I'd go for two if I'm the second team, one if I'm the first team. If I'm the first team, I want the ability to win with a FG, so I'm hoping for a third possession.
-
It's fine the way it is. The team who gets the ball second had the advantage of knowing what they need to do. The team that goes first has the advantage of winning in sudden death if it gets to a third possession.

Right. His drafting has been solid, but that isn’t the standard. If the goal is hurdling Kansas City, you have to compare what Beane has done to what Veach has done. Kincaid, Cook, Torrence, and Bernard aren’t on the level of Rice, Pacheco, McDuffie, Karlaftis, Chenal, Cook, etc. My point isn’t that the Bills roster is bad. They’ve been one of the best teams in the league over the past several years. My point is that you can’t compare what Beane has given McDermott to what Veach has given Reid and say that McDermott deserves to be fired if he can’t get past the Chiefs. Reid started with a better roster, and Veach has supplemented that roster with better draft picks.

Remember when Buffalo traded the pick that was used to draft Mahomes to Kansas City because McDermott couldn’t draft a QB until Beane got there? The Bills weren’t outcoached last year in the playoffs. They were punched in the face by a team that was bigger, faster, and stronger than they were. I totally disagree with the notion that Beane has built a Super Bowl caliber roster over the past three seasons. Given that this thread is about hurdling KC, when is the last time Beane drafted better than Veach? The disparity in drafting over the last 3 years is enormous.

I will never understand why McDermott catches so many of the arrows when Beane keeps hamstringing him with lesser players. Three years ago, Beane drafted Epenesa and Basham, Veach drafted Bolton and Humphrey. A year later, Buffalo needed a CB. Beane let KC jump him to take McDuffie while Buffalo traded up for Elam. Then Kansas City still drafted Karlaftis a few picks later. Last year, Buffalo needed a pass catcher, so Beane traded up for Kincaid in the first round. Kansas City traded up for Rice in the second round. You can’t expect McDermott to outcoach Andy Reid. He’s a HOF coach. If you’re going to beat him, you have to have equal or better talent, and Beane has been getting outmaneuvered year after year on draft day by their biggest obstacle. Even this year, they’re going into the draft with only two picks in the first two days of the draft because Beane had to trade away a third round pick for a CB whose about to turn 30. I just don’t see how this is a failing of coaching when the GM is getting schooled every April.

Speaking of that, Beane should seriously consider trading up in the draft if he’s targeting a WR. Kansas City has shown that they are willing to jump Buffalo in order to grab the guy they want.
-
He also had 12 fumbles.
-
So Houston wants to bring in a guy who has forced his way out of two organizations to mentor their young, talented WRs? Not buying that.

Aka low-positive.

What are your feelings on James Cook RB1

This was true in the 2022 season. He was much better in that regard last year. -

He had 2 TDs and 4 fumbles. Yards from RBs don’t decide games. TDs and turnovers do. Very little of what happens between the 20s matters. -
Get excited... change is NOW with a youth wave!!!

He’ll be 26 in April and has 10 combined tackles in his 2 year career. How has he built such a fan base? -
True, but I think the relative advantages favor a defense that has DBs who can rush the passer and a creative DC.
-
That formation makes you vulnerable to blitzes. It’s easy for the defense to disguise where the extra rusher is coming from since the CBs are lined up closer to the QB.
-
What's your point? If it's that we need better mental health treatment in this country, I'm with you.

Right so the $330 million of extra revenue amounts to roughly $10 million per team. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have increased in value by more than 100% ($2.2 billion) since winning the Superbowl in 2019. As long as they can keep this up for 220 seasons, that's a break even for the Pegulas. Josh hits that TD pass, the Bills win, and the Chiefs still cover the spread. Why did he intentionally dirt it?

Cool story. Show us the betting slips where you put your life savings on Kansas City for the fourth straight game since you know it's rigged.

He's from KC. His dad was the Offensive Coordinator for the Chiefs. -

Yet KC has had 3 TDs called back on penalties and another overturned by a review in the last 5 playoff games. Nobody ever cares to bring that up, though. -

Ravens, Chiefs, and 49ers were the top three scoring defenses this season. -
Nobody is putting "them" above any of those guys. La Porta is easily above TJ, though. Kincaid had a nice rookie season, but nobody is confusing 700 yards and 2 TDs with 900 yards and 10 TDs. They've basically done the same thing the Bengals did except they didn't draft a stud QB, so it won't really matter.
