  1. You’re forgetting a lot of players. Torrence started every game. Tre started every game as a rookie. Singletary started every game as a rookie. Rousseau played a ton as a rookie. Hell, even Cody Ford played a ton. Really Kincaid kinda faded down the stretch so he probably did need to work his way in a bit. And Cook couldn’t pass pro at all last year, and still wasn’t great at it which limited his opportunities. Plus we fired the OC who was keeping Shakir on the bench. Idk, I think if the Bills draft a WR in the first, they will play a really heavy role, unless they are awful.
  2. Zero excuse to have that much family money and be so stupid.
  3. Was it a good move to give him to a team with an established franchise QB to sit behind and a bunch of underpaid future hall of famers in our conference then?
  4. It's true, at least per spotrac. A post 6/1 release or trade would save the Bills $19M in 2024, but would incur a 2025 dead cap number of 22M. If Diggs is on the team in 2025, his cap hit would be 27M. It's basically like a restructure, kicking the can down the road, and paying later. except with only minimal long-term savings and another hole at boundary WR.
  5. Gabe Davis, a fourth round draft pick, had 10 games of over 60% of offensive snaps as a rookie. 12 games if you go down to 59% of snaps. Put another way, as a rookie, he had 1 game where he played less than 40% of offensive snaps. So where does this criticism come from?
  6. “This offense doesn’t look good enough to win a Super Bowl” Allen - “okay” Diggs - “well, I’m trying out there. I know my production is down, but it’s not because of me. I don’t know what the future holds, ima keep doing me, and whatever happens, happens.” Bills fans - “why are Diggs comments a story???? It’s such a MYSTERY!!!!!”
  7. Henry + Allen in redzone situations is as close to an unstoppable combo as it gets in the NFL, imo.
  8. Imo, saying if they won the Super Bowl, it was a good tactic is a very simplistic and again, imo, wrong way to evaluate personnel decisions. The Chiefs drafted CEH in the first and went to two SB’s and won one, potentially two, while he was on the team. Does that make drafting him the right decision? I don’t think so. Bingo. The debate shouldn’t be “do we win 3 Superbowls and go to 6 AFCCG games with Mahomes instead of Allen?” The debate is “if Sean McDermott doesn’t make the trade to give the Chiefs Mahomes, and he either selects him or still takes Allen the next year, are the Bills more successful than we have been currently?” The answer is overwhelmingly, yes.
  9. You are correct about one thing. Diggs has always been a borderline malcontent to the media his whole career. It’s a very popular trait for some, and a very unpopular trait for a lot more.
  10. Aren’t Saquon, Josh Jacobs, and Austin Ekeler all expected to be available as FA’s?
  11. Does the last paragraph really matter? I mean I guess it would be better than nothing if we needed the Mahomes picks to get Allen and get the second best QB in football, but it’s all for naught if we don’t break through and Mahomes wins the AFC every year regardless. That’s all well and good, but we GAVE Mahomes the perfect situation to stand in our way for 4 years and counting. Even if we didn’t draft Mahomes, if we don’t make that trade, maybe he goes to the Bill O’Brien Texans, or the Colts, or the NFC or literally any other team without HoF weapons and coaching. The one person who could’ve stopped Mahomes from landing in the perfect situation to dominate us in the postseason was Sean McD. This is basically our curse of the Bambino.
  12. Perform in January would be better tbh
  13. It was the same way in Minnesota near the end. Diggs has mastered toeing the line of being a full blown media circus without actually saying enough to get all the way there. He knows to say just enough to raise antennaes, but not enough to clearly be in the wrong or have folks around the league think he’s a locker room cancer. Hope we right that ship or hope he’s gone in 25.
  14. And sign Derrick Henry!
  15. I'm very interested in seeing how the FA WR market is with such a deep WR draft incoming. A WR starved team may make a big splash and plan to get one in the draft like the Panthers, but I think someone like Darnell Mooney may be left out in the cold asking for much more than 8-9M AAV.
  16. I’m not sure he will be looking for that much loot personally. I’m not arguing for this move, I’m just saying I think it might happen.
  17. The voices, mostly?
  18. Who will get more money in FA?
  19. In a weird way, I wouldn’t change a thing. Picking EJ Manuel, doubling down on that draft pick by trading up for Watkins, using the 2015 first instead of the 2014 second so we could pick Cyrus Kouandjio (yikes), all of it spun the tapestry for us to eventually get Josh Allen. Butterfly effect and all that. Yes, maybe we break the drought a little bit sooner if we don’t make that trade, but by the same token, maybe we don’t have Allen as our QB. Maybe we are paying Derek Carr $30M a season. Maybe we have Dak Prescott choking in the first round every year. Maybe we are still looking for a QB. We are one of the handful of franchises with a surefire elite QB. A QB that makes us top 3-4 in Super Bowl odds in Vegas every year. The Sammy Watkins trade was worth THAT.
  20. I’m slowly getting more and more convinced this is the kind of old good player that Beane will go after. Especially with Brady’s emphasis on the run and McD being a defensive guy. A pound the rock for 3 YPC guy just feels right. So what do we think?
  21. It wasn't impulsive. Max Crosby was saying he was going to demand a trade if Pierce wasn't named HC. Now the players probably feel that way because of McDaniels over Bisacchia 2 years ago. But I think Davis had much more heat internally than externally. I also don't think coordinator experience is THAT big of a deal for the HC job. Harbaugh was a ST coordinator. Tomlin had 1 year of being a DC ever. We are down to picking up the stems of the Shanny coaching tree. And at this point, I'm not sure the offense is all that "innovative" when the clones run it.
  22. This is correct. The fourth WR off the board last year probably had the best rookie season. The first had a slow start, and the second has major bust concerns already. The second best WR taken was pick 55. In 2022, the top 2 WR’s were the second or third off the board. The arguably third best was pick 52. In 2021, the best WR was the first off the board at #5. The second best was pick 112. In 2020, best WR was the fourth off the board. The second best was third off the board. The third and fourth best were fifth and sixth off the board. Moral of the story, don’t trade up for a WR. They haven’t been dropping the ball in the postseason.
  23. I think he’s about to be a Raven personally.
  24. The absolute best thing to happen to Sam Hartman probably. Sucks to not see all the guys play.
