield before a PI penalty put them in FG range. (12 men on field still inexcusible) PHIL: Scheme could have been better but lost lead on a percentage FG in regulation. Overtime defense was a cluster. The most frustrating part is that right before the game winning score, Josh drove the Bills down the field to take the lead. So incredibly frustrating. Dan Orlavsky talked about the game plan on One Bills Drive as praised Dorsey. He said the Bills chose run away from and to not block Parsons and put him in conflict. They could do this because of Josh Allen - but he also said Detroit tried this same approach on Maxx Crosby and it was a disaster. I can’t remember a time when Dorsey had such a creative game plan that worked to perfection like this. Joe Brady is a smart guy
  2. Why are you calling him McKittrick? I don’t get it and it isn’t funny
  3. We could find about 50 ”what if” examples this season. Pretty foolish to bring this up
  4. Uh….I didn’t find this clip to be as nearly as profound as you did. It starts with Peter rambling and cutting himself off mid-sentence. The clip he referenced about the Bills odds was more positive than negative regarding their playoff chances and showed how might higher the odds had gotten over the past two weeks. King them completely contradicted himself by saying “The Bills are one of the best teams in the NFL…RIGHT NOW” and the mentioning they have an “upward climb?” Let me get this right…one the best teams playing against 5-9 and 3-11 team is an “upward climb?” Everyone wants to say he was slow to fire Dorsey but when I ask the proceeding question, no one has an answer - Explain when McDermott should have fired Ken Dorsey? I thought Denver was his first real opportunity to do and even then he took a lot of ***** for it. Now we see it was the right move. Not making the move earlier probably cost the Bills a few wins, but I think you need to give your OC (especially one that was so close to your franchise QB) opportunists to improve.
  5. You make it sounds like it was a mistake to move on. They gave Harty a decent contract which clearly was a miss from a production standpoint. The difference is he doesn’t make the mental mistakes that McKenzie did. Sherrield was signed to the vet minimum - not sure where the “lot of money” comes from. He hasn’t had the receptions but has helped in the run game and special teams. Shakir will finish the year with stats close to what McKenzie had in 2022. He more than picked up the slack and again…doesn’t make the metal mistakes. Overall it was a good decision to move on from McKenzie.
  6. You could also bite the bullet and pay the $5 for Peacock
  7. If it were PED’s wouldn’t the discipline come from the league and not the team? Fighting or repeatedly breaking rules like showing up to practice seems like it would be a one game suspension. The fact they are suspended for the final 3 games of the season by the team is almost unprecedented.
  8. Probably the best fit for him. I have a feeling he wants to go back to KC. Probably…he won’t see many snaps in Buffalo
  9. Who is Taron’s biggest completion? Mike Hilton? He’s kind of in a league of his own, considering he’s basically playing linebacker
  10. 100% the article was an editorial and Dunne went too hard on his take using personal anecdotes to add credibility to his opinion. As a result he’s known as the guy that wrote a “hit piece” and he’s currently hiding from the criticism on Twitter and commenting behind a paywall. It says a lot Ok that’s fine. But to your point, just because Dunne chose to include a positive quote does not absolve him like you are trying to do. But to your point, from everything he’s said publicly about McDermott and vice versa, I think the two have a good relationship.
  11. The Bills wanted to upgrade from McKenzie which is why the signed Harty. The thought was that he could take a step forward and play WR3. They put a lot of confidence in him, and it didn’t really work out. Harty’s been a disappointment, yet his numbers are slightly better.
  12. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Dunne has been in hiding but will occasionally respond politely to some of the criticism. He doesn’t seem to be reveling in the controversy.
  13. Dunne did include a positive quote from Dirty but that doesn’t necessarily mean everything he said was positive. Dunne could have used the positive quote as red herring. Regardless, the Bills know what the ceiling of McKenzie is and I think they are looking for more from a WR5/WR6
  14. People are making jumps that this was related to gambling or drug use - if this were the case the suspension would be coming from the league. My first guess is that these two got into some kind of fight but would that warrant a 3 game suspension in the middle of a playoff push? Hopefully we find out what happened here
  15. Meh, I just paid the $5.99 a month around Black Friday. It’s worth it to watch the game That’s what I’m doing… it’s only $3. It cost $8 to read the McDermott hit piece!.
  16. What did he say. I just read the headline from Thadski Brown and it says he wouldn’t be ready.
  17. Yes this is the logical move but Poona Ford’s absence on the 53 is a great mystery. Eric Washington said he wouldn’t “be ready” for the Chargers. Why? Who knows? All I know is that Poona took less money to come to Buffalo and the Bills signed him to a decent contract above the vet minimum. When he was active, his tape showed some good reps and some bad ones - even a few flashes. No different that Jordan Phillips or Tim Settle. You’d assume he’d be the next man up but I have a feeling Eli Ankou might get called up for this game
  18. To be honest, I’m a little disappointing in the Rapp signing. There were hopes he could step in an potentially replace Hyde or Poyer next year. That ain’t happening. When did John Elway morph into half man-half horse?
  19. This is where I’d lean. Both were the “hot” teams coming in and got absolutely beat down. Remember the narratives before all of these games: Miami dropped 70 points on Denver. Tyreek was going to break the single season receiving record (still might), the Dolphins offense was going to set the record for scoring. Tua was going to break the single season mark for TD’s and passing yards. The Bills defense limited them to 20 points Dallas was regarded as the 2nd best team in the NFL and ready to make a playoff run averaging 40 points per game and having the 5th best defense. They were bullied…essentially pounded into submission. I think performances like this are why you stick with McDermott as HC even if they don’t make the playoffs (pending they finish with 10 wins and don’t flame out). There’s been an incorrect and ignorant narrative here that McDermott is bad coach. These games prove he is not. I think we can’t dismiss how the inconsistent Ken Dorsey offense hurt the Bills in big games this season. I also feel that the Dallas game shows the ability of an OC to create a game plan that targets the weakness of a specific opponent. LOL don’t pretend these wins were the same as the NYG or TB game. Give McDermott credit 100%. I don’t think the game script on offense would be the same if Ken Dorsey was still OC
  20. Right… and this goes back to Bill’s outdated philosophy and being totally clueless as GM. It was clear that Mac Jones wasn’t the type of QB that could elevate the offense and needed better playmakers at WR. So Bill lets their best WR Jakobi Meyers walk and overpays his replacement JuJu, re-signs an underwhelming Devante Parker, and low balls DeAndre Hopkins. He also signs Ezekiel Elliot to be his third down back. It’s bot a surprise they were worse this season
