  1. Terrell Owens This article a better one Terrell Owens has a pretty good reason for missing the start of the Bills' voluntary offseason conditioning program this week. The star receiver is in Washington, D.C., attending the sixth annual National Alzheimer's Gala. He'll receive the Alzheimer's Association's first Young Champions Award on Wednesday night for raising awareness in the fight against the disease. Owens' grandmother has Alzheimer's.
  2. According to the new Forbes list: Mark Zuckerberg 2008 net worth: $1.5 billion Lost: At least $600 million U.S. The youngest billionaire in the world a year ago is now simply a youthful multi-millionaire. While the number of people poking each other on Facebook continues to rise at impressive rates, revenue isn't keeping up. Mind you what is a mere $600 million compared to this man Anil Ambani 2009 net worth: $10.1 billion Lost: down arrow$31.9 billion Last year's biggest billionaire gainer is this year's biggest loser.
  3. alright I am old, take advantage of me eh....
  4. They are not one of the two teams that didn't , Oakland and Cleveland were the two holdouts... i think that is what glenn meant.
  5. Made a facebook page around a year or so,and visited it perhaps no more than a half a dozen times and pondered just what to do with it. I seem to recall a thread asking who on wall uses facebook, it was motivation at the time to find out just what facebook was. Actually another wall poster a few days ago, requested being a friend, the e-mail request reminded me i even had a page. I would appreciate a site that tells how a person can safely and effectively use facebook or at least a set of opinions. Have googled that very question and came up with a few, but thus far really not much.
  6. People make room for fine people and space will be found for you Tom, something special...
  7. David Letterman Married I had avoided getting married pretty good for, like, 23 years, and I -- honestly, whether this happened or not -- I secretly felt that men who were married admired me ... like I was the last of the real gunslingers," Letterman said, according to a "Late Show" transcript provided by a spokesman.
  8. hmm you are lucky i was having a tough time holding the boys from going over the boards, was certain you think right...
  9. time will tell. Unless these men have a iron clad prenuptial agreement, can see both these in about a year and half on the loose again with about half a billion each plus alimony and a few houses. At the rate one and half wupti doo's a day that is ( likely once a week) kind of expensive, but of course they marry for love...
  10. Yes , stop now. I concur there never should be another Flutie/Johnson argument ever again... ( I was on Flutie side though and thought Rob Johnson was a poopy pants..)
  11. W shall see. What i am saying these smart people, not a Santa Claus fund of playing with money just to see if it works. The notion of Bills games in Toronto, clearly they overestimated as to how much they could charge for tickets and corporate hunger for visibility. Not to be wise but any given Sunday and almost every game folks grumble about costs and on field product coming out of the Ralph and this Wall. No doubt lasts years game was as boring as you are going to see, the ticket prices and, the notion of being used as secondary money source for another cities team insulting, these issues in marketing they will need resolve. I am not privy to the changes they intend but there will be changes. Its not if there will be changes , of course there will be. My guess is in time they will be marketing the Bills as being equally Toronto's and Buffalo's. Its my sense in reading the posts folks of peoples anger and wanting to assure themselves this just will not work, there are enough things around not going so well, the notion of more games in Toronto hardly a welcome one. What i am saying hardly a profound premise , its about the money, forget if it be right or wrong or even fair. Its serves no real purpose to try and convince yourselves that Toronto cannot or will not support a team. Southern Ontario composed of people much similar to western new york, who from birth follow sport from baseball, to hockey to football and many others. Hardly is it new. Just don't see whoever owns team as standing up and saying we appreciate local Bills fans of Buffalo and we will not profit more by going to another city for games because it upsets our local fan base. They will simply say its needed to keep team in Buffalo. Looking at one year in the picture as evidence of anything other than a group that severely miscalculated how they could impose their economic will simply faulty. -again, non of this would be my desire. it just my opinion, in the end its about the money. will be interesting to re-visit this thread in a few years...
  12. My heart is not in the argument, my personal preference is of course all the games be played in Buffalo. But given how teams share in the revenue pool ect, where a team is able to gain more revenue and thus contribute more or at least not cost them money , other owners will be onside especially if it means more money for them. Given the economic climate we live, local political types discussing raising taxes for more monies and such, I think they take the money. Disappointing but true. imo.
