  1. Exactly, it was even on the trade value chart, which means the Bills shouldn't have done it. It should have taken a massive overpay to make the trade. There was an analytics guy after the trade that said the net points the Bills got in this trade, was the 4th worst ever. These draft trades very rarely end up equal.
  2. Agree to disagree on Kneeland. He is an athlete freak that I think will do really well in the NFL. He is a 3 down 4-3 DE. Has the size and arm length you want. Beane says that every year about players. It's GM talk. I wouldn't put any stock into it. Go re-watch the video, when they are talking amongst each other, they never mention who they are after. Then when they couldn't move up, Pegula is like, so we are taking Bishop? If that is who they were after in trying to trade up, why would that even be a question. Beane then has to "defend" Bishop in saying I think he will be a really good kid. Kind had the vibes of, we didn't the guy we were after, but this will still be a good player. Brings me back to the Brad Richards, Ville Leino FA BS back in the day.
  3. I don't like how much power Beane has with the trading of picks. Seemed like it all ran through him, and not once did he look to analytics guy to see if the deal was a good deal. Like the KC deal should have never happened, but Beane was so hell bent on getting into the 3rd, the value was terrible for the Bills. Same situation for the Carolina movement. The difference between a 5th and 6th was not worth losing the 5th year option. You draft a player thinking that player will make multiple pro bowls, if you don't think that way, don't draft the player. The money difference between the 5th year option and a contract extension for a guy like Chase is over 10 million. Any analytic guy could tell you this. Instead Beane just pulled the trigger on another dumb trade. I also don't think the Bills were after Bishop when trying to move up in the 2nd. The editing made it seem that way, but I bet they were trying to get up for a different player. Bishop was drafted right where he was projected and was in a tier of a lot of different safeties, like they felt with WR in the first. I think the drop off after Keenland for edge rushers was pretty large.
  4. It's a little crazy to think that if Claypool's production in year 1 and 2, were actually in year 3 and 4, he would have got a Gabe Davis contract. Instead he just signed for 25k guaranteed, where he can only earn a max of 1.225 million.
  5. It's been well documented that Brady was the assistant to the assistant at LSU. He didn't have say in the offense or personnel. The WR there were Chase and Jefferson.
  6. The Bills are entering an era of running a Big Ten offense. It's clear as day with the acquisitions that have come this offseason and how the offense operated when Brady took over. Coleman interview
  7. Which one of these players will retire before or during season?
  8. If taking a flyer on a guy, I would have preferred MVS over Claypool.
  9. Slayton is cheaper and a better option for this team than Sutton.
  10. I wonder about Slayton. Will he really play hard ball with the Giants and not report? He would fit in nicely here.
  11. 23 games, 42 recs, 620 yards, 3 tds. The definition of a JAG.
  12. Lol, its really not. He's tiny and constantly injured. He is a JAG in a league full of these guys. A guy like Justin Shorter was excellent on special teams and its something Beane mentioned last year when they drafted him. Unless Hamler can play special teams, he won't be the 6th WR. I am under the assumption the Bills are adding another body to this group after June 1st.
  13. Unless he is returning kicks, he wont even make team.
  14. Exactly my point. So why are people acting like Beane and the scouts couldn't have missed again in the 2nd? I'm bringing up legit concerns about the player, and I'm told that I'm not a scout or GM so whatever I think it meaningless. So pretty much scouts and Beane never miss so whatever I'm saying is completely wrong because I know nothing.
  15. Definitely not the team that drafted Ford, Basham, and Epenesa in the 2nd round. Or the team that drafted a third RB in the 2nd after drafting RB in the 3rd the prior two of three years. Or the team that drafted Elam in the first round.
  16. Will not forget the BS rumor that Jacksonville didn't want to trade for Aiyuk because it included Zay Jones, lol
  17. Allen texted Coleman on Friday after Beane told him that is who they are taking. Pretty sure Beane alluded to telling Allen who they were taking, not the other way around. The media has spun this into saying Josh telling Beane he wanted Coleman.
  18. I dont know why you are knocking youtube, they literally have full game cuts on there. It's no different than what scouts are watching. A cut up scout video is like 20 mins max. There is so much dead time in a football game. His blocking is hit and miss. Some good blocks, and some poor ones. I did notice that it seemed like he took a few too many plays off for my liking. Every player in the NFL does, but its something I didn't like with Diggs, so I'm not going to like it with Coleman. I don't know why I'm getting knocked for having an opinion that MANY really good analytic sites are saying. If Keon succeeds, it will be an outlier based on how past WR like him have done. I thought there were more sure bets at WR at 28, who still had flaws, but overall they had the production or tape where you could see it translating. The overall theme around Keon is a lot lower than what the Bills thought. Generally speaking, Beane has been terrible in the 2nd round. Not to mention, Beane thought so highly of Keon, that he had no issue giving up control for a 5th year. If Beane thought Keon was going to make multiple pro bowls, he wouldn't have given up that 5th year option. For a guy like Chase, it's saving Cin over 10 million.
  19. Yes, I don't know how anyone can watch this man play football and think he will be successful in the NFL. The dude just runs what looks like half speed out there. His routes are a joke. They are not crisp, they are not sudden, they are not twitchy, they are not precise, and to top it all off, he looks to be in slow motion. I personally think his hands are grossly overrated. Go watch the 22 min video on youtube of him, there are countless balls that are in his hands that he doesn't come down with. I don't know why those aren't counted as drops. The guy will not win on the outside in the NFL. Sauce Gardner will literally laugh at Coleman trying to get opened. He will be walking out there and able to be in his hip pocket. You think Coleman is going up over Gardner to get a ball?! This is the type of talent that you will find in the later rounds or even undrafted. This is just baffling to me scouts watched this man play and came away with the impression he will be a good WR.
  20. lol, not even close. It will be 65 Cook/25 Johnson/10 Davis
  21. A coach can't fix his DNA. You think a coach gave Hill his abilities? You are both with these things.
  22. My biggest issue with this pick is he doesn't fit the type of WR Allen will throw to. Keon is never going to get separation, he just won't. He isn't twitchy enough to do so. He won't be able to learn it and it's not coming with more reps. It's never going to be there. Will Allen throw to a guy that is considered covered? It's going to take throwing with anticipation because the ball needs to be high before the defender cant get his position or head around. Allen has never shown the desire to do either of these things on a consistent basis. He would rather run around and wait for a guy to get opened, rather that reading the play and throwing it before guys get separation. It's just a terrible fit. His ability to win is also going to come from the slot, so now we have ANOTHER slot guy.
  23. My guess is Chosen Anderson. He played under Brady, is a deep threat and cost MIA like a little over a million last year so he is cheap
  24. This team already gave the center position to McGovern, its a done deal. I'm not drafting a back up center. That's stupid.
