  1. Not to mention we just punted on one of the better RB drafts in some time. If he leaves and we don't try and fill the hole internally (serious downgrade) it would likely be in FA. At which point it's back to my call outs. You're spending 5-8 million or so, you have just as much left over from the 15 million, at which point you sign a guy who is likely a back up. I just don't agree with it. As much as I don't think Cook is worth 15 million dollars I also don't see an easy path for this team to use that 15 million and replace the value Cook brings. It seems like you're in agreement of this largely so just adding to your call outs.
  2. Imagine taking one sentence snippets from other peoples conversations to start crap and then calling those people haters
  3. I'm a 43 year old, left leaning Trump hater. I'm not buying what Benji is selling, but the Iranian regime, as I said, is among the worst in the world. I feel for those people and know a ton of them who have come here, most with family still in Tehran, and yet they still support what is happening from Israel after watching their freedoms reduced to something out of the Middle Ages under this regime. It is true that the future without Khamenei is uncertain, but it is just as true that the future with him is too. I don't trust Israel, but if these actions can help give those people a chance, then I'm hopeful something good can come from this. I also genuinely do not think Israel has any interest in attacking energy assets that would impact the global system. They have little support for this war as it is, and doing so would all but eliminate it. If you think that is the case, so be it.
  4. His athleticism is what allowed the play to happen. For 15 million dollars this team will not find a player that will make as big of an impact as Cook will. If you don't agree with that statement I get it. That's how these things go. I think he's a 12 million dollar guy and not 15. But I keep getting stuck on reflecting on my own financial situations over time. A lot of the time 10% would have secured my highest motivation as it showed a belief in me. I have gotten it at times and not in others. In the end the cost to the employer was a very dedicated high performing employee over a fraction of what the likely replacement and training costs would be. I see the gap from 10 to 15 million with Cook as a fairly similar situation which is where I really wonder just how much more we would get with 5 million dollars?
  5. What about Trump mobile plans? Or Trump beer coolies, or Trump hats?
  6. The overreaction to last year is far crazier.
  7. His playoff resume is among the best ever. His defense in several of those years was a liability
  8. Peace talks? Iran was never going to give up it's pursuit of a nuclear bomb. Negative never if the motivation was from Israel. Netanyahu IS pursuing a regime change and it is primarily a result of the eventual threat of Nuclear weapons. The regime in Iran and threat of a Nuclear bomb go hand in hand. You can't remove that threat while the regime and Khamenei are still in power. If the energy infrastructure was a primary target he could have easily done the damage you discuss. It's not, as he will lose what support he has if he took those actions. You keep calling out Gaza, so I imagine your beef is more about Palestine. Which I would focus more of your conversation towards. The Iran leaders have been oppressing and killing their own for decades. It is one of the worst regimes in the world. They deserve less than no sympathy and if ultimately the threat of a nuclear bomb was just noise to justify overthrowing Khamenei it's doing the world a favor.
  9. I think he's a franchise killer. 2-13 his last 15 games vs winning teams. Sure it's a team game, but no top 10 QB is producing that record in those situations. System QB, can't perform vs elevated competition (this with elite weapons). That is all when fully healthy and forgetting that any team who invests in him basically has a time bomb on the entire season that can go off at anytime. I would rather take developmental QB's or be QB less in draft mode than have Tua.
  10. What 15-20 running backs are going to make this play? Is Devin Singletary going to do it? Zack Moss? That is what replacement level is. If you don't pay him what will you do with the money? Go get a 10 million dollar RB and a back up corner? How about we scrap that plan and target a WR with all of that. Josh Palmer is about what we can get. If you trust Beane to land an offensive difference maker with that money so be it, but to replace him with a replacement level back (which Davis and Johnson are) then assume your money lands you a difference maker that is even close to what he did for us last year is fools gold.
