I’ll take Campbell then at RT in the second. I think my bigger point is not someone to just push SB but to get better at RT. LB and RT first 2 picks.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
QLBillsFan replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
You make some good points. But while they did not provide him great WR’s the entire O is the RPO set. WR’s seemed to be happy to leave partially because the O is run first but also they don’t see Lamar as an elite thrower. -
Outside of LB the Bills greatest need is RT. I’ve been a big SB fan but last year he fell back. BB has mentioned his injury and lack of prep leading into the season. Also blocking in the NFL vs at NI is an adjustment. All that is true but just bringing in a vet to compete isn’t enough. Our QB is Josh Allen let’s continue to improve around him. Harrison from Oklahoma or Jones from Ohio State in the 1st. If SB wins the job great but most likely he become the back up. What do you all think ?

All true. But they created an entire O around him to generate his stats. He will not be good in a traditional O. Good luck to the next OC with him. -
We don’t have the $ and they like Bates. RT is the next OL move.

Does this mean the Bills have a shot at the 3 back up OL guys that dominated us at home in the playoffs???

What would you trade for Jerry Jeudy?
QLBillsFan replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall
Spot on !! I think for the $5m they will want some comp. They will ask for our 2- we give them our 3? Frees up $5 m that can be used for FA LB or OT. -
Lamar Jackson as TV analyst? It’s logical.
QLBillsFan replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well each franchise has the right to do stupid things. The Browns seem to be adept at that. Watson to me shouldn’t be able to play this year. His suspension should have been longer. But he has his rights apparently to make a living.I think many NFL fans aren’t too excited about it. Having said that it appears Lamar has miscalculated his worth. And other teams would be foolish to give him a contract offer while being 💯 percent unable to make other FA moves. The Ravens have played this well since Lamar turned down very appropriate offers. -

I’m trying to understand this? 😳 I think Josh could be a great announcer! But they are extremely early their NFL careers. Lamar has neither demonstrated a great ability to be a good interview nor expressed an interest in making less than $250 guaranteed over the next 5 years. -
The guys an excellent receiver and match up problem. Going to the Pats who have not been able to work the TE’s in seems like a bad fit. As mentioned he’s the ultimate first down/garbage celebration king. Glad he’s no longer on Miami as they are a better team.

Singletary—inarguably above average statistically: discuss

Hines is not a gunner. Taiwan has a very specific ST role especially with the Bills. The Bills will have a 3rd rb get snaps. Either Motor, another FA, or a 5th or 7th round pick. -

Consider that BB just brought in a pass blocking OG in FA. While I don’t think the RB’s have been the issue he may since he didn’t bring in a mauler OG. So does he draft the short yardage RB or get cheap via FA? Seems based on that he’s looking not to bring back Motor. Even though I’ve posted above why I really like Motor. And I would like him back. But BB first signing makes me think they won’t. Hope that makes sense 😀 And the Lions have a very good run OL. -

Appreciate your thoughts but not sure his YPC is inflated. The amount of poorly blocked plays totally blown up was really high. I suggest he had multiple 2-3 yard gains that were impressive runs. I think the YPC with his volume speaks to what it is. He’s a fairly elusive back with a well above average YPC. -

I think that speaks to the fact he’s a smart veteran in particular in pass protection. Cook needs to work on that area of his game and likely will improve with experience. I personally think the short yardage issue is more OL push on obvious short yardage vs our RB’s. We had the big short yardage guy in Moss. Even Josh on sneaks seems to have to fight and claw for a yard. Motor back at a good value is fine. Or draft the big Texas RB in the late rounds. Unless OL improves not sure it will matter. -
When they signed Milano I think they made the call on who they thought was both more impactful and affordable. Agree they could have extended earlier and likely for less than the $18m he got. But that’s assuming he was open to it. And at that juncture I don’t think he was worth it. Having over $30m at the position in the Bills D given the current NFL is not what BB wanted. If we had to choose I’m fine with Milano.

I think Campbell was the exact guy BB would target. Must have felt that Gabe brings fills that role, albeit with less speed. Seemed a better fit than Harty but I’ll trust BB knows more than I do.

Beane still looking to add big bodied RB to roster
QLBillsFan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn’t we trade a guy who had that profile ? How much falls in the OL. I’m good with get short yardage red zone rb in draft or FA but OL plays a part. And we so far have added a good pass blocking OG. -
I am thinking that OT is #1 or #2 priority with LB. If no additional starters at those positions come from FA. I’ve been a huge SB fan but he actually fell off a bit in year 2. How much does AK take on with this OL? We need more production and development from that position group. I’ll take Jones or Harrison at # 1 if they are on the board. I’m past, let’s bring in competition for Spencer.
