  1. The second Biden takes office our moral standing in the world is going to skyrocket. Joe has vowed to work with liberal/progressive wing of the party to address these issues head on. One thing about Joe Biden is that he is a man of integrity. Bernie, AOC, and Elizabeth Warren are going to work in hand in hand with Biden, Schumer, and Pelosi to improve the well being of these people and their communities. Soon we will be able to visit Europe again and hold our heads up high as Americans.
  2. The only weakness Jamal has as a player is his hands. Dude can’t catch a cold-he’s probably dropped 4 or 5 interceptions in his career.
  3. Adam Gase is Rex 2.0 and will likely be fired after two seasons as well. You could make arguments that both Rex and Gase deserved a second shot, but it’s never a good look hiring a guy whom just got fired by your divisional rival. I will say that Rex is a far better coach than what he showed in Buffalo. I personally think he was worn out after six seasons in NY and should have taken a year off to re-group. Gase on the other hand just strikes me as a guy who makes the situation worse the second he walks into the building. I have nothing against the guy on a personal level, but he can’t get away from my team fast enough as far as I’m concerned.
  4. I personally think this article is a bunch of hogwash. It’s about finding away to throw to ball that works for you and being able to repeat it consistently. You wouldn’t teach a QB to throw the ball like Philip Rivers, but that’s what works for him. Its also a lot easier to fix these issues (bad footwork, etc) throwing against air or in practice. When the pressure is in your face it’s easy to revert to old habits.
  5. Where did I state I was a better person than you? Us Democrats and Progressives believe that the current state of affairs with regards to living conditions for Black/Brown people in poor/urban communities is unacceptable and needs to improve. A reckoning is coming in November and its name is Joe Biden
  6. Yannick isn’t technically under contract (has to sign his franchise tender). Adams is under contract for two more seasons and the Jets can franchise him in 2022 if they want. He can B word and moan all he wants, but if he wants to play NFL football it’s on the Jets terms.
  7. I’m really doubting there is going to be an NFL season unless they come up with a vaccine or something of the sort.
  8. Adams is a better player than all those guys you mentioned. He played equal snaps at slot CB, S, and OLB and Gregg Williams ran the defense through him. There isn’t anyone other than a Bills fan who would take Micah Hyde over Jamal Adams.
  9. Well if Jamal doesn’t think he can win with the Jets why should the Jets pay him? It’s a two way street-he’s been a part of every loss the past three years. I think hes one of the best defensive players in the NFL. He’s a modern day Troy Polamalu.
  10. Johnson purchased the team in 2000. In the his first 11 seasons the Jets made the playoffs 6 times, won (1) division title, and won 6 playoff games. It was a very good start by Jets standards especially compared to Leon Hess who was a terrible owner. The Jets have gone through a really lean time since 2011 and the Johnson brothers have made some awful hires (Idzik, Bowles, McCagnan, and Gase). With all that said ownership is often overstated and Ralph Wilson is a great example. You don’t consider him a good owner, yet the Bills did go to four straight Super Bowls under his watch.
  11. First of all thanks for the responses My main takeaway is that there have been very few really memorable Jets/Bills games over the years which is hard to fathom. I will say the 2015 week 17 game was among the worst regular season Jets losses I can remember. That team had some talent would have been dangerous in the postseason. I do get the sense that Bills fans are pretty indifferent about that game, because they want to forget about the Rex era.
  12. Hate to say it, but you are 100 percent right. You can’t stand up there like Joe Douglas has preaching how you want to have “the best culture in sports” and have guys like this around. The Jets are 16-32 in Jamal Adams three years with the team. To paraphrase Branch Rickey “I can lose with you I can lose without you”. The Raiders trading Khalil Mack after the draft. Sometimes you misread the situation and have to bite the bullet.
  13. I’m not going to argue that the Bills have the overall better history, but the Jets (along with KC) were the two franchises that get credit for the merger
  14. He signed a contract-he has no leverage.
  15. Jamal is a great player, but the Jets have all the leverage. Plus nobody is going trade for him knowing his contract demands. Would you give up a first round pick (plus whatever else the Jets are asking) for the right to pay a safety 17-18MM per? Maybe 1998 (Doug Flutie if I recall). The Jets beat the Bills on the road in an important December game in a year both teams were good.
  16. It goes beyond the field with the Jets/Pats rivalry. BB absolutely despises the Jets and proceeds to embarrass them any chance he gets. Keep in mind that Spygate was set off by the Jets and deflate gate by the Colts. I think those two are tops for them.
  17. The Jets and Raiders were certainly rivals in the AFL days and have matched up a bunch in the modern NFL as well.
  18. Its a little different for the Jets given the BB/Parcells history and also Mangini. The Jets also played NE twice in playoffs during Brady era and beat them once. I would think the Pats may view Jets as number one.
  19. I just don’t see how Buffalos history against the Jets comes close to the Raiders.
  20. I actually have always liked Bills fans in my interactions when I was a Jets season ticket holder. How can you hate someone from Buffalo?
  21. I actually view the Raiders as more of a hated rival for the Jets than the Bills. Its crazy, but despite being in the same division and both in the AFL there just isn’t much of a history between both teams. The only playoff meeting was in 1981. Im old enough to remember OJ Simpson running a muck through the Jets, but given the Jets were a joke in the 70s I didn’t really care. Same deal with the Kelly/Levy era. It seems like when the Jets are up the Bills are down and vice versa with a lot of instances of both teams being bad sprinkled in. Jets most hated rivals: 1) Dolphins 2) Pats 3) Raiders 4) Colts 5) Giants
  22. Do you not believe that everyone born into this world should have the same opportunities? Same basic human rights? That is the main things that progressives are out there fighting for in the capital everyday. Unfortunately the morality of most politicians (especially republicans) leaves a lot to be desired. This movement is about invoking morality on the general population. Years from now I’m going to be considered on the right side of things just as those who stood tall will MLK in the 60s and the abolishinists (sp) in the 1800s.
  23. The difference between brown and black communities and white communities is that funding goes to police (to keep brown/black people down) as opposed to infrastructure and schools. AOC has been talking about this for years if you listen.
  24. And why are they living in hell holes? Everybody should have a quality home just like everyone should have access to health care and clean drinking water. Instead of spending tax solllars to fund racist cops we should be pouring money into these communities to improve residents quality of life.
