  1. I've noticed that in general these days, reporters seem to want to set the stage before they even ask their question, or they just want to lecture the person they are supposedly asking a question of. It's highly annoying.
  2. I'm kind of surprised the NFL allows this then. Actually, maybe I'm not. The only way they'd care is if they could charge people to watch them, then for sure the sound would be up to snuff.
  3. A lot of people listen to him, and iirc he's one of the highest paid sports radio personalities in this area.
  4. It's a ridiculous setup and I'm not sure any other teams do it like this.
  5. I think McDermott wants it this way, make it as painful as possible for all involved.
  6. That's cool, however in the end, being optimistic or pessimistic really has no bearing on how your favorite sports team will ultimately play.
  7. Point differential is a good predictor of how good a team actually is. Of course there are many other variables, but to ignore it is back to "hoping" the team is good, which is totally useless.
  8. Who would be happy with that finish?
  9. I'm an expect the Bills to compete for championships type of fan.
  10. 1) I feel that 5-2 is a bit of a fallacy. 2) How do you know someone who is not happy with the team is not having any fun? 3) This is the internet, where grown men go to whine and let off steam because our culture leaves no other outlet for us. I think the take some of you have that fans want the Bills to do poorly to prove correctness is misguided, it's more of seeing a train headed for derailment type of situation.
  11. I'm sorry but the days of grooming a QB for 5 years are long gone. FO's and coaching staff's get 3 years. QB's drafted in the first round get 2-3 MAX. Adapt or die.
  12. Maybe look at it like the entire D-line was bad, and Star was the least problematic for this particular opponent.
  13. Mayfield suffers form the "short man syndrome" better known as the Napoleon Complex. Doug Flutie had similar issues but to a much lesser degree.
  14. Daboll seems to lack the ability to understand the flow of a game, he kills his own drives too often.
  15. Because why exactly? His points hit an uncomfortable nerve maybe?
  16. Losing games, losing the locker room, losing your job. McDermott is a preacher of culture, if the results are not there, the followers will start questioning their belief's. This is why to McDermott, it is so important to get process guys, it takes them longer to lose faith, they don't question the preacher, etc. Culture in lieu of talent = losing IMO.
  17. Data shows they are not a good team, just like data showed in the late 80's there might be exoplanets. Those scientists were derided for their takes and some of them even kept quiet in fear of losing their careers ultimately missing out on a Nobel prize. The data has been proven out year after year the Bills are not a good team, yet year after year the fight is the same. It's math & science vs. religion season after season it seems.
  18. McDermott's culture is not showing up in games against quality opponents however. If that trend continues, the culture will break down, it cannot last.
  19. There will definitely be a strike, I think the next CBA negotiations will be pretty nasty.
  20. Many fans have been touting how much better Allen has been or will be than Trubisky, so it's relevant to the conversation.
  21. I can't say I am a fan of his attitude, but Schopp has been right more than wrong the last ~17 years. Can't say that about most Bills fans.
  22. Bills fans already love Dalton for his Buffalo Bills playoff heroics, so it's a perfect fit.
