  1. Snakes on a plane thread 2006 good grief, never had seen this only recall reading above thread. Instead of watching Leaf hockey game, thought this might be more entertaining. Certainly a hungry group of snakes they are.... Even a boa having a munch on a guy.... yikes Was reading this was a internet phenomenon. Did many of you see this.
  2. I have appreciated reading of those making comments and their obvious love for their dogs, cats, and others. It really is such a individual decision regarding being with your Pet, if his or her death comes by way of euthanize. I am not ashamed to admit having to go lay on my bed and having a cry. Some in sadness , some in just remembering the joy each did bring. I appreciate all , your love and appreciation for the blessings and gift of our special friends. My goodness i can remember looking at my Sheltie Sam, and him standing wagging his tail , looking into his beaming eyes. The vet telling me it was time to let go, me looking back at Sam and telling him, "come on Sam, try hard, they want me to kill you." ( he could not lay down anymore as his organs were pushing against his trachea , that when he lay down he could not breath). We had spent gladly many thousand on medications to allow him more days. We as family talked that night and decided we all would go to vet. That evening I held Sam upright, he died in my arms. I guess I just don't have a opinion for others on the matter. But God yes , how it does hurt. I buried Sam the next day. We wrapped in in our best Quilt and pillow, each family member placed a item of theirs in box. We have stone for marking outside for him , along with others that came before. This on are family farm. I walk past everyday, and remember the many special special times.
  3. Just want to ask the question. I because of health reason's have moved into larger city. Where I live , the son and his friends use fathers house for their private club house to play games and smoke dope, skipping school on a regular bases. The smell of pot is a all day odor, young people turn on fans to rid house of smell as not to get found out by father. This group of young people are around 16 - 18 , high school students. Smoking pot is a daily occurrence. Actually it appears they smoke as often as they have money to pay for it. In my travels back and forth to hospital , I encounter many groups of young people heading to school. What i have seen thus far is rather large numbers of young people sharing joints on way to school. The other day, no exaggeration , three groups of at least 25 young people, smoking pot. I is almost hard not to conclude almost everyone does it. Obviously this would not be so, but it is apparent many do. Not having experience in this area, its a question not a judgment ( don't wish to fight this argument) as Mr. Hand once asked "Are you all on dope" . Is it the norm to smoke pot these days. If so how old should a person be? Is it all right for folks to smoke their brains out, after all its just pot? I am amazed at the amount of people doing it and the apparent high and regular use. Am i just in a high use area, or is it the norm.
  4. The Announcements will be on NFL.com live at 2:30 pm today.
  5. Tournament of Hearts Really is a great event.
  6. i will admit a bias regarding Mennonites From Jacobs Ladder, A Young man with a pad and pencil approached Jacob while he worked. "What are the most important things in life?" asked the youth eagerly. "The most important things in life are not things" said Jacob. "Okay so what do you hold dear?" Again the pencil was ready. "Not what, who," said Jacob. The young man scratched his head. "Are you saying that people are the most important things in life?" "No," said Jacob. What's most important is not to treat people as things."
  7. Mennonite and Amish lifestyle not so bad.
  8. From Good Bye Mr. Chips Fill The World With Love In the morning of my life I shall look to the sunrise. At a moment in my life when the world is new. And the blessing I shall ask is that God will grant me, To be brave and strong and true, And to fill the world with love my whole life through. (Chorus) And to fill the world with love And to fill the world with love And to fill the world with love my whole life through In the noontime of my life I shall look to the sunshine, At a moment in my life when the sky is blue. And the blessing I shall ask shall remain unchanging. To be brave and strong and true, And to fill the world with love my whole life through (Chorus) In the evening of my life I shall look to the sunset, At a moment in my life when the night is due. And the question I shall ask only I can answer. Was I brave and strong and true? Did I fill the world with love my whole life through?
  9. then he took off out of town and fooled around with Janet and Chrissy...... something was up, you can always tell by the look in the eyes...........