  11. Over a hundred thousand in downtown San Diego. I didn't see any money being offered.
  12. I was sold to extend Cook after the 4th down TD run in the AFC championship game. That run is at the center of the debate in my opinion. We blame coaching a lot around here but we also blame top end talent. That is an example of top end talent and what it means. Ray Davis or Ty Johnson and it’s a turnover on downs. That was one of the best runs a Bills player has EVER made IMO. So what are we talking about between what we thought he would cost and what it looks like it will cost for him to be happy? About 5 million dollars? Well, for 5 million dollars I would rather have an impact player vs a replacement level player and another back DL or DB. That is what people here are trying to protect for us. A back up level player.
  13. Don't have it on your birthday and I would agree with you.
  14. As opposed to what, obese people in wheelchairs or coffee stained white shirts.
  15. Can we be better than blaming and insulting either political party when somebody dies like this? It’s an American for gods sake. Nobody wants this *****.
  16. I take it more as posturing for further negotiations. At which point Khomeini is not going agree to any of it. Not to the extent that Netanyahu is satisfied. Even if they agreed to something, Netanyahu won’t be satisfied until the supreme leader is dead. Which you can’t really blame him for. I knock Trump a lot but don’t think this is an unreasonable critique. Strength is not telling somebody you’re going to kick their ass. Strength is not saying anything and if forced to do so, kicking their ass. I don’t like the super liberals either and really don’t know how they seem to control the party at this point. But I’m the opposite, I dislike Trump more than them. But understand the take either way.
  17. Take your pick. Tarrifs, war, domestic policy. He doesn’t like to look weak. That much is clear and this constant “or else” tone which seems to amount to nothing will eventually limit his options. It’s inevitable.
  18. I’m more of the opinion that Iran will be Iran and they can never be trusted. So I don’t out this on Trump. But reading Trumps rhetoric today, he just constantly goes to the biggest threat he has. The boldest language. Yet nobody ever seems to give a crap. As I have said before, you can’t always go all in. People will eventually see most the time it’s bluffing. I’m concerned this will eventually back his ego into a corner and he will make an overly aggressive action to compensate for all the previous threats nobody took seriously. His posturing is eventually going to cost him and us.
  19. Correct, I REALLY don't like Trump, but blaming him on this shouldn't be in the cards. Heck, blaming Biden shouldn't be either. It doesn't matter if you used diplomacy or aggression, Iran was never going to stop pursuing a bomb. Whatever they agreed with they will not honor. They can't be trusted and Netanyahu knows it.
  20. Bet we see all time highs by next week heading into FOMC
  21. Alright, you have one worthy x post now. We need to sign that dude.
  22. Iran's people live under a regime that commits unspeakable atrocities. A large part of Iranian people love the US and many come here and live in Southern California area (LEGALLY) I don't think I have met any short of an MBA. Very intelligent, hard working, friendly people. They just want to be able visit home at some point without fear of retribution for coming here. Obviously Iran is neighbors with Israel and Iranl has been threatening nuclear action for a long time. Trump has shown a strong focus on trying to negotiate with Iran and I think that scares Israel as they ultimately don't trust Iran's regime to ever hold up to an agreement. Israel would rather handle this with military intervention and remove the regime as that is really the only way to long term peace. That is also what the majority of the Iranian people want. But we will see further talks between the US and Iran Sunday, so it's just an interesting and complicated situation. I think Trump really wants to cut a deal as conflict in that region isn't what he wants to see. Israel doesn't want him to cut a deal because if he does they likely won't have the freedom to use force as we saw today. But Israel also can't stand in the way of a deal or sabotage it with it's relationship with the US. Most of these views are from a few Iranians I spoke with today regarding the bombing with family in Iran. So I trust these view points.
  23. I hope it turns out that way. I'm not thrilled over his frame. Obviously DB's don't have to be meat heads, just toothpick legs and small frame as a whole is what concerns me.
  24. 1. You put up a couple posts of crime on Twitter, yet no evidence exists that Americans aren't murdering, raping, and robbing at higher rates than the illegals are 2. You doubled down on never being directly impacted 3. Pretty sure your behavior crosses into an addiction, not so sure you can casually go without reposting content, still haven't heard you ever mention why you do it after asking multiple times 4. Cool? 5. Because something happens, doesn't make it what is happening. You and others here have a real tendency of citing singular examples as evidence something is happening. As I said, sharks HAVE bitten people, but I don't think I should be worried about sharks.
