  1. We’re talking about two different things. If Watt has been pushing that line, as @Hapless Bills Fan and others have claimed, then he should be flagged/fined, even suspended if he does it enough. I was more just speaking about the technique (punching the ball out) more generally. It’s taught and used by many, if not all teams. Sorry if that wasn’t clear. I don’t think anyone that does it is “classless” or a “scumbag” as others have said. TJ Watt may be though. He’s aware he’s going to get more leeway from the refs given his rep and accomplishments.
  2. Agreed I had to clarify that - I was more thinking of a slight miss, where a guy goes for the ball and gets the ballcarrier’s elbow for example.
  3. by that standard, quite a few Bills defenders are also lacking “class” as you put it. Punching the ball out is taught by coaches all over the league. If you screw up and hit the guy in the head or something and get flagged that’s on you, but hard for me to accuse the defender of being classless. They’re trying to make a play.
  4. Good point - if you miss so badly you blast the guy in the head (for example), the flag is coming no matter what, as it should.
  5. TJ not JJ. And if the intent is clear enough that he was going for the ball I don’t see why they would ever flag that.
  6. WFT is definitely complicit in this - to paraphrase the saying, Snyder could *mess up a cup of coffee. Again, though, there’s no legitimate reason for these people to be down there on the sidelines, before, during or after the game. They have free tickets. They probably have their pick of luxury boxes. What they don’t have is any job that requires them on the field. They get this access and use it for one reason: to flaunt their clout and (as you said) attempt to monetize it. Which is fine, I’ve no problem with people using social media to make money. But they can easily dance in the stands, in their box, in the concourse, etc…
  7. Stupidity doesn’t excuse things, but it can explain a whole lot.
  8. Probably been said/asked already, but there’s zero reason why these people should even be allowed anywhere on the sidelines. Go sit in your luxury box/amazing seats.
  9. Good stuff. For a good cause. I bought a pair.
  10. i’ve heard stories/rumors here and there…the rating gods at EA are definitely biased. Where that bias comes from is up for debate. Some say personal fandom, others say they’re pressured from above. But yeah Josh should be a 95 OVR at least
  11. No you’re right Boston fans are far worse. Locally here in Buffalo though there are some Bills fans getting more and more mouthy.
  12. Yeah Philly kind of did him a solid trading him to a legit contender. Good for Ertz.
  13. Well Goedert was out. On the Covid list. So not that weird.
  14. Maxx Williams? Yes he’s on IR.
  15. Titans defense is pretty bad still, yes? 42-17 buffalo. Oh dang, I just did the same thing. 🤣
  16. Hey I am very glad he worked out the drop issues. He always had the athletic potential to be a great tight end - no one knew if he could actually develop it though, partly because he was used so sparingly in college as a pass catcher. His drop issues early rightly worried some fans, including me. I’m not apologizing for squat.
  17. There’s nothing “tough guy” about it. Stunts like these are just petty revisionism. They’re promoted by clout chasers looking to boost their follower counts by a few hundred. All they do is divide fanbases. “Oh, you were critical of Knox and skeptical of him? Well, I never was, even when he dropped 20% of his targets. Here, sign this form and admit your sins to the internet.” Lame.
  18. well imagine my surprise it’s the trainwreck sports guys behind this nonsense. Wannabe barstool nobodies.
  19. In a world of terrible, inconsistent officiating, pick play penalties are probably the worst.
  20. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/10/13/to-get-wft-emails-pressure-is-being-placed-on-nfl-sponsors/ hell yeah give me all that ****. If this ends up disgracing Snyder and getting him out of the league I am all the way on board. This is loooooooong overdue.
  21. Is Hunt the leader of a whole team? Again, leadership is (and should be) held to a higher standard. If you want to point out hypocrisy, your aim is off. You should be pointing it at people like Dan Snyder.
  22. Not too odd when you realize he’s just a bootlicking access merchant.
  23. Calling Schefter a journalist is a bit of a stretch. “Paid shill” would be more accurate.
  24. Doesn’t amaze me. There are people all over the place that think just like gruden and they think crude deflections are adequate cover for themselves. Cuz they’re smarter than us, you see?
  25. Sabres…fans??? 😉🤣
