  1. I hope we can put together for ever the BPA myth and realize all teams include need and positional value in putting together their boards. ( regardless of my hopes in real life there is no way to do me a football myth)
  2. The offense seems to move pretty well between the twenties. Fewest punts in the league. it’s not clear Knox needs to be more involved in that aspect. It’s not broken (exception of to this rule is a possible small reduction in wearing Josh Allen out). The issue for the entire team is the same, translating all of this brilliant regular season success into playoff wins. In the 2022 playoffs Knox was the rare exception to the rule. He had a fine game against the Bengals 5 rec on 7 targets for 65 yards. His past playoff record is fine as well. Knox is fine.
  3. Sanders is good. He played against better competition. This is true. But Campbell can only play against who he played against, and did it with great success. And athletically he is exactly on par with Sanders. Both can be good players. They are close enough that it is ridiculous to say one can project either to have significantly greater success than the other.
  4. I am not sure. Maybe Mel Kiper doesn't like him.
  5. There are a number of posters who post condescending "good teams always draft BPA". When if fact there is no certainity who the BPA is, and no team actually ingores positional value and need. A true slave to BPA draft would likely be a disaster. I like this websites way of showing each teams realistic targets at each pick. https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/nfl-draft-targets-2023?team=BUF Much more realistic way to think about it.
  6. Campbell was the best in the nation in pass coverage among all college LBs in 2022. Why will he be a liability?
  7. This is so funny. Josh should go into show business.
  8. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/2023-nfl-draft-industry-consensus-big-board/ Pro Football Network has compiled an industry big board, consolidating the results of 25 of the major big boards created in the cottage industry that follows the draft. Premise 1) 25 big boards is a meaningfully proxy for how a team of scouts would grade out the players in the Draft Premise 2) Every team sticks to BPA at every draft spot Obvisouly neither premise 1 or premise 2 is gong to happen. In this scenario the Bills get an RB at pick 59. They would also get an RB at 91, so I made the one small adjustment to go to pick 92. But if these are proxies for people being slaves to board, this is the draft the Bills would have. I am not a fan.
  9. i would rather take Wright. But I think if they take an LB, Beregon could be drafted at 59, or easily drafted with a modest tradeup, and I think Beregon maybe just as good of a prospect. Pass on LB with the first pick, and you are not likely getting a starting LB in this draft. So I could undertand an LB pick.
  10. Same websites only have 3 LBS graded as a top 100 pic You pick, campbell , Simpson, or Sanders, or you pick a guy most people never expect to be an NFL starter. Thats the dilmemma.
  11. Lamar and his mom are people
  12. Hence my comment “if the right guys are there “
  13. Texans take Stroud and JSN I think Mahomes Allen and Burrows are all as gifted as Tom Brady. Brady scary weapons were Gronk and unheralded slot receivers. Brady always had a good line in championship years. Oline is the key of the right guys are there. Diggs KNox Davis and the new tiny WR will all be scary if Allen has time.
  14. Currenlty PFF ranks Wright #70 overall. Taking #70 at #27 is an F. I don't know if they will update these rankings at somepoint. They rank Dawand Jones and M. Beregon higher than Wright. The grading just sees someone taking the third best remaining OT 43 picks earlier than expected. Its logically internally consistent.
  15. I never said Lawrence was an MVP. I said I would rather have Lawrence than Jackson as my QB.
  16. 167 WR votes exceed TE votes by 7:1. There seems to be a clear board consenus on this subject. https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/246531-which-position-group-should-the-bills-target-in-draft-rd-1-based-on-bills-depth-chart-as-of-319202/#comment-8323705
  17. Patrick Mahomes Josh Allen Joe Burrows Aaron Rodgers Jalen Hurts Trevor Lawrence Justin Hebert Those are the seven I would rather have as my QB.
  18. Anderson made Wright a lot of money with that statement.
  19. My point was pretty good chance Bergeron is gone at 59. I do think one of Bergeron or Joe Tippman is available at 59. I would be very happy with either
  20. position coaching matters. See Josh Allen for a recent case study.
  21. This highlights the biggest complexity in evaluating college talent. Certainly for amateurs and I expect is a primary separator from the top scouts in the NFL and the other scouts in the NFL: the disparate talent levels at QB and Coaching in College. JSN caught passes from a QB who is presumed to be one of the most NFL ready QBs in the NFL. Johnston caught passes from a QB who may very well not be drafted. As an analogy most of us are quite sure Dawson Knox is held back by Ken Dorsey. But we also judge Knox's underlying talent based on having one of the best QB in the NFL throwing too him. We don't know what Knox would like like with Reid Mahomes. Nor do we know what he would look like with Derek Carr or Kenny Pickett throwing him passes. Johnston's college production levels are pretty mediocre. One would really have to assume he was held back in college to take him with a top 10 or 15 pick, IMO. We do know that in a good system JSN can generate a high level of production. We also know that Garret Wilson who looked good with Zach Wilson/Mike White came from the same program. Hard for me to imagine taking Johnston ahead of JSN. (Unless injury concerns for JSN are high)
  22. The only team reported to have a pre-draft interview with Bergeron is the Chiefs. Certainly doesn't mean he is their top pick. But they seem to have a tackle need, and if Wright is gone before 31, the Chiefs could very well take him.