  13. In the end it is about the money of course. You shouldn't think automatically they will take a bath. But yes i think they will offer Ralph more upfront money and of course he will take it. Its not all just Rogers money in play here, some are Forbes list richest people in the world, they did not fall off a cabbage truck. Example Leafs this past year grossed $181 million, with cap its not a jump to conclude team made around $100 million dollars, even in this economy. I mention Leafs as shares and ownerships in various teams and companies is intermixed. Like it or not , these folks know what they are doing. It is wrong to conclude these people buffoons and bumpkins. As you said "what a deal", that is why in end there will be more games in Toronto. -just saying, my preference of course is all the games are played in Buffalo
  14. Seem to recall reading similar responses regarding Bills games in Toronto initially, and then many grudgingly accepting the notion of needing to expand market for game in Toronto. My guess is if the Toronto group offer Bills ownership enough money , they will simply market this outcome as the only viable means for team to compete with large market teams fans will need get onside with this or face team moving. Its of note Rogers group will be offering ticket for coming games at reduced prices compared to the first games, they get it to some extent, that insulting Southern Ontario sports fans with such inflated prices was foolish. I have read the various media releases, what else are they going to say other than at this time there is no agreement in place for more games ect. I think donkeys will fly though before you will hear from Bills that there will be no more games in Toronto than the one preseason and regular season ever. If the Bills can bank more money than they would earn in Buffalo via a agreement for more games how can there be any doubt they are going to do it. I think it unfortunate but true.
  15. yes i was going to site his various names over the years... but just listed these well known two. Perhaps like a few years back where he asked what should he change his name to for the upcoming season, maybe we could come to a consensus and politely prevail upon him to use this name or some variation of his choice. I think one name i recall him setting on was fatfakesunny. . At any rate its nice to still see some familiar people posting. Perhaps a thread soliciting a new name for him again is in order. There again the plight of our team has left many dazed and confused.
  16. He a most interesting poster. As with any posts one can choose to read or pass them by. I miss many of the older posters who do not post as much as they once did. Pyrite Girl, Barry Brady, ect, always polite, respectful , agreeing with him or not i appreciate him a great deal.
  17. In all sincerity it would be interesting to hear what others do in terms of volunteering. I am sure many do , but have no desire to draw any attention to themselves, but perhaps in doing so would give others input on idea's. Personally work once a week at foodbank, twice a week helping prepare meals for those having a tough time and will soon be doing work with hospice program. Kind of think often we look to hard at doing to much or what we perceive as something that will make a difference. In my opinion us just being kind is something we all can do no matter the financial attributes we may have. Many folks do live alone, their daily journeys out to shopping the only time they even have contact with others. At times I suspect another person simply showing themselves friendly and taking time for some conversation, does make a big difference. In this sense each of us can do a great work. (imo) (but Poojer, we will be following your progress, as i have said always, if all else fails, bring her to the wall, we are all here to help..... )
  18. No, no, he cannot fool around , has to get down to it right away..... Hi there, my name is Poojer and I am member of "The Stadium Wall". This said with passion and emphasis, be putty in his hands...
  19. oh you are just so shy, no worries we are all here to assist....
  20. you behave yourself, you may not do what poojer is up to, you are taken.....
  21. At times things get to seem so course and negative, it is a challenge to us all (imo) to see a rather anonymous man giving so much of himself. Each doing a good work each day, what a different that could make.
  22. The Angel Of Queens Nice to read of people helping others. This man and family , certainly most committed. Something of value to read and ponder on.... imo In the beginning, Mr. Muñoz’s commitment to feeding these men was modest. Three nights a week, he stuffed each of eight brown bags with a piece of fruit, a cookie and a juice box, loaded the bags into his truck, and drove to the corner where the men congregated. Word spread, and within a year, Mr. Muñoz and his mother were churning out 15 hot dinners a night. Now they feed several dozen on a single evening. “Once I started, I can’t go back,” he said as he headed off one recent evening. “Those guys are waiting for me. These guys, they got nothing. They live in the street. They have no family. They have no relatives, nothing. They just wait for me. And I say, ‘O.K., no problem.’”
  23. Does not appear to be a case of Good and Bad, more extremely smart or extremely foolish. Terrell Owen career total earnings are to this point over $60 million . He has good season this year and he will sign with Bills likely a substantial contract for even more. With all the fuss about Terrell Owens he smiles all the way to Bank. Who knows who much Terrell earns via off field activities and investments. He is not fool. Marshawn Lynch on the other hand signed a five year contract that if he meets all bonuses ect would earn him around $19 million. Thus far in the two years he has played with salary and bonuses has earned around $6 million. In general terms with taxes and agents fees this sum reduced substantially. Who knows what lawyers fee's have cost him to this point. Marshawn is at this point just a eyelash from peeing away a opportunity many only dream of. Can only hope he will rethink his lifestyle otherwise he will remain a fool.
  24. In my years posting on wall don't recall being yelled at by Scott, Nervous Guy, Lori, Rich or others responsible for maintaining a certain level of decorum..... oh well what the hell... “If God had intended us not to masturbate he would've made our arms shorter” George Carlin....
  25. whew.... for a moment thought you angry with me... like this one also... “Just cause you got the monkey off your back doesn't mean the circus has left town.”
