Tua made a few bad throws but otherwise he looks damn good. That offense with Hill and Waddle are dangerous. Gonna be two dogfights with Buffalo.

Steelers got manhandled by the niners. Purdy looks like an all pro. Very impressive on the road in Pitts. -

Since when have I ever rubbed dirt on here? I give my opinions often negative but I never gloat if I'm correct. Often, I'm more wrong than right. You should just stick to the emoji button.

Maybe the public is pounding the Bills. I always cheer for the Bills regardless of my bets. I always want them to win. Losing a little money for a Bills win is worth it to me. I never bet so much that I cheer for the other team.
-
Hope your friend is right. Best scenario for me is the Bills win by 1 or 2 points. The few reports I've seen says the "sharps" are pounding the Jets. They aren't always right either. We will find out soon. I just think the Bills have a lot to overcome on the road on 9/11 in NY. Don't get me wrong the Bills can definitely win the game. They are favored too win it.

Just put $50 on the Jets plus 2.5 points and another $50 on Jets money line. This is a bad spot for the Bills.

Week 1, Bills v. Jets - Predict the Score
newcam2012 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Definitely plausible. Hope that doesn't happen. The game would suck watching. I think the Bills with their talent and experience shouldn't get too rattled. They should be able to keep it close if they lose. -
Week 1, Bills v. Jets - Predict the Score

I see a very tight game here. The Jets D is excellent and they have a good formula to stop the Bills explosive offense. Something has to give. Buffalo has to play really smart on offense. Can't force the deep balls. I'd like for them to establish a good run game and quick short passes. Then take a few shots downfield when needed. Allen has to be posed and accurate. Dorsey has to call a smart game. I believe the Jets Dline is a little too good. I don't see a high scoring game for the Bills. The Jets offense should be better even with an older Rodgers. The Bills don't have anyone to stop Garrett one on one. They have to double him make someone else beat them. I believe they will try to pound the run game. Rodgers will make just enough big plays on 3rd downs. I believe this is the Jets statement game. Their super bowl sort of speak. This game is much bigger for the Jets than Buffalo. Just a little bit too much to overcome for the resilient Bills. They lose a tight one. Jets 23 Bflo 20 -
Perhaps, that's one way of seeing it. Many are saying the Chiefs need an upgrade at the position. That's after seeing the first game. Both arguments have validity. However, it goes completely against your thesis. Stop digging your hole Patrick Duffy. Perhaps you should use a measuring stick while digging. It might help even if you just started digging. 🤔

Really? Care to comment on the KC wide receivers? There's another thread with ample posters talking about their poor WRs. Detroit is feeling really good after that big win. They have to have a huge belief that they can compete and beat anyone after that big win on the road against the champs. Like I said it's one game don't overreact. You still can get valuable information from one game. For what? It's just one game and you can't conclude anything from one game. That seems to be the theme of some in here.

Idiotic post. I stand by what I said. Many are really taking what I said out of context. Apparently, you can't comprehend where I said it's just one game of a long season. No need to overact. Care to comment on that? Does anyone have issues with there will be good and bad things the Bills can learn from the game? I said that too! We fans have a lot to look forward to in this game. Lots of unanswered questions. Lots of unknowns. For example, how will the McD d be? Will it be more aggressive? How will the Oline do? Will Dorsey run different schemes? Run more? How will the newly added WRs do? Kincaid, Cook, Torrence, etc... This first game is pretty big from a phycological point of view. The Bills are the champs and being chased and hunted. It could be a trend setting game. This game is one game but it's also more than one game. A Bills loss of course doesn't mean gloom and doom. I used the term measuring stick. Clearly folks ran with it and took it out of context. Let me clarify. This game should tell us a lot about Torrence and Kincaid. How big of a learning curve is there? Was the coaching staff's game planning, adjustments, and play calling solid? Did the Oline gel? How did MLB Bernard look? You can fill in your own question... To imply this game is meaningless, has no impact on the season going forward, can't be used to evaluate players, coaches, schemes, rookies, etc is pretty naive. That's what I meant when I used the word measuring stick. Hope that clarifies things.

Huh? It will give fans a good measuring stick of the Bills team. I'm sure there will be many good and bad things the Bills will learn from this game. Sure it's one game and no need to overreact because it's a long season. But to say "it really doesn't tell us anything going forward" is inaccurate IMHO.

I agree but why do I feel the Chiefs and Andy Reid will figure it out? In live time, I told my son I feel like I'm watching the Patriots all over again.
-
I think KCs defense is going to be pretty good. That young secondary looks good. They really came into their own in last years playoffs. Also, Nick Bolton looks legit. They need Jones badly. The starting Chiefs front really never got a lot of pressure. It was more DBs blitzing. Correct me if I'm wrong.
-
Rice looked like the best WR out there for KC. Not sure that says much.
-
I guess the next logical question would be do you think the Bills will pay Davis that kind of money? Do you think the Bills need to upgrade the WR2 position? Assuming it's not Kincaid.
-
I agree. He really does his homework. I really like when he talks about the opposing teams players. He gives great insight. That allows me to watch the game in a different and more informed way. Things I wouldn't know what to look for become more obvious and clear.
-
I agree here. However, that was two years ago and Davis has pretty much underwhelmed since then. His short comings are obvious. He still can be effective as a WR3 or 4. I think the Bills need a more consistent reliable and more diverse WR2. Gabe falls short here in my eyes. I'm fine with letting another team overpay for him similar to Edmunds.
-
Great video here. Some fantastic breakdowns and analysis in up coming game.
-
I disagree here. They started out slowly before and figured it out. They won a SB last year with mediocre receivers. I have little doubts the Chiefs won't be the team to beat come season's end.
-
The Chiefs lack offensive weapons after Hill left. It was really amazing how they won a SB with just Kelce as their lone weapon. In the end I think the Chiefs will be the team to beat. Simple: Mahomes + Elite Oline + Andy Reid = Super Bowls. Right now, I'm just going to enjoy the Chiefs loss. I liked every minute of it.
-
That was a fun game. Happy the Chiefs lost.
-
I agree with you on how the Bills offense is likely to succeed. That Jets D looks tough. On the other hand, are you confident the Bills D can stop the Jets O? Who is going to stop Garrett Wilson? Can they stop the three headed Jets running game with consistently? Who is a reliable pass rusher? Will McD have to blitz to create pressure? Will Bernard be exposed? I think the Jets will ask Rodgers to make a few big plays and be a great game manager. Not sure it's enough. I think the Bills on the road against a very hostile crowd will ask Allen to do much more. He will have to scramble and make big plays with his legs and arms. Diggs didn't do anything vs the Jets last season. Another WR is going to have to step up. The running game has to be effective.

Bernard, Torrence and Benford all officially starters
newcam2012 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I want to see Allen hoist the Lombardi Trophy. But I did see him play seven games and 45 plays. Extremely short sample but I saw little to nothing that left me encouraged. I saw nothing that indicates he's close to being a starter. Dopey (fitting name perhaps) what did you see?
