  1. Mostly on the defensive side of the ball. Besides Diggs I didn't see any great things from anyone else. Cook was ok and Kincaid show promise. Harty and Sherfield are one offs. Davis just sucks. This offensive has no game changers besides Diggs.
  2. The pass rush was good but they were facing a poor pass blocking team and a back up QB. Also, a bottom tier offensive team. So the jury is out on how good the Bills pass rush is. It is very encouraging though. Hopefully, it's the real deal. It was one of the few bright spots in the game.
  3. As a Bills fan, I'm craving a SB appearance at the very least and a SB win. A winning record over the Jets is hardly a successful season. A playoff birth and an early exit is hardly a successful season. That might sound brass to a Jets fan. No offense intended. This team has been primed to represent the AFC for several years now. Only to fall short time after time. Frustration and doubt is mounting as games and years pass. Tonight's game only intensified the failure of this regime. Ground hog day... To put it in proper perspective the Bills Brass went out and purposely made offensive moves. All off season, many have talked about an improved offense. Some indicating it might be the best O in the league. Did you see a dynamic offense? A changed offense? A great oline and dangerous offensive weapons? Besides Diggs this offense is mediocre with a bunch of one offs. All replaceable pieces. It lacks dynamic game changing players. Come playoff time (assuming the Bills make it) teams will double Diggs. Thus far, the Bills have no answer to combat this. To boot the franchise QB Shi! the bed. Gave the game away or the Jets D took it from him. In short, tonight's game was a microcosm of last year's season. All the same issues and weaknesses were present. The only saving factor is it's game one. A long season to improve and figure it out. However, that's putting a lot of faith in a sub par OC and an overated defensive head coach. I guess we will see how it plays out.
  4. Depends on how you quantify games. Every loss counts against your team. Every division game is magnified. One loss is often the difference between a one seed or a division title. Some games are bigger than others. I'm not going to quibble with you on whether tonight was a big game or not.
  5. Good point but that really doesn't make me feel any better. I know it's week one but I gotta see something that indicates this team is SB caliber. They will have time to prove or disprove themselves.
  6. I did see a lot of Allen with happy feet and not trusting his pocket. Perhaps a more knowledgeable fan can give their assessment.
  7. I get that if that was a one time deal or a rare occurrence. This has been a theme his whole career. So the hero ball reference just doesn't really fly in my eyes. I suspect Allen will always turn over the ball more than others. He is a risk taker. At times there will be big payoffs and vice versa.
  8. Might want to add we need to find a Tim Brady too. Because Allen ain't no Brady.
  9. Yep. I agree. It looked like last year's team. Lots of the same issues. That's what's so disappointing since there was such an emphasis on the new look offense. It was anything but new...
  10. Ok if you say so. Come the end of the season let's see if it was a big game. After this game, as a fan it's hard not to be disappointed in the way the Bills played. Several of last years issues seemingly reappeared tonight. The oline can't stop a quality defense, the love for Cook should be tempered. He's nice but not elite and can't shed a tackle. Allen continues to turnover the ball. A constant theme for years now. Gotta ask if this is who he is aka Farve. Coaching wasn't great tonight. Dline gave up some big runs which is another common theme. Kincaid looked decent but far from what many were implying he's a game changer. Knox was better. Bernard didn't look as bad as I thought. I don't have much confidence in this coaching staff. Dorsey appears to be unable to put a cohesive game plan or make positive adjustments. He seems to call plays on the fly play by play like backyard football. Maybe I'm wrong here but that's my feeling. Coach McD is overrated. I just don't think he can get this team over the hump. With that said, I still thought the Bills were going to win the game once they won the OT toss. He's overpaid and that was a bad deal by Beane.
  11. I know but Mahomes has two rings too. Mahomes is better than Allen by a large margin. That discussion should be mute. Fwiw, Burrow sucked yesterday too.
  12. I don't need no props. I'm pretty pissed off the Bills lost. Tough to swallow an OT loss in that manner when the Bills O had the ball first. So disappointing.
  13. For sure. I appreciate having Allen in a Bills uniform. Just seems like he falls short too often in big games. His turnovers are really bothersome. He wasn't elite or franchise tonight.
  14. I don't think they played scared. I think the Bills coaches failed to make solid adjustments, couldn't handle the Jets Defense, and Allen was sleep walking in the second half. Things will improve but I still have serious doubts this team can represent the AFC. That another story for another time.
  15. They really aren't the answers. They are power backs and the Bills oline is anything but that. The oline got beat in the trenches. It was pretty obvious pre game that the Jets Dline would give the Bills issues. They certainly didn't disappoint. The Bills still look to have issues in the trenches. Hard to win against good teams.
  16. It's been noted here the Bills don't have enough stats and or game changers. It showed tonight. Once the Bills let the Jets hang around it was becoming clear the Jets were going to have a shot at stealing the game without Rodgers. They gave the game away.
  17. Flawed logic here because there's no guarantee the team will thrive at the end of the year. Tonight's game was a microcosm of last year's season.
  18. Accurate here. I made similarities to the Bills and the Chargers. I got hammered for doing so. Week one is over and both teams have poor coaching, blow games, and choke games. Maybe I wasn't so far off. It's early only one game. Not trying to overact but I'm tired of the McD era. The Bills really need a change of the whole coaching staff. I've been saying this much before tonight game.
  19. I'm starting to wonder if Allen is slightly overrated. He is a turnover machine, perhaps struggles to read coverages, and can't win an overtime game. 0- 5.
  20. The Bills D was playing against a terrible back up QB. The Jets run game was pretty good. The loss isn't on the defense but they have a lot to clean up in stopping the run.
  21. Three and put. Pathetic.
