  1. Douglas, Poyer, Hyde, Benford. Coach has plenty of talent in the secondary
  2. People seem to also forget, Philly made the kick harder on themselves with Penalties than the Bills defense did.
  3. This all makes sense to me.
  4. Cook didn't show up yesterday. He ran to avoid contact, rather than work for a first down, on one of his first runs from scrimmage. Cook had 16 carries yesterday. 2.7 Yards per carry. The Bills put up 34 points on Josh Allen's back. More playing time for Cook would not have changed the 34 point performance. The defense folded in the fourth quarter. People are over complicating things.
  5. Miami is three games ahead of the Bills in the loss column. The don't need to run the table. This is the Dolphins remaining schedule Commanders (below 500) Titans (Below 500) Jets (Below 500) Cowboys (above 500) Ravens (above 500) Bills (above 500) If the Bills win 5 in a row, I would say they have a 50/50 chance to win the division.
  6. Allen was so much better than Hurt yesterday, that Hurt should be out of the conversation.
  7. Is this Coach McD's burner account? It is his MO to explain past events for current failures.
  8. I have numerous posts explaining how it is likely over, even if the Bills win out. I am just pointing out that in the event the Bills do win out, they will likely need the Ravens to beat the Dolphins for them
  9. Work your simulator magic, to show how the Bills get into the playoffs ahead of all of the Browns, Broncos, Steelers, Colts and Titans. If the Dolphins finish 12-5 and or better, 11-6 Bills will lose tiebreakers in almost every scenario. Show a realistic scenario, where the Dolphins are 12-5, The Bills 11-6, and the Bills get in as a wildcard. Otherwise you are posting out of your hat.
  10. Going into week 17, it is a near certainty, the Ravens will have clinched a playoff spot, and almost a near certainty they will have clinched the division. And somewhere around a 50/50 chance they will have the #1 seed locked up. Assuming the Bills win out, they still most likely need to win the division to advance to the playoffs. To win the division, in addition to the Bills beating the Dolphins, they need the Dolphins to lose two other games. Based on talent level, the Ravens and Cowboys are the most likely teams to beat the Dolphins. The Cowboys will be motivated to beat the Dolphins at the time they play. The Ravens may be faced with the following situation, beat the Dolphins and play the very hot Bills team (scenario is the Bills win out) as a playoff opponent. Or rest the team up and face the Dolphins as a playoff opponent. This would be an interesting decision for Harbaugh. The most speculative part of this scenario is the Bills winning out. And there is other speculation. But aside from the Bills winning out, I think this game will likely be the most critical non-Bills game left on the schedule.
  11. Ah, clever job security strategy for the HC.
  12. Bills beating Miami, and Miami losing to any two other teams is the Bills only realistic chance. You have identiified the most likely two other losses, but we can pray for upsets.
  13. This is the result of the Bills winning out, and the likely favorite winning all of the other games.

  15. Offense scored 34. Excellent performance Defense gave up 37. Crap performance
  16. Players are McDermott is put in a position to win week in and week out. Fixed it for you.
  17. Goodnight all. After more than 50 years of Bills fandom, I think the Bills have finally broken me. Its ridiculous to be as upset as I am about a stupid game.
  18. Its not a coin flip. its less than 20% likely statistically, unless the 8-3 Dolphins win only 2 more games.
  19. we only have five games left.
  20. Playoffs are out of reach, barring winning five in a row.
  21. I would like to nominate this for post of the year. (note- I bolded the parts that make this post deserve post of the year honors)
  22. Beane built a team to peak last season. It didn't work. This season was a wing and a prayer with an aging secondary and hoping ACLs tears fully recovered for a CB and your main Pass Rusher. Competent coaching might have made due with the the wing and prayer. But the Bills head coach is stale and figured out. Every team in the NFL has a 2 minute script to beat the Bills and it works every single time this year. But other than the GMs for the chiefs and the eagles. Its not clear that there are any dramactically better GMs in the league.
