  1. 5' 10" - 215 lbs. Went to Valdosta State. Made it to Philly's last cut. Has 1 year experience. Could be another reason Gillislee was expendable. https://youtu.be/uN6ZddWhPg8
  2. The Bills could "pass" on a QB in the first 3 rounds, trade down a few times to get more picks, and still draft the best QB in the draft in round 4 or 5.
  3. Has there been any rumors, inside info, or otherwise showing the Bills like him? I would love the pick.
  4. 4/22 - 9:40pm. They are on pick 8 in first round if you are interested. Cool to remember how it went. NFL Network.
  5. Good point. There have been no leaks since McDermott started.
  6. Saw this on CBS Sports. Guy did a mock draft where the Browns traded #12 to get #2 from the 49ers, and got Myles Garrett and Mitch Trubisky and no extra round 1 pick. Could the Bills make a similar trade with the 49ers? If they targeted him as a franchise type QB they will. Browns get #2. 49ers get: No. 12 overall pick (18.8, 1,200) No. 33 overall pick (12.3, 580) No. 108 overall pick (4.8, 78) 2018 second-round pick (TBD, TBD)

  8. In some write-up (not sure where I read it) they said that Belichek changed his thinking on the draft and players in general. With the immaturity of players and the years it takes to develop into real NFL players, BB feels it makes sense to put players on the roster that already get it and are proven.
  9. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000204027/article/new-bills-gm-doug-whaley-integral-in-ej-manuel-pick New Bills GM Doug Whaley integral in EJ Manuel pick By Chris Wesseling Around the NFL Writer The Buffalo Bills raised plenty of eyebrows after taking EJ Manuel with the No. 16 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, making him the first quarterback to go off the board. New general manager Doug Whaley isn't shy about taking ownership of the pick, even if he was second-in-command to Buddy Nix at the time. "I was an integral part in the drafting process of EJ Manuel," Whaley said on NFL Network's "NFL Total Access" on Thursday. "I was the person that handled the draft process and setting up the board." Whaley did allow that it was a "collaborative effort" between area scouts, cross-checkers, coach Doug Marrone and Nix, but the new front-office boss is comfortable with hanging his hat on Manuel after vetting the quarterback in the pre-draft process. "We have a philosophy that the information makes the decision," Whaley explained. "We think that we did enough due diligence, and the information pointed us all to this point that EJ would be the guy we feel will take the Buffalo Bills into the future." Whaley's confidence is refreshing after Nix seemed to be in over his head while running the show for three and a half years. According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Whaley is a "bright young star" who has impressed colleagues with his smarts and personnel acumen in his time with the Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bills finally seem pointed in the right direction. It now falls on Whaley's hand-picked franchise quarterback to end the longest active playoff drought in the NFL
  10. Kizer thinks he'll be the best ever. Is this an April fool's joke? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000801281/article/kizer-i-can-be-greatest-qb-to-ever-play-combo-of-cam-and-brady
  11. Well, that IS what I was comparing it to.
  12. This could similar to missing out on Roethlisberger by a few picks. If the Browns move up, they have the ammunition, but how far would they go up? Would the Bills move up, and how far would they move up, and what would they have to give up? Obviously this depends on if either the Browns or Bills really would take a QB in the top 12 picks. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000801180/article/will-browns-trade-up-over-bills-to-get-mitch-trubisky
  13. Not sure how you would do this, but it would be interesting to see all of the quality (Pro Bowl?) quarterbacks that the Bills have passed over since Jim Kelly retired. Here is a link to ALL quarterbacks drafted in the NFL: http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?type=position
  14. I should have included Peppers above. Not sure I like him, but he would be an ideal fit in this D. Related to the original post....."Mahomes senses heightened interest from Texans O'Brien"....http://www.nfl.com/labs/rr/pathtothedraft/mahomes
  15. I like Trubisky. I used to really like Mahomes, but recent interviews I've seen make him seem arrogant. Maybe that's a good characteristic for a QB, but I want to like our franchise QB. Every year it seems we Bills fans talk the draft to death, and somehow we hone in on the pick. This year I'm feeling like it's Trubisky, Derek Barnett, or Reddick.
  16. Trubisky, Mahomes, and Watson. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000800949/article/2017-nfl-draft-how-many-quarterbacks-will-go-in-the-first-round
  17. on buffalobills.com: Corry weighs in on Gillislee offer sheet On Tuesday afternoon the New England Patriots signed Bills RB Mike Gillislee to a two-year offer sheet worth a reported $6.4M with a $4M figure in the first year of the deal. It’s a deal former NFL agent and CBSSports.com NFL analyst Joel Corry doesn’t see Buffalo matching. Corry, in an appearance on the John Murphy Show, said that the Patriots, like any other team, tried to make the deal cost prohibitive to match. “You always do that,” said Corry. “That’s what the Bills did to get Charles Clay from Miami as a transition player. The Bills had a balloon payment in the second year so Miami couldn’t match. You do it by design where you front load them or put a lot of guaranteed money in there to discourage the team from matching the offer.” When asked if he thought it would be wise for the Bills to match the Gillislee offer sheet, Corry doesn’t believe it makes sense. “No, I think that ship has sailed,” said Corry. The Bills would add a fifth-round pick to their current lot of six draft choices in the 2017 draft if they ultimately choose not to match. In a draft that is uncommonly deep, including the running back position, perhaps it was Buffalo’s intent to have another team try to sign Gillislee in the hopes of adding another draft choice. It would give Buffalo three fifth-round picks next week.
  18. I'm guessing the Bills had no intention on signing Mike. They wanted the pick all along. Why would they try signing the Saints RB if they wanted Gillislee?
  19. This guy probably does have something to do with wanting the pick over the player https://youtu.be/NSQBZWUznSI
  20. Bet one of those 5ths is Chad Kelly. Trade down in the first twice, and they will have tons of picks.
  21. Bills should have placed the franchise tag on him, because then we would have 2 first round picks!
  22. Here's a solid replacement for him. Not sure where he will go, but I suspect he'll slide past our new 5th round pick (if they don't match). Sameje Perine. 5'10" 235 lb. bull. https://youtu.be/0-hxd55alKE
  23. Why is everyone assuming this isn't exactly what the Bills wanted? More draft picks. If they put the 2nd round tender on him, he would be a Bill because no team would have given up a 2nd for him. At 6 carries per game, perhaps Whaley and McDermott think he can be replaced by JWs or an UDFA RB from the best RB class in years. So they get a back as an UDFA or pick one up with their last pick in the draft.
  24. Who would you rather go against twice a year? Gillislee, Blount, or Peterson? I think Whaley had no intention of resigning him and wanted that 5th round pick. He knew no one would give us a 2nd round pick, do went with the 5th round tender. I expect a big back to be drafted, like Da'Onta Foreman or Conner.
