  1. Hmm. You may be right Luka. Back to the drawing board.
  2. 2017-04-26 7:15 AM | Jake Hamilton Bills Today: Savage takes final crack at QB class Here's the Bills news of note for April 26th. 1. Savage takes final crack at QB class Phil Savage: "One final once over" Share: Former Cleveland Browns general manager, Phil Savage joined The John Murphy show to talk about the upcoming NFL draft, and his assessment of the 2017 quarterback class had a twist to what most are saying. Savage is currently the executive director of the Reese's Senior Bowl, which takes place in late January each year. It affords him an up close look at some of the best prospects in the draft. As we get closer to the NFL draft, Savage gave us his perspective on the incoming class of quarterbacks and where he thinks they will go. "I think it will be Mitchell Trubisky and Deshaun Watson that go for sure in the first round," Savage said. "Then I do think it'll be one of these developmental type quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes, Davis Webb or Deshone Kizer." Savage does agree with most NFL talent evaluators that the quarterback class is lacking sure fire prospects. "In all honesty guys, I do think this is a very mediocre quarterback class," he said. Where Savage's opinion deviated some from most NFL draftniks came with respect to Mitchell Trubisky and DeShaun Watson. "I do think that Trubisky is probably seen as the best option but I personally like Deshaun Watson better," he stated. "I think if you're taking one of them in the first round ultimately, he's going to be on the field this year at some point. I just think Deshaun with his mentality, intangibles, the leadership, he has incredible drive to want to be a pro quarterback, he's been seen on the biggest of stages, he can handle the media. I think he'll handle the job better." RELATED: MOCK DRAFT WATCH 9.0 2. Rapoport: Bills "might" be calling about potential trade up. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport recently appeared on Good Morning Football to talk about the approaching NFL Draft. When discussing the second overall pick, which is currently held by the San Francisco 49ers, there is speculation that they may take a quarterback but there is also interest from other teams to trade up to that spot. "Well, there are several teams Kay that have already made calls, paving the way for a potential trade up," he said. "It is all the teams that you would think, It's all the teams that have done the considerations for possibly taking a quarterback. "It would be a team like the New York Jets for instance, a team like the Buffalo Bills possibly, a team like the Cleveland Browns." Rapoport speculates. He then went on to say that it could be for quarterbacks Mitchell Trubisky, Deshaun Watson or Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is the true wild car quarterback prospect in this year's draft.
  3. Of those 5 Solomon Thomas is the only one I would want. He'll be gone though. If he's not there, I have a hunch it's QB. This off-season has been so tight lipped, no one really knows what McDermott wants......because that's who is making the pic.
  4. Didn't think i would like it, but I could see him in a Bills uni. Serious question about Watson. His arm strength is his biggest negative, right? Can that be improved enough to be enough for Buffalo in December- January? Another negative is footwork, but I would imagine that is easily corrected, right? What other negatives does he have? He was 33 - 3 and 2 national championships and 2 Hesismans? That's insane.
  5. Why am I getting a feeling that Watson is going to be the pick? Had the same feeling multiple drafts and I was right. Not sure how I feel about that, but I'm guessing Solomon Thomas is 1b and Watson is 1a. Just a hunch. After meeting him in person, Pegs and McDermott would love the kid.

  7. I like 1, 2, and 4. Would like to see a QB in 3 and 5.

  9. I'm starting to think Leroi's list is a smokescreen. Those just cannot be the top 5 guys on the Bills list at 10. Very mediocre list in my opinion.
  10. Tryrod is just not going to cut it. He's a great athlete and an OK qb. I want more than than. I'm guessing the Bills do take a qb if Trubisky, Watson, or Mahomes are there at 10. Why is a terrible move to take a QB at 10, but it's perfectly fine to take one at 18 - 32? If you target a qb as an NFL caliber starting QB, then take him when you can.
  11. Here's a quick little vid with his offensive coordinator and Kyle. I read somewhere that he transferred from Southern Miss: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brzC8dBeu0o
  12. Born: February 7, 1994 (age 23 years) Height: 6′ 4″ Weight: 214 lbs
  13. Northern Colorado QB. Read somewhere that the Bills like him. Thoughts?
  14. The draft is like Christmas for a kid. The days leading up to it are sometimes better than the day of. What are your thoughts on the supposed 5 guys we are looking at at 10? I hope they aren't the real 5.
  15. Is Blokes an insider or a draft guru? Are we really down to Solomon, Davis, Lattimore, Howard, and Ross? I'm not excited for any of them.
  16. I have to agree with jeffismagic. I'd rather take a chance on Mahomes than those 5 guys at 10 that Leroi posted. I can think of 5 other non QB guys I'd rather have at 10 than those guys. Thomas, Lattimore, Davis, Howard, and Ross.
  17. Thoughts on TJ Logan RB - North Carolina
  18. I know they say that about Howard, but I just see bust. Reminds me of all the hype for that TE that Detroit took years ago. He never lived up to the hype either.
  19. I don't get the hype for OJ Howard. Analysts question Mahomes but isn't Howard just a top athlete? May be able to get Evan Engram in Rd. 2 and he may be better.
  20. You don't think Barnett is top 10 talent? He outplayed Garrett this year and had 10 or more sacks every year he played.
  21. Is he on Leroi's list of potential picks?
  22. What's the earliest he will go in the draft? 3, 4, 5.....UDFA? I have a bad feeling that Belichek would draft him.
  23. Barnett is a beast. I would like the pick.
  24. You guys are tough. Maybe you will like this interview. My speakers must be bad because it's tough to make the audio out. http://theeagleswire.usatoday.com/2016/08/09/cedric-oneal-is-handling-transition-to-nfl-smoothly/
  25. Agreed, but having replacements already on the roster helps.
