And the Lions convert a ton of first downs; 4th/2 is probably a 65%+ conversion rate for them

But when the chances of converting are the same as the chances of making the kick, there is nothing wrong with going with the bigger upside

The odds of picking up the first are probably equal to or better than the odds of him hitting the kick
