Why are Black and Brown people targeted by police? Why is our system comprised of the have and have nots? We need real social change and reckoning of our countries moral compass.

If we don’t protect society’s most vulnerable what’s that say about us as a nation?

Spreading the word of the most enlightened active political figure is all. If AOC was president our moral standing in the world would be far greater than it is today.

I know Im going to get roasted for saying this, but don’t the Bills need to beat a good team before being considered a very good organization? What was their signature win last year? Tennessee w/ Mariota? Dallas on Thanksgiving and SNF @ Pitt were good wine, but those teams both had down years. On paper the Bills are a prime regression candidate, because they aren’t going to get 5 games against the four worst teams in the league again. Most of the Jets beat writers think BB would win the division with high school team so don’t take it personally. It remains to be seen if they are right, and hopefully we find out.

In normal years the Bills would be a prime regression candidate due to the challenging schedule. What I think Costello needs to factor in is that there are multiple paths to the playoffs this year since the division is also up for grabs.

Teachers are paying out of pocket for school supplies, yet police are given extra tanks. Budgets convey priorities. We should question ours.

And how many wins does Barkley lead the Bills to against that schedule?

Id say there is a 10-15 percent the Bills/Pats finish last and a 35-40 percent chance the Jets/Dolphins finish last.

This is out of the NFLs control. The virus is going to dictate things.

You hope the backup QB doesn’t play, but if he does he becomes very important. I feel much better about Joe Flacco than Matt Barkley.

Well you have to admit that the Bills have far and away the worst backup QB situation in the division. If Allen goes down, good luck with Barkley and Fromm.

It amazes me why fans care about their stuff. If you want to read about the greatness of Josh Allen and the Bills there are plenty of outlets to do so. Costello makes some good points, but it’s just an op-ed. This is the NFL-there are so many examples of teams that you thought would be good that end up stinking.

A lot of these cops are pawns in all this. I blame the municipalities and department leadership whom view good police work as number of arrests/citations issued. Unlike housing/social programs municipalities make some money back off cops. Take the situation in GA for example. That kid didn’t need to be arrested. Leave the car in the parking lot and tell him to find his way home.

I feel like as much as the NFL wants to play these games its still no lock. What happens if players start getting sick? These guys are around each other all the time. Are we going to quarantine teams?

We have gotten to a point where it is now appropriate for public companies to support the BLM movement. Three years ago when the kneeling started BLM was not nearly as mainstream and considered somewhat radical/controversial. Goodell and the NFL owners are no different than Jeff Bezos and Amazon. They will absolutely still do business with the military and police departments (security in stadiums), but feel we are at a point in which support of the movement is now necessary in the eyes of the public. Again-the whole kneeling situation a couple of years ago was blown completely out of proportion and just provided more evidence as to how out of touch NFL owners were. In a league where roughly 70 percent of the players are young black men they should have embraced it from the beginning.

Its not going away, but there is nothing to be done at this point. One of the doctors on Meet The Press today flat out said that the exposure is too great in the US to eradicate it and it will take a vaccine to rid ourselves of it.

It’s looking like MLB is going to have to cut their season by 60-70%. If that happens in the NFL how would you feel about it? Personally I think it’s a major stretch to crown a championship in that format. I would definitely eliminate the wild card and divisional rounds of the playoffs and have every team play extra games with the final four moving on.

I’m over this dumb debate. How about they stand for the near 200k people who are going to be dead from COVID-19 by the time the season starts or the health care workers whom saved countless lives Players can stand, kneel, sit, or lay down for all I care. Under the new rules Goodell/The NFL can pretty much do whatever they want. The Jets boards are brutal. You get banned instantly for saying anything negative about Sam Darnold.

Those guys played with great talent, but also played against great talent. Tua and Burrow played with an NFL roster against Vanderbilts defense.

Tua and Burrow to me are difficult to evaluate in the sense that the talent they played with far exceeded anyone else in CFB. Take Tua for example: RB-Josh Jacobs-1st round pick OL-Jonah Williams, Jedrick Wills-first round picks WR-Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs-first round pick Next year Alex Leatherwood, Jaylen Waddle, and Devonta Smith are projected first round picks. Alabama has more talent on offense than the Jets and Dolphins.

Didn’t he fail a field sobriety test? Even if he gets off on DUI the NFL could still suspend him a few games under the new rules.

I don’t think the Bills will likely ever have a top 10 offense under McDermott by design. His formula is defense/ball control. In today’s NFL you need to throw the ball around to have a top 10 offense. Your point is valid-top 10 offense doesn’t mean you are going to win football games.
