  1. Perfect time to go WR, said it upthread...Thrash could bring a deep threat, versatile depth piece. Rice is an outside only guy, but could be nice depth. I like Thrash more for his versatility and YAC. DE: MO Kamara and Javon Solomon bring value at EDGE, as rotational pass rushers CB: Devonshire would be a good fit, and our potential punt returner
  2. You must have said this 100x now...we finally know where you stand after this one Let's see how things play out. Davis is a very good player. Bishop likely steps off the bus as a starter, and future key piece of our secondary. Coach knows Safeties and if he wanted Bishop (enough to try moving up in the 2nd), he must see some excellent potential. Nothing worse than ppl getting upset, at an instant. You did the same on Keon in Jan/Feb, then came around on him. Point is, we won't know until football starts and how these guys will be integrated in our schemes/impact they make. We do know that we just lost our key safety tandem, had to use retread at RB2, and had no DT3 behind Ed that could stay healthy/make an impact. Time will tell, this is a key draft for Beane so if it blows up in his face then I could see a new GM in 1-2 years
  3. I'm hoping Jamari Thrash. I think MJ will be there in Rd 5, we're ahead of Steelers in Rd5, who I think is our main competition for him
  4. I think there are legit 4 roster spots open for: CB, RB, Edge, OL Assuming we go Wr in Rd4. There are some nice value at each of those still available. Beane letting this draft come to him. Instead of spending too much cap on depth guys in FA, restock some key depth roles with young guys. Maybe they all don't work out, but if we can find 3 out of 5 in Rd4&5, that's a good success and will help with cap mgt in future
  5. Barring no trades, I really would like us to go: Rd 4: Jamari Thrash Rd 5 (1st): Javon Solomon Rd 5 (2nd): Best RB left Rd 5 (3rd): Devonshire Rd 5 (4th): Best OL Use 6th / 7th on BPA.
  6. I think Thrash has a chance to be a nice #3/4 to start, and grow into a potential #2 type. He did very good at the Senior Bowl, has some traits that Beane likes. Think he would complement our WR room well
  7. Jamari Thrash is a nice inside/outside versatile WR. Solid YAC guy and enough speed to challenge vertically. I like him better than Rice
  8. Position focus: Edge, RB, WR, OL, CB, possibly P In Rd 4, I think its very possible we move up into the top 10 range. Some team like Min, who could use an extra pick. Buf trades: 128, 144 Min trades: 108 Leaves us with 1 4th, 3 5ths, 1 6th, 1 7th. 6 picks, matching 6 positions up above (possibly we only need 5). I think top of Rd 4 could literally be any of those positions (except P). I could argue for WR (def some talent has slid), Edge (Mo Kamara would be a nice get), etc. But I think the Bills really like Devonshire from Pitt, that's been linked publicly and my Steeler source confirmed that. Steelers are also heavily interested in him. He's a Rd5 talent IMO. He could certainly be our new punt returner immediately. Pitt has very good secondary coaching, they come into the NFL with a solid foundation. I think highest valued at each of those positions listed makes most sense per round. And I can't see us keeping all 4 5ths. Rd 4 is ripe for a potential trade up, if another team desires additional picks.
  9. You need to seriously chill out bro. All these trades, talk of lack of playmakers, etc. Some of the guys you mentioned to trade for: Higgins, Deebo as example. These were both day 2 picks. You could go back and look at alot of past drafts and find Day 2 WRs having a big impact on their team. Whose to say Coleman doesn't have a 800 yard+ season, 9-10 TDs? Just because he's not who "you" wanted, but Beane and professionals spend countless hours deliberating. Kincaid especially, but also Shakir are being counted on to take another step. Samuel brings versatility, and likely 800+ yards. We also have Knox and Cook as complementary receiving options. Likely drafting another WR tomorrow. If you paid any attention to Beanes recent press conferences (since Diggs trade), he has stated multiple times that we aren't necessarily finding a WR1/alpha type. We're going with a GB/Steeler type model, multiple guys who can contribute and all have differing skill sets. Maybe it works and we're a top offense still, maybe the plan blows up on them. But any offense led by Josh Allen is going to be very successful, especially if Brady can improve in certain areas. We're going to be counting on all aspects of offense, more ground game and spreading targets. We need a complete team to compete in playoffs, not just offense only. We need to get more stops on defense/impact plays. We ran out of guys on defense LY, and aging vets. It's time we re-stock at multiple spots, and I'd expect our next WR is WR4/5. Even if you disagree, our top 4 receiving threats are now set between Kincaid/Coleman/Samuel/Shakir Bed time young one.
