  1. These takes are interesting: What will hurt Tasker moving forward is that special teams is being de-emphasized in today’s NFL. I disagree with Matthew Slater as a HOF player for that reason. Here is a question: If Tasker wasn’t on those great Bills teams would anyone consider him a HOFer?
  2. I am 100 percent in agreement with you on Davis, but in the event Adams gets traded he likely gets thrusted into a starting role. Beyond him you are looking at practice squad/scrap heap types. Even without Adams last year when he missed a few games the Jets were exceptional against the run. If the Jets do one thing well as an organization it’s scout and develop large interior dlineman who can tie up blockers and free up guys like Adams to make a lot of plays in the backfield. Im glad you agree on the Godwin/Adams trade. The sad part about it is the Jets could have drafted Godwin in the first place, but passed on him for Ardarius Stewart.
  3. What are your thoughts? You can certainly make an argument for him, but I think it’s hard to include him. That era in Bills football already has a ton of HOF representation.
  4. We need to get this thing under control and the way to do that is social distancing and contact tracing. I know it sucks, but do you want to see half a million people dead at the end of this?
  5. There was a doctor in Italy that said it was weakening, but Fauchi said there is no way to determine that right now. These guys make a living off their bodies. They definitely don’t want to be exposed to this virus.
  6. I mean the fact that players are testing positive in CFB in other sports before the games are even played is alarming. We just don’t seem ready for this right now as a country.
  7. And how have the Bills/Jets done with consistently good defenses and bottom 5 offenses this decade? How many playoff victories between them?
  8. Id hate that so much and that’s honestly probably what they would do. I feel like it’s fine from 6-32, but teams should have to give up future draft capital to get into top 5 in that format.
  9. I would do it Word Cup style. Have four friendly games where results don’t matter aside from seeding. Then the last two you play your division tourney style. The winner goes to the playoffs.
  10. Dr Fauchi pretty much shot this idea that the virus is weaker down today. There is no evidence that’s the case right now. These politicians are not public health officials. This thing is still out there and until we have it under control you should probably avoid public public places without a mask.
  11. I’m sure the NFL has a number of contingency plans in place. If the infection rate is very low the risk is pretty minimal. The NFL will try to play these games on the moon if they have to before calling it quits.
  12. The league has proven over the years (all the advanced analytics agree) that offense is more important than defense. Will McDermott build an offense capable of being a true contender?
  13. Because its not right. If you land one of top 5 picks you should have to give up future compensation.
  14. How about Adams and Perriman for Godwin? Jets get stud #1 WR, Adams goes back to play for Bowles, Perriman replaces Godwin in Tampa as full time starter.
  15. I could see Gallup and 1st for Adams and a 3rd
  16. I don’t see how the NFL could justify handing a team Trevor Lawrence. I would make the first round compensatory based where teams have to give up future draft assets. It would also allow teams to wave their first round pick and have two in their pocket next year.
  17. You will never find a team where are all 53 players are happy with their contracts. That said Jamal crossed the line with his actions this week. If he truly wanted to stay with the Jets he wouldn’t have done these things. He’s made it so that the Jets would look terrible if they did cave and sign him.
  18. Competent QB play is not easy to find. Ask the Jets, Bills, Dolphins.
  19. He’s got two years left on his contract and he’s seeking 20+MM a year (5MM more than any other safety). Good luck Jamal.
  20. It’s pretty much over for Trump IMO. Biden is winning and the Dems are going to get the Senate. Republicans had their chance and its time to see what the Dems can do with the numbers advantage and the presidency. That brings me to the legacy of Donald Trump. While I think his administration actually did some good things #1. His tax planned allowed for corporations to have success in the US and not get penalized as much as before. This has certainly helped stimulate the economy and create jobs. #2. Unlike his predecessors he didn’t start any wars #3. He took a strong stance on China which I think was personally overdue #4. He tried to reach out directly with North Korea. It didn’t work, but I appreciate the attempt. Unfortunately by all accounts his administration was a complete shitshow. He literally fired all of his top ranking cabinet members within a year (What’s that say about his judgement of character and plan for our country?). His response to COVID-19 has not only endangered the lives of millions, but has embarrassed our nation. Trump can’t get out of office fast enough, but while most will compare his presidency to that of Nixon I actually think it was most similar to Jimmy Carter (one of Trumps biggest detractors). Both were odd candidates loosely qualified for the job, and both ran completely disorganized administrations. I actually think the Carter response to the energy crisis is a very similar comp to the way Trump handled the pandemic.
  21. There is so much recency bias in your statements it’s cringe worthy. Just because a particular matchup hasn’t had meaning in years doesn’t take away from the history of the rivalry. When was the last time Cowboys/Redskins mattered?
  22. Adams is a lot more than just a safety. He’s a chess piece and foundation piece for any defense.
  23. Geez-Didn’t you guys like the sopranos?
  24. 7 years ago he died today. Loyal Jets fan
  25. https://joebiden.com/blackamerica/ Please read this and tell me that this guy isn’t focused on improving the lives of black America. BTW just donated another $1000 to his campaign. I’m walking the walk.