  10. i note that Dallas Academy has with drawn its team from league for remainder of season. Can only hope those responsible for league rulings will see to a mercy rule is in place as soon as possible and schools such as Dallas Academy be encouraged to do a better evaluation of the schools chances of competing on a acceptable level as not to embarrass any of the young people involved. The attributes of competing, team play, individual physical improvement, can be accomplished in house league fashion where all are encouraged to participate no matter the skill level. This story seems to end now with a man quitting his job and a team quitting a league they never should have been participating in , in the first place. There does need be standards in place , where no one is put in such situation again. A mercy rule would at least be a start.
  11. ABC dropped it in 2005. The pageant is 88 years old. Apparently these days a network money loser. It really was a huge event at one time, Miss America being crowned to " There she is , Miss America ".
  12. Young Ladies answering question well i thought. Kind of think Miss Indiana my preference, but think Miss New York will win. Moments away...
  13. Miss America Pageant on this evening. Do you and family watch such things? There was a time it was a big deal. Take a look at personal photo of each of the 52 contestants and each in bathing suit. Who do you think will win. Photo Swimsuits
  14. Remember enjoying the television in eighties , " The Wonder Years " . Remember the ongoing relationship between Kevin and Winnie. Always thought these two should be together. Winnie studies art history in Paris while Kevin stays in the United States. Winnie and Kevin end up writing each other once a week for the next eight years. In the final epilogue, Kevin mentions how he was there, along with his wife and child, to greet Winnie when she returned to the United States in 1982. Bummer of ending that is..... Kevin meets Winnie with wife and eight years of writing her every week. Little boy asks Kevin to come out and play, The End... what movie or television series ending did you think were worst in your opinion?
  15. some claim i look like Gumby.....
  16. remember after every game our team won, we got to go to the fat ladies fish and chips and Angelo's for a soda pop. We always carried the star of game over all of us singing, at least I thought and argued greatly these the proper lyrics Bringing in the cheese bringing in the cheese, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the cheese, Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the cheese, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the cheese, I was sure these were the correct lyrics and coach and rest of team wrong, as I had seen this song on Mighty Mouse. Remember eventually having my way and our after the game winning song, did become " Bringing in The Cheese" It did seem a more fun version I suppose. (was seven years old)
  17. A Face People Can Trust yikes, now i know why..... never have trusted those bald guys.....
  18. alfalfa moments
  19. That is the issue with Ray Lewis. Do they have enough cap room to offer him a contract , do they think he has a number of good years remaining to pay him . Story Here says Cowboys ( of course) willing to offer him 27 million of which 25 million guaranteed. He being a free agent is going to look at what others have to offer unless Raven's offer what he wants.
  20. Ray Lewis article Much speculation about what he and Ravens will do. He will be a unrestricted free agent. Clearly at stage of his career will want to be paid the optimum amount he can get as this likely his final contract. They seem to speculate they will franchise him if contract they offer not enough in he and agents eyes. Question for Raven's is, if the franchise him , will it anger him to extent he does not perform up to his standard.
  21. got to get that bacon and orange juice going also.....
  22. Have a great day. Happy Birthday.....
  23. yikes Arizona playing like their shorts are on fire now.
  24. Did not face charges this hung there with him being accused. In the end he was not charged as the prosecutor found there was insufficient evidence. The prosecutors office released a work sheet on the course of events that evening. It stated that on that evening, Sanchez met a young lady , they went in to a dormitory room sat on a bed mutual consented kissing and petting ensued , he wished to proceed further, young lady said no, Sanchez complied, they continued on for a period of time. Later young lady met with friends behaved as nothing out of ordinary had taken place. In morning spoke with Mother after which charges were laid. Police looked into this and ultimately found there was not enough evidence to place charges. Given this teams likely will scrutinize Sanchez life style, but based on what evidence was found it is not likely this event will cause him any real career harm. A side note to this is young lady involved left university after this. In end people will believe what they wish and who they wish, such allegations are difficult for all concerned needless to say.
