Pegula Divests from Knight Hawks after pulling out of Rochester Lease
FireChans replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pegs may be the first major sports owner in the US to sell a professional team at a loss. I’m not sure he can give the Sabres away. This is the first I have ever heard of the “Knighthawks” existing. Not super concerned. -
Chad Johnson says Stevie Johnson the best route runner ever seen
FireChans replied to Lafromboise's topic in The Stadium Wall
You won’t get flamed for speaking the truth. He wasn’t a number 1 talent. He was a high volume target on a team with next to no receiving talent. David Nelson was WR2 with 97 !!!!! targets in 2011. He was just an above average player on a team filled with very bad ones. Much like Freddy, who I love. -
The vibes in Miami are so bad though. GM and HC are dead men walking and it feels like half the org knows it. Tyreek and Jalen Ramsey actively want out. I feel like if they start off 1-2 or 2–3, they will fall apart completely.

Jim Kelly better send back his jacket.

Yes, Stevie was underrated and tough to cover. His 37 yards didn't routinely make Revis look like trash lol. Stevie was averaging ~60 YPG back in those days. Don't let your AI bot do your thinking for you. -

He had some good moments. Just for fun, can you ask your AI what Sammy Watkins did to Revis? -

5 games for 15 catches and 185 yards is 3 catches for 37 yards average per game. Thats making a CB look like trash? -
Tyreek Hill chirping about the Bills again
FireChans replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDaniel gets impatient and can’t stick with it. he couldn’t wait to get back to dialing up Tua intermediate balls when they were getting 8 YPC in that game. -
I really like Haliburton a lot so I don’t say this to be rude. But he’s kind of like a glue guy superstar. The Pacers offense doesn’t need him to get 25-30 points for them to win like a traditional scoring superstar. So really, unlike OKC if SGA was out, I think they have a good chance of weathering the storm.

Classic Achilles just like Rodgers and Durant. Sucks to see

Because Lamar is a 2 time MVP and 3 time first team All Pro.
-
He was the original Milano. He had some splash plays as a rookie that you felt could open the door to more playing time.

Honestly, Coleman could learn a lot from Stevie. One of the most unique release packages in the game -
Do you earnestly believe Josh will be getting 12-15 rushing TDs a season at 35 or 36 years old?

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
FireChans replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
The list of largely JAGs, busts and irrelevant players had a couple nice little outliers. It didn’t change the fact that the average or median player on that list is definitively JAG status. fair point on it being a positive that Keon hasn’t flamed out of the league already. -
I wouldn’t take Jim Kelly over Phil Rivers but Jim’s in the hall and Phil likely won’t be.
-
Terrell Davis is a 3x AP1 and 2x OPOY and MVP and 2 time Super Bowl champion. That’s kinda the point.
-
That’s not the argument so why would I take that bet lol.
-
I don’t agree because ultimately Lamar is a 2 time MVP and a 3 time All Pro. Josh is a 1 time MVP. Who is better is not the question.
-
Josh Allen hasn’t played that many though. Lamar is in if he retired tomorrow. I don’t think Josh is.
-
That’s kind of the problem though, imo. Matt Ryan and Phil Rivers both overlapped with even better HoF QBs. That’s the danger that Josh could find himself in that could harm his chances. If a Jayden Daniels or younger guy starts stacking awards or SBs, Josh could becomes the 4th or 5th best QB in his “era.” If Burrow wins MVP and the SB next year, Josh falls to 4th among his age group, right? I don’t think that will happen, of course, but that’s why to me his HoF case is not bullet proof yet. there is nothing that another QB can do to keep Mahomes or Lamar out. Jayden Daniels and Burrow win the next 2 or 3 MVPs/Superbowls and Josh Allen doesn’t, and he may be on the outside looking in.

Thanks for reminding me Tyreek and Godwin were very good lol. Here’s some reference for you. # of 1000 yard seasons for the teams that drafted them on that list Robinson - 1 Cooks - 2 Tyreek - 4 Godwin - 4 Woods - 0 Pittman - 2 So really that’s an average of just 2 seasons of 1000+ yards or more out of the best of the best of that list lol. So there’s a 66% chance he never touches 1000 yards once. And then if he’s an average of the BEST of those players, he’ll have 2 1000 yard seasons for the Bills. Ever. So then let’s look at second round WRs in general. to my eye, that % doesn’t look that much different for any random second round WR. So yeah, that 500 yard season is irrelevant. A 30-40% chance of hitting 1000 yards once is basically where he started. -
How many wins do the Bills get without Josh?
FireChans replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, I’m just saying the WRs sucked in 2018 and thus didn’t have a ton of yards and that the WRs sucked in 2024 and thus didn’t have a ton of yards. the 2024 group can be better and still suck. I’ll just ask again if you think that Stroud does better on the 2020 or 2024 team. You said “you can easily say,” but I want to hear what YOU say. Because your line about easy pass outlets is very funny when we had arguably best WR1 in the NFL and an All Pro slot WR in 2020. And a defense that had Hyde, Poyer, Tre, a healthy Milano etc etc etc. Imo, 2020 WR’s and defense much better than 2024. Like inarguably widely superior 2024 has a better RB room, arguably the least valuable position outside of STs and a better OL. TE’s is Dawson Knox both ways and a slot TE who wouldn’t be on the field with Beasley much anyway so he’s near irrelevant. So the answer is 2020 by a MILE for me. -

I guess I misunderstood your quoted post. But anywho, here are the players who put up 500-600 yards in their rookie seasons since 2013. Robert Woods Aaron Dobson Allen Robinson Brandon Cooks Martavis Bryant Dorian Green Beckham Tyreek Robbie Anderson (Chosen) Chris Godwin Christian Kirk Antonio Callaway MVS Hollywood Brown Mecole Hardman Gabe Davis! Michael Pittman Elijah Moore Pierce Jahan Dotson Dontayvion Wicks Michael Wilson Demario Douglas Keon Coleman Bob Foster So there you have it. It’s a who’s who’s JAGfest. there’s a gazillion of NFL WR’s that can put up 500 yards when they are featured in an offense. Was anyone worried about Pop Douglas being the next DHop or Davante Adams in New England? I wasn’t. Stevie was a nice little wideout but he put up 3 inefficient as hell 1k yard seasons as the #1 option. SOMEONE has to catch the ball.