  10. Of course man, always appreciate a good conversation. Thx for sharing what you heard. We will never quite know, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Beane had them basically equal/or very similar ranking. My source (albeit with Steelers), told me Coleman to Bills about an hour or so prior to draft on Thurs night. I think both could be true, Legette and Coleman equally graded and knowing they'd get 1 of them was enough for Beane to move back. I'd just be genuinely shocked if Beane didn't know exactly who Dan was targeting and all the publicly available info connecting Legette to Car. I'd been happy with either player, Coleman was highest on my list during the Fall (with Worthy). I'm not shocked though that Beane decided to go with a big bodied/physical WR, something Josh hasn't had.
  11. Haynes would be excellent, if he's around near our pick
  12. Too much IMO, I'd be willing to part with 2 of those. But we still need depth pieces at various positions. I think it's more realistic we move up in Rd 4, if someone is sticking out
  13. No way this is true. Beane takes Legette at 32 if he wanted him badly. On top of that, by his own words last night he alluded to asking teams who they're taking when they're swapping within a pick or two. Plus Dan Morgan is a close friend, they likely knew exactly what Car was planning. Then to add on, there's been a TON of Legette to Car at 33 talk. Legette himself said Car would take him at 33, if still there. I'm glad your contact was accurate on the other info, but Beane isn't letting his target go to move back 1 pick
  14. My Steeler source nailed both, including our pick of Coleman
  15. I guess my Steeler source was spot on, with both. Will need to keep asking him for more Bills info
  16. No offense but you can tell him to F off. Plenty of things for Vikings to worry about, starting with JJ Mccarthy...thats a WTF moment.
  17. You should go look up KBs first 2 years in the NFL. Then gets hurt and lazy. Coleman has way better YAC ability, coupled with a work ethic that was non existent for KB. These are lazy comparisons. Play speed and forty time are much different things. IMO, Coleman was very high on the list of WRs playing through contact. That's just as important, bc some blazing 4.3 guy that can't get off a jam or gets their route disrupted downfield doesn't add much
  18. If Wash wants to deal or another team in the next 5 or so picks....I think we should seriously consider it. Keon Coleman is my guy at this point
  19. They had Coleman running go routes and outmuscling/jumping on alot of deep passes. He had an insane catch rate, on passes deemed catch-able, and has some of the strongest hands in draft. KB is a horrible comparison, that ppl make. KB was a very good receiver his first 2 years, then got lazy. Keon is the opposite of lazy, and has the attitude Beane/Coach likes. His forty was bad, but his gauntlet and other explosion drills were very good. I could see using him on all 3 levels of the passing game and is a solid blocker and major redzone threat
  20. I'd like Buffalo to trade with Washington: Bills: 33, 144, 163 Wash: 36, 100 Gets us an extra pick in the top 100 Rd 2 pick 36: Keon Coleman Rd 2 pick 60: Bralen Trice Rd 3: best availabe WR and S in any order
  21. I think that's a bit much, I'm also looking at Rich Hill chart. I think a possibility, without including 2025 2nd, is.... Buf: 33, 144, 163 Was: 36, 100 Pretty even and avoids 2025 picks being traded. Also gets us 1 additional pick in the top 100, by sacrificing an extra 5th
  22. Unfortunately since they executed the 5th year option, they are not allowed to convert his salary to bonus. Although, it is technically possible the 49ers extend him and put low cap hit on 2024, but they'd be eating a lot of $$$s if he was immediately traded. So Greg is correct that it's possible, but with some extreme/unlikely caveats
  23. 100% agree and getting the 49ers to convert Deebos $20m base salary ( or most of it) to bonus (then take on as dead cap in a trade), is likely costing more than a 2nd round pick. Somehow shout this from the rooftops, or hope a reporter asks Beane this question. @Warriorspikes51 might lose it tho
  24. You seem to question the NFL cap rules, so providing this as education to all. https://overthecap.com/collective-bargaining-agreement Go to article 13 in the above. Section 2 is plain and simple, and you can read other parts of the document for additional clarification on salary cap. We have to be under the cap during the league year, which started March 13th EDIT: as @Warriorspikes51 would like it, we'd trade for Deebo then have to immediately release him because we would then be over the cap. Sounds like a great plan to give up a free 2nd rounder right?
