Week 14, Bills v. Chefs - Predict the Score
<bills4life> replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. What’s disgusting is that we are even in this position to begin with. The fan base “throwing stones”, has nothing to do with it. And if a professional making millions of dollars per year can’t tune out the noise to do their job, then you shouldn’t be in that position to begin with. Blaming the fans and social media because you can’t prepare. Gtfoh with that bs. -
Week 14, Bills v. Chefs - Predict the Score
<bills4life> replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was. But I also think a bigger problem is McDermotts brand of football. Playing not to lose as opposed to playing to win. I will not go into a long diatribe to support my reasons. (The body of work speaks for itself). Playing scared is not a good recipe for success. The blame in my opinion begins and ends with McDermott. Getting rid of oc, dc, wr special teams coordinators etc is a microcosm of a bigger problem. One is only as good as their boss allows them to be. The same common denominator is McDermott. Dorsey needed to go because of his stupid play calling. (Shotgun on 3rd and 1 at goalie. Not once but twice. That Philly game accentuates why McDermott needs to go. He knelt with 20 seconds left could have had 2 timeouts with josh Allen and a fog kicker who can kick bombs. Unacceptable. McDermott would have been gone after the 13 seconds debacle if I were the owner. Still waiting to hear about accountability regarding that. -
Week 14, Bills v. Chefs - Predict the Score

It really is. Add the giants to that. 1 yd away from 5-7. It’s the nfl. Anything can happen, however anyone thinking that this is more probable than not is being delusional. If we win the next five awesome. I would be curious to see what the McDermott apologists will be saying if we lose on the last drive because we defer to our defense to make the stop. -
That’s ironic. Because for me the 80’s and early 90’s were the only time that made sense to me.

Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired

I distinctly remember a coach named marv levy getting to afc championships and superbowls. -
Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired
<bills4life> replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
I guess if the goal every year is to be relevant, sniff the playoffs or lose in the first or second due to poor coaching decisions, then I would say yes he is our man. If the goal is to regularly compete in afc championship games and super bowls, sadly he is not the answer. -
We're Going To The Playoffs. (edit: Updated - Super Bowl)
<bills4life> replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
😔 okay let’s say for argument sake they do. (They won’t) what on gods green earth gives you the impression they will go anywhere in the playoffs? (Think early exit or a McDermott defense unable to hold at the end of game). I swear it’s like some of you people have some type of cognitive dissonance or suspension of disbelief. It truly is fascinating. And I do mean that respectfully. -
Where was Kincaid the second half as well. He played sparingly.
-
I have been reading the boards for years. Just because I don’t post often doesn’t mean there was any collusion for whatever you are implying.
-
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome. What transpired yesterday is a carbon copy in close games of McDermott’s tenure here. Yes it’s true, you may be insane.
-
And that was the point of my thread. People need to start being more objective. Everything said objectively about McDermott the past three years have now come to fruition. I’m just so tired of hearing the nonsense “beane is a wizard”’ “big baller beane” blah blah blah. Beane for as good as he has been has missed a lot on many things too numerous to list. I’m not advocating for him to be fired, however people need to start being a little bit more objective in their assessment of him. Just like they should have been with McDermott all along.
-
That sure is a lot of praise for a franchise that has went to exactly one afc championship with the best qb our franchise has ever seen. This franchise has won nothing since he has been here.
-
100 percent
-
Beane is an enigma. Some claim he is a wizard. Others say he has missed out a lot on early round draft picks, has bad contracts, and now has aging and oft injured players on defense. I’m curious to see what others think. What say you?

Buffalo @ Philadelphia Game Thread - 1st half
<bills4life> replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Makes u wonder sometimes. -
He should be our number 2 this year.

Bills could be tied for 1st in the AFC at 7-4
<bills4life> replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
You should be. Kc Philly Dallas chargers and Miami can score points. If our offense does not get back on track we are in for a long second half of season. -
Agreed. I just feel that a team with an all-world qb that has talent surrounding him with minimal injuries, should be bailing out the defense and not the other way around. The bills at this point should be attempting to win in shoot out fashion as opposed to complimentary football. Precisely because of the defensive injuries. Relying on that depleted defense at the end of the game to make a stop or force a turnover is a recipe for disaster.
-
Yes 3 and outs will do that. Especially since we like to play “complimentary football”. Opening drives we do well, 4th quarter we start moving ball after trailing. Rest of 1st quarter up to beginning of 4th the offense struggles because we change up schemes and packages. Don’t even get me started about shotgun formations at 1 yard line to be stuffed on draw twice this year, only to end up with zero points. This offense should be averaging 31 points a game. Hit that threshold and we win more games than not. Here again. This is not a defensive problem. Good offenses can move the ball regardless of field position.
-
Exactly what injuries occurred on the offensive side of the ball that have contributed to the lack of production? Even with all of the injuries, the defense has performed admirably and has done enough for us to win games. The defense is not the problem right now. I don’t want to hear excuses. If the defense was giving up 30 points a game, then I would say yes there is credence to your argument.

McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
<bills4life> replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Funny you say this because I have felt the same way throughout his tenure, only to remain silent as to not infuriate the message board
