  1. I would like to see Davis excell. That would really put the offense at another level. Personally, I think a lot of Davis success will depend on Kincaid and other receivers. If Davis is the true number 2 WR, I'm not super enthusiastic about Davis breaking out.
  2. He better get a solid agent to work the WR angle for a bigger pay day.
  3. Very good point that I failed to mention. I agree. Don't you think they should change his position to WR rather than TE?
  4. I think he has a high ceiling too. I think he will do well too if utilized property. The NFL is a different step up from Utah. Couple that with his limited college football experience. There is a huge learning curve here. I think most are minimizing or ignoring this. Another issue is the guy isn't much of a blocker. He will be a liability at times. No doubt he can be an offensive weapon. His hands are elite and route running looks very good. Allen should only make him better. I'm just not ready to proclaim him as the next Kelce or the one who gets the team over the top. Let's look at Cook as an example. Perhaps not totally applicable but nevertheless I think it has some merit. So many here talked about how great he was going to be. So excited about the draft pick. He was going to use his speed and catch the ball out of the backfield. Take it to the house if you will. We all know what happened last year. Let's wait and see what kind of impact a rookie TE with limited college football and limited blocking skills will have. Let's wait to see if his elite hands and route running will be utilized by Dorsey. There are lots of unanswered questions. Let's be optimistic but realistic too.
  5. They should look at all their options. If he has something to add on the cheap then get it done.
  6. I really like the Kincaid pick. I also liked Zay Flowers and Jack Campbell. Both were long gone though. At the time and now, I think it was a fine pick. My only contention is how Bills fans are saying he's the next Kelce. The ceiling is very high and I'm optimistic that he will do well. But come on now let's see how it plays out. That's all I'm saying.
  7. Ok will do. Firstly, Buffalo is a small market while NY is a huge market. Thus, I believe the NFL would love to see the Jets do well. Generates more interest and revenue when a big market team is more successful. The Jets haven't made the playoffs in decades. The league would love nothing more than a Jet playoff appearance. Secondly, all eyes out on the Jets and Rodgers. The Jets on Hard Knox just amplifies things. Right now, they are the talk of the NFL. The darlings of the league. The refs are human and likely can be influenced by the Jets hype. Thirdly, the Jets are playing at home in front of what will be a wild, crazy, and frenzied fan base. The home field and crowd is more likely to influence the refs in the Jets favor. For example, questionable holds, not calling holds, and INTs calls. I think it's naive to think the home crowd doesn't influence the refs. The term "home job" confirms this. Just don't bet more than you can afford.
  8. Thank you for this post. This is exactly what I'm trying to convey. You said it so well. Realism is greatly appreciated!
  9. You are completely entitled to your opinion. No offense taken whatsoever. Nevertheless, I stand by what I said.
  10. Agree! Coach McD clearly gave Fraizer his stamp of approval. It certainly was coach McD defense. However, the little tweeks might be effective. Might be the difference from winning and losing or getting that crucial stop. Personally, I don't have much faith in McD. I certainly don't see him as a savior or the answer. Let's see how it plays out. Either way, McD will be front and center. He will get blame or praise based on his performance. Who can bicker about that?
  11. I really question if players have a little negative thought process after the 13 sec coach McD disaster. If they question in the back of their mind can he get it done. I get the feeling that Diggs feels this way. Gotta believe others do too.
  12. Agree but I'd add in Tua and Rodgers too. It was an absolute opinion.
  13. I'm glad he's taking over the defense! He can't hide anymore. He and the fan base can't use Frazier as the scapegoat. It's put up or shut up time. That's a great thing.
  14. Watch and see how the refs call the game. You certainly can't think the Bills are going to get the close calls. I truly believe they will have a negative impact against the Bills. I don't think that's an unreasonable oo invalid thought process.
  15. No I'm thinking the Tenn and Pitt team of a couple of years ago. Where they out muscled the Bills. No the Bills play goes back further than this pre season. They played a poor game vs Miami and we know the Cincinnati story. It's still in the minds of the fans and likely the players too. Yes it's a new season with lots of changes. In my eyes, this team and coaching staff have a lot to prove. It sure seems like the gap in the division has closed. The Bills no longer seem like a dominant team in the division or in the league. They are still very good and can excell under the right circumstances. I'm not giving up hope. To be honest, this is likely the make or break year for the Bills. A super bowl just seems so far away now. I felt the complete opposite last year when the season started. More than fair post. The best chance for advocating a Bills win is Allen. He will have to be Mahomes like on Monday night. A mediocre Allen won't get it done.
