Wow. I'm not sure what game you watched. -
Where is the data to suggest that things will change?

Home run post here!!!!!!! I echo your sentiment loud and clear. Take everything you said into account. The begging question is what gets the team to advance further? in my eyes it's pretty clear and I've made my opinions very clear over the offseason. This team needs a jump start and a change The status quo isn't going to get it done. We've seen it over and over. Yesterday, was a microcosm of the past failures. It's not an anomaly. The weaknesses and flaws of the team still exist despite the attempted changes. The regime and coaches make moves but they don't produce significant results. First, it was finding a RB and then a pass rusher. Now, it's finding offensive weapons and building an oline. It's hard to be confident these new moves will pan out. It's been mostly disappointment after disappointment. The team still trots out Spencer Brown who hurts the team more than helps. The team trots out Bernard who hurts the team more than helps the team. Head scratching decisions. The team still trots out WR2 Gabe Davis who can't separate unless he has 10 seconds to do so. Yet, the coaching staff and management sell us the product. Tell us how Gabe works so hard, Brown will improve, and we like the guys we have at MLB. Many optimistic fans tell the cynical Bills fans trust the process and McD and Beane. Special shout out to poster SHAW here. IMHO, that trust is dwindling and eroding. With that said, this need needs a coaching change in the worst way. McD has max'ed out his time here. Appreciate his accomplishments but recognize his time is up. The team won't get over the hump. The clapping and good guy persona has taken it's course. Great team builder but not a finisher. No better evidence of that then 13 seconds and the Cincy throttling. No need to see more. The writing is on the wall it's just a matter of do you wanna read it. Must here don't. I get it. Dorsey continues to learn on the job and hurt the team. His inexperience and lack of creativity is glaring obvious. His game time adjustments are God awful and his ability to reign in Allen is problematic to say the least. Dorsey has been anything but a positive for this team. Now, I'm a bit conflicted on Beane. His failures have contributed to the Bills failure to progress further. The Bills cap issues and older roster issues aren't going away soon. Yet, Beane and his willing to swing for the home run with Allen has resulted in great success. Six straight playoff appearances is impressive. That pick single handily changed the franchise. It didn't come without controversy either. Playoff appearances just don't cut it anymore. The goal is AFC championship and SB. Maybe my standards are too high? Sure it's difficult but enough of the excuses. This fan is tired of them... Solid GMs are hard to find. At least that's my initial thought process. Perhaps, I'm wrong here. I'm still conflicted on whether moving in from Beane is advantageous or not. Sorry for the rant. -
Diggs balled out yesterday. He's the only legit proven weapon the Bills have on offense. All he wants to do is win. He can see his QB is struggling and losing confidence. Yesterday he tried to pick him up. Yet, Diggs gets blame here. That's crazy. Side note is Diggs will create problems if the Bills continue to lose. He won't sit silent accepting loses. He will absolutely be vocal to a point where he's a distraction. That's who Diggs is and that's not going to change. I keep coming back to the Diggs McD confrontation on the sidelines. Diggs relented to coach McD. A free pass sort of speak. I think that was coach McD getting the benefit of the doubt. Next time I think Diggs won't be so passive. This is something to keep an eye on

I agree with everything except the Dolphins part. Miami has a much better roster than Buffalo. They have weapons galore on offense and a innovation modern day coach. The Bills aren't cruising past them for the division. It will be a dog fight likely to the end. The Bills have proven that can't beat KC or Cincinnati in the playoffs. This year is likely the same outcome. Both teams have tested and proven playoff winners. Mahomes and Burrow are clearly better than Allen come playoff time. Allen is not the Allen of 13 seconds in KC. That year and that game was an outliner. We haven't seen that version of Allen in 3 years and likely never will. We fans have to stop thinking that's the version of Allen we will get! Instead, we will get an inconsistent Allen. One who will make spectacular plays and bone head plays. He is that good to beat sub par to decent teams on his own. Come playoff time it's a different story. Allen can't single handily beat those teams. Mahomes can but not Allen. The oline, lack of weapons, and poor coaching are too many negatives for Allen to overcome. It's not all on him although it always trickles back to the QB. Let's be happy nest here. The Bills are a good team. They are likely to make the playoffs. They are likely to fall short again. If anyone wants to show me a path on how the Bills get it done please do so. Right now, it sure looks like a long shot.

Not off to a good start. Allen taking blame is all good but you have to produce on the field. He was just awful in the 2nd half. It was a bad rookie version of Allen.

So many here refuse to see the obvious. Wish it was that simple with Allen.

As a Bills fan, I'm craving a SB appearance at the very least and a SB win. A winning record over the Jets is hardly a successful season. A playoff birth and an early exit is hardly a successful season. That might sound brass to a Jets fan. No offense intended. This team has been primed to represent the AFC for several years now. Only to fall short time after time. Frustration and doubt is mounting as games and years pass. Tonight's game only intensified the failure of this regime. Ground hog day... To put it in proper perspective the Bills Brass went out and purposely made offensive moves. All off season, many have talked about an improved offense. Some indicating it might be the best O in the league. Did you see a dynamic offense? A changed offense? A great oline and dangerous offensive weapons? Besides Diggs this offense is mediocre with a bunch of one offs. All replaceable pieces. It lacks dynamic game changing players. Come playoff time (assuming the Bills make it) teams will double Diggs. Thus far, the Bills have no answer to combat this. To boot the franchise QB Shi! the bed. Gave the game away or the Jets D took it from him. In short, tonight's game was a microcosm of last year's season. All the same issues and weaknesses were present. The only saving factor is it's game one. A long season to improve and figure it out. However, that's putting a lot of faith in a sub par OC and an overated defensive head coach. I guess we will see how it plays out.

Ok if you say so. Come the end of the season let's see if it was a big game. After this game, as a fan it's hard not to be disappointed in the way the Bills played. Several of last years issues seemingly reappeared tonight. The oline can't stop a quality defense, the love for Cook should be tempered. He's nice but not elite and can't shed a tackle. Allen continues to turnover the ball. A constant theme for years now. Gotta ask if this is who he is aka Farve. Coaching wasn't great tonight. Dline gave up some big runs which is another common theme. Kincaid looked decent but far from what many were implying he's a game changer. Knox was better. Bernard didn't look as bad as I thought. I don't have much confidence in this coaching staff. Dorsey appears to be unable to put a cohesive game plan or make positive adjustments. He seems to call plays on the fly play by play like backyard football. Maybe I'm wrong here but that's my feeling. Coach McD is overrated. I just don't think he can get this team over the hump. With that said, I still thought the Bills were going to win the game once they won the OT toss. He's overpaid and that was a bad deal by Beane.

Week 1, Bills v. Jets - Predict the Score

I don't need no props. I'm pretty pissed off the Bills lost. Tough to swallow an OT loss in that manner when the Bills O had the ball first. So disappointing. -
They really aren't the answers. They are power backs and the Bills oline is anything but that. The oline got beat in the trenches. It was pretty obvious pre game that the Jets Dline would give the Bills issues. They certainly didn't disappoint. The Bills still look to have issues in the trenches. Hard to win against good teams.
