  1. You can play this silly game with everyone. “Josh Rosen inexplicably fell from being possible #1 overall to the 4th QB off the board. That’s his fuel.” “Lamar Jackson was a Heisman-Winning QB who was asked to change position, drafted after college QB’s who didn’t accomplish half of what he did”
  2. My pick for the 2nd round is Joe Burrow. Think of the value!
  3. Some folks forget that if Brady went #1 overall instead of in the 6th round, he’d still be the greatest of all time. McD didn’t believe Tyrod would continuously improve. McBeane didn’t believe Zay Jones would continuously improve. They didn’t believe Wyatt Teller would continuously improve. It sounds like you agree, for the most part. It’s very important that Allen improves next year because if he plateaus, it might be time to start sniffing around other potential QB’s.
  4. So here would be the question. If Josh doesn’t take another step forward next year, you don’t think Beane and co start reevaluating the QB position and start scouting next years class a little harder? I think they do. As they should. As for offensive expectations, “not hurrying” to have a good offense has resulted in 3 years of bad offense. When do they start feeling more urgency on that point? If Allen turns out to be a franchise QB, no one should be worried about letting him get away. It’s the converse, hanging onto a guy who isn’t a franchise QB without a back up plan, which is the real danger. It’s drafting EJM in 2013, and waiting 5 years to draft another QB that’s the real time waster.
  5. He touched the ball 30 times last year. Not sure how productive anyone is with 30 touches. That’s a different story. Walking away with Dobbins etc I get.
  6. I don’t like Yeldon. He couldn’t break through last year and him getting significant carries this year is a failure.
  7. My answer is yes. Yeah I’m not sure you’re necessarily going to find that unless we grab one of the top guys.
  8. Because I guess there’s no guarantee we get the guy we want until we get him, you know?
  9. I know, I know. RB is a devalued position. But if we are looking in round 3-5 for another RB, we will mostly be looking for a serviceable back. Sometimes you find a star, but that’s not the norm. So why not try to acquire someone else in the RB room and not pigeonhole us into a need pick? Freeman, Miller, Thompson, Hyde, Crowell have all had varying levels of success at the NFL level and somewhat recently. Many of them have been far better than TJ Yeldon, who couldn’t even supplant Frank Gore’s corpse last year. Not to mention some potential trade targets like Gio Bernard. Do we really need to draft an RB2?
  10. He looked older and running out of gas to me. Probably not great. Peyton Manning looked bad in 2015, but I don’t think that means he shouldn’t have won MVP in 2013 lol.
  11. Even then. Take a look at say, the Seahawks. They grab Russell in 2012. They didn’t have a 1st rounder in 2014, so at best they take Carr or Jimmy G with a trade up (but why?), at worst, Logan Thomas, Tom Savage, Murray, McCarron, Mettenberger. Now 2016, they have no chance at Goff or Wentz due to picking 31st in the first. Which means if they don’t draft Dak, they are basically getting a bum. And even if they draft Dak/Carr/Jimmy G, they would easily be worse off.
  12. You would think Bills fans of all people would see the glaring issues with a “let a good QB walk and just find another in the draft,” strategy. I mean, we tried to “just find another one” for how many years?
  13. It’s plausible but not practical. If the Eagles let Wentz walk this year rather than paying him, who would they have a chance to draft? Especially considering they traded assets for Wentz in the first place. And then they are going to play out their aging stars last years with a rookie QB trying to learn how to play in the NFL? It begins to defy logic when you actually attempt to apply it.
  14. Can you answer? How many bad QB’s have won an MVP?
  15. How many MVP’s did Taylor win? How many bad QBs have won MVP? You literally stink at this.
  16. What’s your definition of “most years.” This is like defining after the fact.
  17. Passer rating is imperfect. Josh Allen had a worse passer rating than Fitz, Goff, Murray, Jones, Minshew, Keemun, Carr and Brissett last year, good for 24th in the NFL. I’m guessing you don’t think all those dudes were better than Allen last year.
  18. I know. It was sarcasm. Somehow the other teams in our division have managed to have more success than us but I guess it was all the Pats fault.
  19. Yes, because no AFC East team besides the Pats have won a playoff game since 2002. None of them have ever beaten the Pats in the postseason. Or gone to AFCCG. Or won the division. The Jets and Dolphins have never had any success ever!
  20. Newton was a top 10 QB or close to it for much of his career. Andrew Luck was a successful pick. 53-33 as a starter, 4 playoff wins, 4 Pro Bowls, CPOY. Your argument would imply that Matt Stafford was successful pick and Cam Newton and Luck were not. And I like Stafford and think he’s criminally underrated and that’s STILL crazy.
  21. I guess enjoy laughing now. I just wish we were the ones laughing on January 5th. Oh, and Houston has more playoff wins than the Bills have had since 1995. The Houston Texans were FORMED in 2002.
  22. The Cam Newton slander has reached insane levels. This akin to guys saying Peyton Manning sucked because he was trash his last season. His career was that of a good to great QB. Sure it would have been nice if he played longer. But if you think Carolina is looking back at the 2011 draft and saying, “Man I wish we drafted Julio and paired him with Jimmy Clausen,” you are an insane person.
