  1. Don’t misunderstand me, it’s just that some here expect our GM and HC to be perfect and when they are not the “ I told you so” nonsense rears it’s head, humans don’t do perfect, and back and forth debates really do need to reflect that fact. I fully expect Beane to have at least one or two acquisitions that don’t pan out every season, it’s a given imo,
  2. So your gonna cling to what happened three years ago? And ignore his taking the blame for screwing up, and then doing a far better job after that? No GM is perfect, we all know that, but by all measurable standards the Bills have been doing really well in player acquisitions (draft & FA) over the last two plus years, and the trend is that it will continue as such. Beane’s success percentage is top five in the whole damn league, I’m not gonna search for it but there was a thread comparing all the teams success percentage a week ish back and showed this to be the case. Anyway, it’s gonna be an exciting off season, with much happiness and gnashing of teeth, enjoy it.
  3. This smells like they believe they won’t be able to convince any FA QB of quality to sign with them, you know full well they have feelers out to player agents thru back channels, so it’s what they had last season and a draft pick, sure hope I’m right on this... 😁👍
  4. It’s the usual suspects of course, these few some how have convinced themselves they know more about the entirety of what is going on with the Bills and the rest of the NFL than our GM does..., life on the forums, it’s always entertaining, 😁👍
  5. Major difference was the Bills had virtually no O line talent to speak of two seasons ago, and then upgraded it, KC is doing the reverse of what the Bills did... That and I suspect Josh Allen won’t cut his nose off to spite his face, contract wise, he comes off as being more sensible, jmo.
  6. I don’t know ND, just maybe not having a massive hole in your LB Corp might be helpful in some way or another..., anyway, Beane is not winging this, he has a plan A, B, and C, with multiple backup plans as needed, he is doing a damn good job, By the way how did that WRs team do that you wanted so badly? It’s never about one guy, it’s about how all the pieces fit and work together.
  7. 13-3 regular season record, division champs, One game from the super bowl, and some fans think Beane doesn’t know what he is doing, pretty amazing don’t you think... Go Bills!!!
  8. It’s not a poverty vow in the slightest, he is just a minimalist when it comes to material possessions, (doesn’t waste his money on crap that’s gonna be in a land fill in year or two). Matt is gonna die a rich man, after living a full life, good on him!
  9. I suspect his agent put out feelers, and the feedback was not worth a change of scenery, jmo.
  10. Good news👍 looks like the odds/percentage of him being re-signed were a bit higher than was thought to be... 😁 ah, life on the Bills forum...,
  11. How many different ways and for how long are you going to say this same thing in every single Beane oriented thread? Asking for a friend😂 you’re as bad as I am when it comes to this technique... 👍
  12. Iirc, I don’t remember him being a particularly good receiver when he was here last, am I wrong on this? I do think it’s unlikely that Beane pursues him.
  13. Those guys are allowed to find employment after playing football ya know, 😁 it’s no different than anyone else having to retrain themselves to be employable, they are not in a protected class, 👍 I don’t understand why so many fans think these guys should not have to get a damn job after there playing time is up, if they didn’t earn a lot or pissed away what they did earn, it’s kinda comical that folk think that way. And I am quite certain that the team followed the rules that apply when they were cut, otherwise it would cost the team even more money...because the players union would go berserk otherwise. Much ado over nothing is what I’m thinking. Go Bills!!!
  14. They should do away with compensatory picks altogether, teams should not be rewarded for poor cap management, or having a player leave after a contract is completed, to bad for them.
  15. How’s that any different than the rest of the working world? Ages ago I was cut from the bank I worked at one week before the annual bonus, and two weeks before Christmas, and that was after exceeding all my scheduled performance goals..., life is like that...
  16. Not this season, currently the team has something around 18 to 25 mil in cap space from what I’ve read, jmo. I could be wrong of course, but I think your source is mistaken,
  17. Poor guy, he’s still the whipping boy, and he’s not even on the team... 😂
  18. Many good choices presented, I think of this question more in position groups, so I’m hoping for both O & D lines / the run game, if those groups make a notable jump, every other position group benefits substantially. Go Bills!!!
  19. There should not be any comp picks period, losing players in FA should be a normal part of doing business, there is in actuality no valid reason for it to exist, being that it happens to all teams, it makes a level playing field, to bad for teams that are not able to control their cap issues, cry me a river...
  20. What? Did the pats get more comp picks already...?
  21. I think that Beane wants the Bills to a perennial contender, and has only little interest in the flash in the pan concepts, it’s not that he won’t do a Diggs type of deal every so often, but he is very pragmatic in his approach to running a football team, which is a very good thing for Buffalo, jmo.
  22. Would have liked to retain him, he was an important piece in the teams growth, thanks JB 👍
  23. From what I have read, the team told him to lose weight after being drafted, his bull rush technique wasn’t producing success as RBs and TEs were being used this block him at times. AJE had to learn a new way to be successful, and that is what he and his coaches have been working on, as has been stated he was seeing some success doing so. I suspect he will have more impact this upcoming season, we have a staff that appears to know how to develop players, unlike in our not so distant past... Go Bills!!!
