  1. If/when the Bills win the Super Bowl they would have to close every business for that Monday in WNY. People would be partying all night long. Getting up for work the next day would be almost impossible.
  2. I can't see the players going for that. They already hate playing on Thursdays. I get it that the league doesn't care but that is an extremely short week from Sunday to Wednesday. On the top on the injuries playing games in such a short time span, is that really enough time for coaches to game plan, practice etc etc etc
  3. You have 364 other days for those entertainment options. For them to host the Super Bowl with the home team playing in it they should have had better numbers. Even with all the people going out to watch the game.
  4. It will be interesting to see how the USFL does this spring especially if there is no baseball. It will never get to the level of the NFL or CFB but maybe it draws enough interest to where we get football each spring. At the very least it would provide a nice football fix until the NFL starts up again.
  5. LA is Lakers and Dodgers town. It was never a great NFL market. The Rams left for St. Louis and the Raiders went back to Oakland. What does that tell you. As was already mentioned the league already made its money so they don't care.
  6. Anyone who stuck by this team in the 70's, 84-85, and the 17 straight playoff less seasons isn't losing interest now.
  7. If the league doesn't want it to be an embarrassing night for the Rams they might pick the Cardinals. A divisional rival who is a good team but whose fanbase wouldn't take over the stadium and make the Rams feel like the road team. The Cowboys, 49ers, and Bills fans would take over the place. Imagine the Rams celebrating the unveiling of their championship banner and the crowd mostly booing them.
  8. I know he is set for life financially ( assuming he is smart with his money) but he will be in line for another massive contract. Hard to walk away from that. If health issues are starting to become a concern or wanting to spend more time with the family then I could see walking away. Aside from those 2 things I can't see him retiring.
  9. For me I get up at 6:00 A.M. to get ready for work so those night games make the next day a drag. I deal with it like everyone else has to. I agree with you give me the majority of their games at 1:00.
  10. While I have nothing against primetime games as its nice to see the Bills get national attention, I actually prefer 1:00 for the Bills. Maybe that's what I am used to but 1:00 feels like Bills time. That said I expect the Bills to get 4 prime time games next season. I would say the KC game and one of the NE games are a lock for primetime.
  11. The worst non-call was on what should have been offensive PI on the Bengals that gave them the TD to start the 2nd half.
  12. I would say Dallas and SF are the favorites. Don't rule out the Cardinals. Good team who is also a divisional rival. Bills will open on Sunday at 1:00 probably against the Jets for the 10,000 time.
  13. Buffalo isn't LA when it comes to football. LA is weak with a phony fair weather fanbase. Buffalo is a football mad city with some of the best fans in the league.
  14. No not at all. Now that the Bills are a legit Super Bowl contender I would say I am as interested as ever. It sucked during those 17 playoff less seasons but even then I was always as a diehard fan. I could do without the social issues and politics the NFL tries to shove down our throat but otherwise I love the game.
  15. If the allegations are true then Ross should be removed as owner. For entirely different reasons so should Snyder. I am surprised he is still owner of the Skins, WFT, Commando's or whatever they are calling themselves today.
  16. Wouldn't this thread be better after seeing what FA and the draft look like?
  17. I could see them saving Bills at Chiefs for later in the year. I am guessing the Bengals probably get SNF since they were in the Super Bowl. The Bills went to the AFCCG last year and everyone (myself included) thought they would open week 1 on primetime. Look what happened Steelers at Bills 1:00
  18. Exactly. Making the playoffs is no longer the goal. Same for winning the division. The pressure is on McDermott and Beane to deliver a championship.
  19. Even though LA isn't a great football market I don't think they will have trouble selling out the stadium. It seemed like every Rams and Chargers game had a decent amount of visiting fans. I imagine that will always be the case as a road trip to LA will always be a popular. I can't wait to see the Bills there next season. I bet at least half the crowd will be wearing Bills blue.
  20. The Cowboys are the still the Cowboys when it comes to ratings. That is why they get a lot of primetime games even in years when the team isn't that great.
  21. Didn't Barry Sanders retire while he was still in his prime?
  22. It will be interesting to see what Beane does this offseason. The Bills will be one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl. But there are issues that need fixing mostly on defense if they are going to win it all. And draft picks. Didn't they give up a lot to acquire the players that they did?
  23. They went all in for the Lombardi this year and it paid off. But tough times are definitely coming for them. I don't think they will care as they got their championship.