  16. Sir, the Bills couldn't do anything vs Cincinnati three oline back ups. The same theme was fermented day after day until the game started. To boot, the Bengals running game thrashed the defense too. Do you really have confidence that the Bills can generate a solid pass rush? I don't! Can they stop the run? The Bills don't have the advantage in the trenches. They are a finesse team that lacks strength and relays on speed. The Jets will likely out muscle the smaller Bills players. Remember, the Zach Wilson game where they pounded the ball like 10 to 15 times straight and ran out the clock for the win. They know how to run block well and they added a dangerous and motivated Delvin Cook. In short, don't get enamored with the weak oline of the Jets. The Bills pass rush is unlikely to take advantage of it and Rodgers knows how to handle pressure.
  17. No, the Bills are losing to the Jets because they will dominant the battle in the trenches. The Bills are still weak there. The Jets are more physical and it's a bad match up for the Bills. Think Pittsburg and Tennessee if you will. The difference maker last year was mostly the QB position. The Jets closed the gap tremendously. Rodgers won't be asked to be Superman in NY. Delvin Cook broke off a huge run last year and another wouldn't surprise me especially because the Jets like to pound the rock. Likely Cook will be extra motivated. It's a opening Monday night game on September 11th in NY. What a frenzy and home field advantage the Jets have. HUGE!!! How can the refs not favor the Jets! We all should get prepared for a ref fuc#ing. The team looks to be limping into this game. The offense and defense looks somewhat unenthusiastic, unmotivated, or perhaps floundering. I know many we revert to it being preseason and no need to be alarmed. I get that. However, it doesn't bode confidence in my mind. Lastly, you have to keep in mind the coaching factor. McD has a lot on his plate and who knows how Dorsey responds under serve duress. Perhaps another tablet is DOA. I don't see the Bills offense consistently moving the ball in the Jets. Their defense matches up well with Buffalo. The Bills oline is a work in progress. Nowhere near refined or cohesive. Their dline will win more battles than they lose. Not to mention they have one of the best secondaries in the league. Besides Diggs the Bills have a bunch of fill ins. Don't believe the Gabe Davis hype. The Bills are experience and have Allen. That alone should keep the game somewhat close. In the end, the Bills have too much to overcome. No Von, home field advantage, poor ref calls, McD first game as coach and DC, Dorsey?, no MLB, and a oline that is a work in progress. This is the Jets Superbowl sort of speak. Bills lose by 10.
  18. Really like the signings. Beane is teeeking an already loaded and dangerous roster. You can't hate that! He's always looking to improve the team.
  19. It's starting to look like Buffalo was and is a solid playoff team that presumably falls short year after year. At the very least, it applies until proven false. Frankly, I wanted him as the Bills coach this year. I think he would have given the team a huge spark, new identity, and even more dangerous on the offensive side of the ball. Frankly, I just can't get excited about coach McD anymore. His time has run out in my mind. He's best to go rebuild another team. I know that's the minority view. I get it.
  20. I'm already there. I started questioning the coaching shortly after 13 seconds. Since McD has arrived, I've watched the Bills lose winnable playoff games and get out coached numerous times. He's not a poor or horrible coach but I think he's overrated. I welcome a change to an offensive minded coach .
  21. Anyone have flashbacks of opening day vs Pitt a couple of years ago? McD didn't have the team ready to play at all. It is possible the Bills players are still suffering from the turbulence of last season. Suffering from PTSD? Have they moved on? Can they focus on football?
  22. Almost feels like the Bills are limping into the Monday night game vs the Jets. Under the McD regime, the Bills have won a lot of pre season games and played pretty well. Felt like he wanted to instill winning, playing hard, and executing in these games. This year seems completely different. Like let's not get hurt and play ultra conservative. Maybe that's a good thing? Just feels a bit strange. Certainly, had me wondering if other teams especially in the division have closed the gap. This season seems pivotal to the direction on the Bills going forward. As a side note, look out for Diggs if things start going south. He will 100 percent be a problem. Hopefully, that doesn't happen.
